No one here thinks we will win this one. When people here get asked that question they either deflect or just say they hope it's a good game.

Our expectations are low.

I think we will lose 3 - 1 but the result will be inflated

this game is an after thought, France vs Germany was the final. Portugal should've been eliminated in the group stages and they will get fucking exposed in front of all of Europe.

The only thing that will get exposed is that we're a good team that should be in the Semi-Finals at least even though I don't think we will win

Well, you know, Warriors vs Thunder was supposed to be the true finals too. Overconfidence is never a good idea in sport.

First for Oui vs. Tsu. (I'm siding with Oui, btw)

I have a VERY good feeling about this...

Our team is pretty good but you have to admit we had huge luck in this tournament

We had the easiest way possible to the semi-finals, and now we're facing fucking Portugal for the finals

Not to mention the referee was in our pocket against Germany, Boateng injured during match, very lucky penalty

What a boring tourney. Copa America was better and had better memes.

Even though that's true a real Frenchman would never admit it.

Proxy off, Nigel

who /drinking/ here
>captcha: a picture of the Eiffel Tower

Euro had the memest of memes, though.

Admittedly it has been a boring tournament, seemingly every Copa America game was a massive blowout.

This final better not got 120 mins + pens, I'd be so mad.

I am actually French

Watch the game, Boateng's injury is when the match flipped in our favor during the second period, i thank God (or mafiosos ?) for this

Who thinks Pepe's gonna chimp out tomorrow ?

Tomorrows game will be TSUUUUUUUUUOUIIIIIIIIIIIIT to watch

>Joe Hart's Greatest Hits.webm

I don't know who I want to lose most.

>Chimps out 25 seconds into the match

️ EURO GOALS-PER-GAME ️

Euro 2000: 2.74 goals-per-game
Euro 2004: 2.48
Euro 2008: 2.48
Euro 2012: 2.45
Euro 2016: 2.14

Remember when this tournament was worth watching?

>Toning down our achievements in case we fuck up
Every time.

Yeah we paid for Boateng to injure himself.

Tu m'as l'air sacrément con toi.

Here you go

the only interesting thing was chile beating argentina.
The rest wa all quite predictable.
or are you one of those who thinks goals=fun?
the euro was much more fun. Almost all expectations have been proen wrong.
There were no certainties and any team could have gone on.You never knew how a match would end till the very end, sometimes even after.

It was a pretty hype tournament.

neva forget, neva forgive

>triggered

C'était de l'humour poto, t'as l'air d'être un sacré beauf toi

lol so cool that two shit teams were able to get so far.
This only shows how the level of football is dropping, you can thank Spain for that.

it could be fun if it was accurate, but your lack of skills desperate me

We told you that isn't the 1998 team fuckwad

no, but you were lucky. And the same happened with us after gomez was injured.
Of course we had our problem with injured players too.
The point is you had a bit of luck and didn't actually face the strongest teams, you faced a weaker germany for instance.
Portugal is tough and has its full team. It could go any way.

there generation is in its fall, like a certain south american team too.

Tomorrow night you'll cry son of a bitch

so it's thanks 7o spa1n too tha7 braz1l football has turned 7o sh1t too?

Poster for the Final match

the french will choke under the pressure, just give us the cup already

>7-1

a 7-1 would be the memest thing ever to happen, with penaldo scoring the only portugal goal and unironically celebrating it.

What part of the French Empire are you guys from?

Don't you worry about us, we were able to win so many times depending only in the talent of our players without any actual investment in the sport.
We shall comeback, we are Huenix

implying we used to choke at home, kek

Paris

I thought Napoleon never managed to invade Portugal?

Calm down Jean-Jacques Jaekwon

We imported their parents for work, these guys were born here (or in a few case came before they could learn how to talk).

Fact is it's other national teams that lack the population and infrastructure which are importing B or C-listers from France (Portugal has some of those, but the most blatant example of the kind is Algeria (which is filled to the brim with French nationals, very often former players in the youth NT). Blame FIFA and their retarded rule set.

He didn't manage to conquer.

You can't conquer a country with millions of people with a couple thousand soldiers if the local population aren't willing to submit and surrender. For example the largest French operation in Portugal was the distribution of anti-British propaganda in our cities in the hope we would settle down.

He only managed to really conquer the Tagus line and the faggots in Lisbon.

He never did. His army broke through as far as it could, then got demolished when it met actual opposition.

Portugal is literally a wasteland until you reach the coast.

>no, but you were lucky.
A lot of people say we were "lucky" and so on because Germany stacked injuries.

But the fact is, if they had so many injuries and couldn't make it through with their bench while we didn't have a single one, it means that they were strategically inferior. A competition isn't something you just play game to game. You have to plan for all of it if you plan to take it home.

Lmao, stop believing portuguese posters on Sup Forums
He (well, one of of most obscure generals actually, he wouldnt bother himself) conquered it in 11 days

>Threatened by a humiliating ultimatum from Napoleon, the Portuguese government acceded to most of the demands of the French emperor. Nevertheless, Napoleon ordered Junot to commence the invasion, with the cooperation of three divisions from the Kingdom of Spain.

>Paralyzed by fear and indecision, the Portuguese authorities offered no resistance. Junot occupied Lisbon on 30 November 1807 to find that John and many of the leading families had left for Brazil aboard the Portuguese fleet.

>The French quickly occupied the entire country and appropriated or disbanded the Portuguese army. The following year saw the Portuguese revolt against their occupiers.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invasion_of_Portugal_(1807)

Brits liberated it a year later but it still got invaded
Not to mention we invaded it again in 1811

There is native french, and there is actual native french

all of your royalty runned to Brazil, pretty pathetic sen-pai

>wikipedia

Portuguese Royal Family went to Brazil because of Napoleon invasion

>invade thrice
>fail thrice

still looks like a failed campaign to me m8

Be careful!
Germany defeated the hosts!
I say this as a portuguese man who very proudly wants France to win cuz otherwise all shitposting on Sup Forums will be transfered to the streets of Portugal.

Yeah, your feelings are more reliable
Deluded monkey...
What is it with irrelevant countries and delusion?

And how many times did you invade France, amigo ?

>proud of being liberated by Brits a year later

It's like if us French were smug about Germany invading us in WW2 because in the end Amerifats kicked them out...

Tours

that's not the point I was trying to make.
The point is that you can't use your result against that germany to determine how strong you are compared to portugal.

We invaded North Africa, 2 times.

theyre invading it right now Pierre

You're an imbecile for saying that but I won't bother telling you why. Keep thinking that my favelado friend.

Yeah, what the fuck's up with france thinking they're bigshots when they never amounted to anything?

We had many successful campaigns in africa my man.

They also changed the capital of YOUR empire, to Brasil.
How is this not cuckery?

ayyy

How is brazil being so cucked it becomes the capital of a foreign country any of our concern?

oh shit
quoted wrong guy
meant for bonus to

I support France because they've won 5/6 of their games in regular time, as opposed to 1/6 for Portugal.

I support France because they are the highest scoring team in the tournament, and have conceded less than Portugal.

I support France because they easily smashed Iceland, putting 4 past them in one half, whereas Portugal couldn't even beat them.

I support France because they actually topped their group with 7/9 points, whereas Portugal came second-to-last with 3/9 points.

I support France because they faced the best team in the world and beat them, as opposed to Portugal who faced only "dark horses" which they barely beat.

ITT:cringe historical discussion

Based netherland bro speaking the truth

Nice

Your flag is sideways dude.

It was still the Kingdom of Portugal.

>The point is that you can't use your result against that germany to determine how strong you are compared to portugal.
I agree, and I don't think Portugal will be as easy as some are trying to make it. They know how to play a cagy game.

But the opposite point is true as well : while France isn't a steamroller, it's certainly not as weak as people seemed to think at the beginning of the tournament and it's been allowed to shape up as it went on while keeping strength in reserve so as to always be fresh enough for the next game. I think it'd be a pretty grave mistake to assume France and Portugal just stumbled their way to the finals.

You support the French because you don't like us.

I thought you northern euros prided yourselves on honesty and being frontal with people.

They sent their hordes of maids.

But Portugal is gray in the map... Do you even know where Portugal is?

There is a clear blue line due to this

>best team in the world

Minus a striker, and starting defensive mid and starting centre half, and then lost their other centre half early in the second half.

Not that I think the penalty was wrong but they lucked out a lot.

Nice, here have a cutie.

is ronaldo even in physical condition to play a match?

he is walking on the pitch

The fact of the matter is that Portugal faced an uphill battle from the group stage all the way to the finals, facing the toughest most unpredictable opponents that have been seen in an european cup in over two decades. All france had to do was beat a bunch of overrated teams with the home team advantage and the referees in their pockets.

But everyone is already aware of this.

The french are angry. They thought they'd face one of the less capable teams in the other side of the bracket. Instead, they have to deal with the best player in the world and his entourage of elite professional players. The french are mad. The french are angry. They're angry because they fear the Portuguese.

>they have to deal with the best player in the world and his entourage of elite professional players

Delusional portugese is really saddening to read, you are by far the best team we could face to win the title

Thank you for the easy win amigo

You should calm down and let the realization that tomorrow you have a 51/49 chance of losing the final. You're the underdog in your own country. Don't shun humility, as it is a virtue.

Nada! NADA CARALHO!

>best player in the world
