literally any rap released in america is better than this trash.
death grips and yeezus were attempts at americanizing grime and both got acclaimed as forward-thinking despite being a watered-down copycat of the source material
This is now /Grimes/ general.
what's the difference between Grimes and Grime t b h
>death grips and yeezus were attempts at americanizing grime
lol
youtube.com
one is an average at best genre and the other is western waifu trash
yo she is so ugly
i don't get the hype
>ugly

grime mcs are the worst thing about grime
Stop trying so hard to fit in.
youtube.com
I'm not. Remember jungle?
Why did you jungle die?
>grime mcs are the worst thing about grime
faggot
>Why did you jungle die?
Because Techstep started taking over. MCing has been a thing long, long before Jungle existed and the existance of MCs didn't affect the lifespan of Jungle in any way.
youtube.com
We are getting there.
Why did techstep take over and how does it relate to MCs?
Considering this relation, how does it mirror the situation in grime?
current year obligatory

when will d double e drop the banger we know he's capable of making?
It doesn't, I'm not sure what shit blog you've been reading to get your opinions from.
Grime was explicitly invented for MCing.

>I'm not sure what shit blog you've been reading to get your opinions from
Steve's.
>Grime was explicitly invented for MCing
It wasn't, I'm not sure what shit blog you've been reading to get your opinions from.
Also PulseX happened
And it was one of the best thing that could happen in 00s
It's called Box
God this tune is so awful.
Wonder why Stormin is too scared to show his face while MCing grime
Not him but grime was all about mcs and pirate radio
Everyone was only making tunes for pirate radio and raves so mcs can murder them on set
>It wasn't
I know you are baiting (or you could an American and not know any better) but it literally was. Unlike you I don't read blogs for my musical opinions, this was just what was happening at the time Grime was invented.

Prefered Eskimo desu, not enough people made Eskibeat.
youtube.com
I'd Hyperdub to be a reputable source, desu.
And it really wasn't.
>not enough people made Eskibeat
Sublow was better.
And explicitly not for MCs, unlike Eski.
Wiley describe Eski as a new style of Hip-Hop, a step away from the idea of MCing towards the more album-oriented American style of rap music.
I believe that was in an hyperdub interview from 2004, you should be able to find it.
not a bad song by any means but I still feel he could do more
To this day hearing Pulse X in club is one of the best feels for me
And im just traveling through here, but i never saw a zomby thread in here. He quite deserve one

One of my all time favs and totally forgotten unreleased tune

You aren't selling it lad
Post some grime
>explicitly not for MCs
WHAT?
Hoods up was mcs anthem at raves. Also War, Invade/sion, Spanish and shitloads of others
>it's winter 2004
>you're on the bus with your mates
>everyones nokias have run out of battery
>they look at you with anticipation
>you have your fully charged teardrop in hand
which back of the bus anthem do you play?
fuck off u cunt
speaking of which...

>their faces when i bring da bangers

It's not a bad source by any means, but given that the big Grime DJs and producers when the scene first started would say they made instrumentals for people to MC over supercedes Kode9's view of it.
Also I can't think of anyone who made Sublow outside of Black Ops, and even that had MCing over it from the beginning.
youtube.com
I liked it though, shame it didn't last as long (but then Grime is shit now so maybe it was a good thing).
yea ugly but I didn't know about those hips
as long as she isn't facing me t b h

Like one of the threads when Boy in the corner came out and people posting how no one will remember it in a few months. Same old bars people heard in raves etc.
Reminded me of something
>All of a sudden
Kek.
I thought Slimzee was a Jungle DJ for Rinse as well. Don't know how well known he was at that time though since it was still properly pirate radio back then.
