Is THAT what the sample that comes in in the second half of Bros is saying? I can never figure it out; I've listened to Person Pitch hundreds of times. Does anyone know for sure?

sure if that's the only sample based album you've listened to
t. someone who's too scared to post rivaling samples and should do so if they know so fucking much about sample based music

the sound you hear at the beginning is made up of multiple layered samples
I've always heard it as "And I tell myself, I'm holding you up." Interesting the way that it can be perceived as something so different
its not even the best sample on the album either my vote would go to the choir sample in im not

Edwin Birdsong – Cola Bottle Baby > Daft Punk – Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
thank u user u truly delivered
i just think that the Bros sample is really unique in how he took an existing verse, muddled it with reverb, and used it as the hook for his song wich already has an amazing melody and how perfectly the samples releases into these descending vocal harmonies. Just the idea of using a verse from another song made unintelligible as your hook for your song
The fucking hook at :56 though
Maybe more an example of great turntablism than sampling but it's still nuts

yeah i think it's a really good sample too, but saying it's the best is a hot take. my person favorite is the midnight in a perfect world one, gives me chills every time.
