truth is the solitary and unshakable fact of something. truth is unmoving and static. When you say "this music is the best, that's the truth" and other people submit to it, there can be no change or deviation or anything beyond it.


meaning, however, is something that is always growing. it is always up for interpretation and always able to reach new and different heights. But it is not something that is based in truth, rather something that is based in its own internal logic. It is not something entirely subjective as in "well that's just your opinion" because you can use the work to show that it accomplishes well what it needs to accomplish or not. It has its own set of rules that are not definite but contigent.
