Guys i'm trying to fix my mothers computer. But after I put on the thermal paste it don't work. I know a lot of people say put a dot in the center but there wasn't a center to put it on so i kinda just went around the perimeter. Now it don't start. What did i do wrong?

you have to rotate it or it might snap
Nugget the past goes on the outside on top of the CPU. Now you have to remove the CPU and clean it with alcohol and do the dame with the motherboard. Then put the motherboard in the oven at 450 degrees for 15 minutes to re-flow the solders.

Common problem. You have to jostle the CPU so the Intertubes get unclogged. A few good sharp raps with a ball peen usually works wonders
