So apparently there are strong rumours that Wolves are about to be bought by a Chinese billionaire who owns the ching chong version of Google. This guy is richer than Abrahmovich so if true should make Wolves a serious force like they were back in the olden days. Just letting you know now so you can start supporting them in advance like I am before the takeover so when they win the Champions League in 5 years you can legit claim to be /lifelong/.

It's fucking happening, mate.
Robin Li is worth 12-14b. He makes Fernandes and the Forest owners look like small time (everyone wants to compare this to those when this is clearly more like a City situation)
What gets me stoked is that a manager is lined up, who has already identified transfer targets. This indicates this Chinaman is willing to spend.
>Baidu cofounder
Woah
Are wolves stronger than foxes?
>Wolves, Foxes, Tigers become rich powerhouses
I thought England didn't understand American naming customs
Even their logo has a paw print. It makes perfect sense. Wolves are ready made branding.
Robin Li is apparently one of the Chinese guys behind the takeover of AC Milan, but wont know for sure until next week after all the papers are signed.
Does anyone really care though?
The amount of money coming into the Premier League nowadays nullifies any kind of input rich owners can realistically have.
Plus its Wolves
Who cares.....
>Foreign players play for clubs owned by foreign billionaires in stadiums full of foreign immigrants
Tell me, what actually makes this league '''''''''''English'''''''''''
Fuck off
I have an old Wolves shirt somewhere. I bought it because it looked cool but its too 90s (baggy) to wear.
I'd say anyone with even a remedial knowledge of English football history acknowledges Wolves as being one of the more prominent clubs in the game's history. Plus in the modern days of international league exposure Wolves have something that most clubs in England don't which is a distinct, marketable brand. What football fan in China or America is likely to remember the name or club badge of AFC Bournemouth or West Bromwich Albion? If Wolves became established in the Premier League they'd make bank on merchandise overseas.
I picked Wolves six or seven years ago as my club pretty much because of the colors and brand desu. It was cool.
So Kanye isn't going to fix wolves?
We invented the sport so all leagues are English
>invent sport
>Bjorn the cowfuckersson is better than you at it
Goat logo tbf
Wear the old gold
Wear the wolf
A further possible link I read earlier is that "Baidu" comes from an old Chinese poem about a man finding his girl in the dark after a long search that has a similar theme to the club's motto "out of darkness cometh light". Wolves had their city crest and motto on the shirt instead of the Wolf's head briefly in the 90s. The club's colours are supposed to represent the dark and light.
Wolves fan here
We're pretty marketable thanks to the name, also got a lot of history, decent youth academy, old famous ground, no debt. Decent-sized fanbase. Pretty good set-up for someone to come in, likely cheap. Can see why someone is buying.
Stinky tesco bag detected
This is good news for lifelong Wolverhampton Wanderers fans such as me.
>Tfw lifelong wolves fan
Where's everyone from lads, Fred the tramp's Island here (rip)
Feels good, lad.
Tipton desu
Always warms my cockles that Wolverhampton had a famous tramp who live in the middle of a dual carriageway for 30 years. He even has a wikipedia article.
He looked /comfy/
Dubs say he bought it because he thought the logo looked cool
So how rich are we talking? New man city rich or mid table Prem rich?
>inb4 whats the difference
>A
>LITERAL
>FUCKING
>DENTIST
dubs and Wolves win the FA Cup this season.
underrated desu
>tfw your club will never be bought out by a slimy, greedy foreign billionaire and is instead owned by passionate and loyal local icons
feels exquisite
That's all you'll have to hold on to once you get relegated to obscurity in League 2 or some shit. Unable to compete in modern football
>owned by passionate and loyal local icons
Who are so inbred they manage to fuck up 2 PL seasons in a row by buying utter shit strikers and end up getting relegated both times.
Bravo, Narrich.
Enjoy mediocrity, buddy.
>passionate
>'where are you' was passion? Tard rage more like, and you fucking lost
Same can't be said for your fanbase for certain at least
Go back to fucking your sister, and enjoy championship mediocrity
Why be a fox when you can be a wolf?
Julen Lopetegui is meant to take over as manager, anyone know anything about him?
>he has his own website
julenlopetegui.com
Big up the wv mandem
If it's this Robin Li bloke then mega rich. If he buys Wolves they would be up there among the richest clubs in the country even richer than Chelsea. Whether or not he spends the big bucks is another matter, but the rumoured manager they have lined up is Julen Lopetegui who was being touted for the Spanish national team job and newspapers over there reckon he's accepted Wolves. Nothing confirmed atm but if it's true seems like they have plans for an immediate Premier League promotion push.
Even his website's colors are black and gold.
>being a furry
He coached Spain's national teams at u19 and u21 level which is probably why the Chairman of the Spanish FA wanted him for the senior job, he knows the players.
So at what point does the Mol become a 50,000 stadiums lads?
That was the plan a few years ago wasn't it before the drops.
Beetroot face Morgan fucked it up, that job was too big for him.
Funny thing is he is literally a builder
ever heard of the ffp?
yam alroight m8?
Ever heard of anyone actually being punished for ignoring it?
looking forward to relegating you as soon as you're promoted
t. west brom
bay too bar me mon, yow?
inb4 the chinese change the colours to yellow and red
literally what the fuck, is this how Wolverhamperites speak?
Wolverhampton Dragon Wolves FC
Didn't some clubs get together and lobby for more lax rules? Pretty sure you can basically spend what you want especially in the Chump
if you're on a promotion campaign from the FL to the PL you can spend like a madman and never have to pay any consequences unless you get relegated within 10 years, which is what Leicester did
>tfw i started following Wolverhampton when based Mick McCarthy got them promoted to the Premier Leage
>Wolves may be the next Lestah
I really dont know how to feel about this.
> Money brings success
no.
