i like wires better, but the cover I have is shitty and I'm too lazy to google

Best atmospheric album I could find.

what's the fastest slowcore song?

probably this

The one that got me into slowcore:

I rate this one a 9/10 and I can't understand myself. The playing is basic at best, the whole thing is smothered in reverb and the lead singer sounds like he's trying to outdo Adam Sandler. How is this thing an acclaimed classic? And why do I love it?

not sure, i can't stand it

but slowcore isn't my thing really other than Low and Duster

Duster is really not that great man. Have you tried Love, Claire, Bluetile Lounge or Eric's Trip?

>The playing is basic at best, the whole thing is smothered in reverb and the lead singer sounds like he's trying to outdo Adam Sandler.
You're right, but it still sounds so genuine, and like the band has a real personality that comes through. It's greater than the sum of its parts.

i liked the 40 watt sun released this year a lot

Also one of the noisiest

The guitar tone used throughout the album is very soothing.

link?

Eric's Trip are good but definitely not slowcore.

unless you're saying that they're a really good lofi band, in which case right on my man

they have some borderline slowcore stuff, it's bedroom lo-fi interspersed with some more Garage Indie but I get a slowcore vibe from them. The term is vague as fuck anyways. But yeah, they're great.

>mfw the best slowcore album wasn't even made by a slowcore artist
>mfw my face is a boat

fuck

their new album is gonna be so good

freak folk/slowcore

what is this?

but stratosphere is their worst release ?

"greater than symbol"

...

Some has already been said.

Attic Abasement - Dancing Is Depressing
Bedhead - Transaction De Novo
Bluetile Lounge - Lowercase
Codeine - Barely Real
Duster - Stratosphere
Galaxy 500 - Today
Low - I could live in Hope
Mazzy Star - Among My Swan
The Microphones - The Glow, Pt. 2
The White Birch - Star Is Just A Sun
Yeah Wings - Allen
Yo La Tengo - And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out

Listen to ambient.

This is incredible, thanks friend

Thanks, Wires is really good, reminds me of the more calm Aereogramme songs

Am I the only one who favors this over Frigid Stars?

Also, does Frigid Stars sound influenced by grunge to anyone else?

this guy

but what's the slowcore equivalent of this
