Funny thing is, that I thought Avril was a really refreshing voice to the genre when she first came out. I wasn't even super young or impressionable then. Don't know what she did since then, so can't comment on that. A similar fresh voice was Gwen Stefani, but that went really badly downhill after the first couple of albums. Even tried to listen to the solo stuff but couldn't be bothered. But the biggest fuck you switch was Black Eyed Peas. Behind the Front is an ok album, but holy shit it went bad right after that.
but that album is shit
>It's another band has a solid debut album then sells out and starts making pop music episode
it's common knowledge that "I'm with you" is one of the greatest songs of all TIME
Let Go and Under My Skin are unironically 10/10 patrician albums.
Then she got sucked into the industry, fired her entire band, and started trying to be trendy instead of sticking to her pop punk/post grunge sound.
Then Hello Kitty came out and effectively ended her entire career. She opened for the fucking backstreet boys a few years ago lmao.
This is my honest review and not just because I wanna fugg avril.

her accent is fucking repulsive

the fear is an ok song.

Agreed. Fun, witty pop music. Considering how much people love to spooge over M.I.A. and Arular, I'm surprised Lily Allen isn't brought up more often.
