GEOGADDI THREAD

ITT: We discuss Board of Canada's album, Geogaddi.

I like listening to this album when I'm out on a walk and I have a strong urge to listen to this more when it's winter.

Does anyone else have to be in a certain mood to listen to this album?

I only listen to albums in May

what do you do for the rest of the year you fucking retard

You're missing out on chill winter-feeling albums, user.

I switch hobbies according to which month it is, because having more than one hobby at the same time is stressful

I can still listen to winter albums in May

Used to be but it's been a while since I've listened to the whole album.

Usually I just listen 1969 or Dawn chorus if nothing else

Every time you listen to geogaddi you grow closer to the devil

Holy fucking shit dude

Been there. Music is math, math is science, science is opposing religion, religion is god, science is satan.
Cover art represents the sun, with people acting as the rays of the sun and the center triangle represents geocentrism. Sun is god, geogaddi.
Magic Window, magic is forbidden in religion normally, magic is science.
the EP from 2000, IABPOITC, prepared us for the album.
the most fucked up album I've ever heard.
It is an artifact. It will always exist in the databases. Think about it, nobody will ever unremember the experience. Especially me, who has become so obsessed with unraveling the secrets of it. I've lost a lot of focus and energy, dedicating myself to BOC.
evil.

You are strange.

Listen to the album in reverse and you will understand my obsession.
I fear the distance from God I have brought myself to.
A god with horns, a god with hooves.
It's wrong.

It's most definitely an Autumnal album, mushy season music if you're in the UK.

I like its hidden pagan symbolism and earthy, pastoral feel.

...

it's just some ambient techno calm down dude.

I have like 6 hobbies, this seems like a good way to manage them

geogaddi is more than that.
it's probably the best album ever released.

Well in a beautiful place were tracks they didn't feel fit the Geogaddi vibe, it's not like they released it trying to "warn" anyone about the album. Also what said, I love Geogaddi and BoC as much as the next user but chill

holy fucking shit dude
