Description:

The title of Good Boy's new album, A Mouth Full, is quite prophetic of what it has to offer. Dizzying, disorienting synthesizers and vocoders, dwindling guitars, and colorful, terse bursts of energy, composed and comprised aside George's soft spoken, illusory-filled lyricism. Quite the mouthful indeed.

Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And George give some love. Thank You. :)

(ME

yo this is Andrew. I recorded all guitars (which were acoustic) with an sm57 and vocals with an sm58. Double tracked guitars and panned them hard to either side. Did this all in ableton and basically only recorded when my roommate was in class.

P.S. DID U HEAR MY CHIHUAHUA?
HE'S SUPER CUTE!

how did you learn to record, by recording yourself? i started with ableton and a usb mic
still use ableton, trying to get better mics
i might play them all at once, but i'll make sure the newer stuff starts a few seconds early

Yea kind of just a trial and error process. just try to make my surroundings as quiet as possible and go at it.

if anyone would like to donate exactly 1 dollar to my cause, id be very thankful and able to move on. im stubborn and trying to prove a point to myself.

this is fun, and weirdly australian. it just gives me that vibe for some reason. almost makes me wish i made music with other people.

im no bullshitter, so i'll be straight up and tell you that your vocals need a lot of work. its not totally unbearable, though, because i can tell what you're going for, and what you're going for is good. but i know its just a demo! keep practicing and listening.

listing yourself as every single role is, to me, half douchy and half hilarious, even though it applies to me as well. as for the music itself, i found track 2 very enjoyable, and listened to all 5 mins of it, but it's overall not for me. i definitely recommend it to those looking for those sounds, however!

this too, is not for me, but i will endorse it for being well done

just trying to give attention to posts without responses

Your vocals are unique. The beats are pretty amateurish, not much to do but practice. Stellar raps though.

moremusic4.bandcamp.com/album/3

Fuckin weird ass band from Canada.

i thank you for your words, but i must ask why you didnt listen to what i linked and went on to my older album lol. when im getting zero plays a day i can track this shit.

also, in regards to i thought "Hotel" was nice and that "Unmade Bed" reminded me of a few tracks off "The Fall" by Gorillaz, which you hopefully dont take as an insult, because its not to me. but overall not my thing. certainly recommendable though!
also, is living in santa cruz nice? i have lots of fond memories of the boardwalk. is it just nostalga glasses for tourist-fodder?

"The First of The" is tiring but theres an irresistable tone ringing on every first count. actually its all pretty tiring and certainly fuckin weird, but that track 2 is attracting me like a mosquito to a warm ankle

i don't like listening to singles. Santa cruz is nice, the weather is a constant 60 in the winter and 70 in summer.

spend more time with your music. you seem too eager to just release stuff even though a lot of it is undercooked and pretty blase. I feel like you could make decent stuff if you spent more time with it and focused more on quality than quantity; there's some sparse creativity in this album but most of these songs sound like they were whipped on in 20 minutes or less in FL studio

Listening to this album released off some small scottish label today. Some lovely folk music with lots of strings and a cool story behind it in the description. Definitely worth a listen

(I'm) listening to this right now, I like the crackling and popping of the first track, and especially this second track, which is quite unnerving, I love the subtle distortion and then sudden burst of rumbling. Great song title, too. The vocal sample in the very beginning seems kind of out-of-place, though. Reccing.

Well, Arrayed Above Seraphim Lights is only 36 minutes long, it's understandable if someone thinks it's an EP, we're in the age of CDs and double CD albums.

reasonable enough i guess. i've seen six hour long "EPs" and 20 minute long "albums" so i can see how someone can confuse them. honestly in current year the only way to tell is by what the artist says it is.

Shit Im a huge Grouper fan and this definitely reminds me of her work. Alot more droney with less vocals, but highly recommended. The production is also a bit less lofi, which is nice.

>nillisthenewblack.bandcamp.com
Interesting goth/industrial inspired stuff. Really enjoy the guitars and drums, though the vocals may have to grow on me.

Strange concept of christian themed noise and ambient, I really enjoy the use of textures, though wish there was some more bass in the mix.

>nirione.bandcamp.com/album/love-in-a-mist-ep
I love the arpeggio synths and melodies on this, very 90s sounding, though the bass kicks over power it a little, which may have been on purpose?

>the-all-seeing-hand.bandcamp.com/album/mechatronics
Hot damn, the drumming and vocals on this are great. I love the use of throat singing with the doomy instrumentals.

ok we get it... You've been posting this album for months, everybody has checked it out. You could have stopped posting it at a time when people's interest in your album was peaked, but you've posted it so much that it's turning people off of it

i like your style quite a bit. lo-finess really adds to the overall sound. dl'ing to nod off to later. keep it up, really digging it.

really cool. production is excellent and the album art fits perfectly.

don't have time ot listen to the whole thing right now but i really like the opening track. would go see live. vocals are dope.
