I'm poor, disabled, and living off my federal pension which is about what you make each month. I only pay 470 a month in rent and bicycle everywhere as well. You really need to lower your rent by moving someplace else or by getting a roomy. That rent price is just way to high.

I'm unemployed now but was making only 1200 a month with 550 in rent, 150 in utilities. Car insurance is obligatory in my state whether you have it on the road or not, that's another 125, plus my phone so work can contact me, which is another 100. I have to take care of my father too, so I'm not just paying for myself but him too.

I would much rather still have my federal job and not have health issues. "Just to live" isn't any fun when you are sick and having a career with lots of promotion potential gives you something to work towards. This isn't like living with mommy and daddy who take care of you. You still have to be an adult, deal with your body falling apart, and then deal with the boredom of having too much time on your hands. Having hobbies definitely helps though.

Hey man, I know it's shit to get going, but if I can make a recommendation...if you have the option, and if you can pass a basic calculus course, try a coding bootcamp for mobile programming. I work for a company and they keep hiring complete fucking retards who studied for 6 months, and they are perfectly satisfied with them. Their starting pay is $65,000 per year, and the boot camps will generally help you find work to keep their post-graduation employment rates up.
My best friend was just recently hired as a programmer. He has his degree in it but he says during training they had people with library science degrees learning how to program to do the job. I agree with you, companies are hiring anyone who has basic computer skills in that field right now.

I'm in a loan forgiveness program, retard. I'm doing the REPAYE program, paying 10% of my total annual income for 10 years, and then in 2026, whatever's left, the gov't forgives.
I could pay them off if I wanted to, it'd be a huge bill every month but it's very feasible, most doctors that aren't in forgiveness programs pay off their loans within 10-20 years of graduating.
