I never was a Kanye fan but even with him there was a vision and idea he was trying to get across
with Cheef Keef and Clout and all that other garbage it's just a bunch of poor stupid retards using rap songs to shit talk each other.
but because 11 year olds saw guns and were like "epic badass dude" it took off and then Vice and bitchfork began to pick up on it as a "cultural political movement" which only reinforced it.
and of course then came a rise of demand for black artists to just go along with it and rather than focus on music, make everything about identity politics and stopped focusing on the music
