Aesop Rock with A$AP Rocky

When I was kid I used to confuse John Lennon with Elton John

>Steely Dan

Speaking of Steely Dan: where do you begin when you want to check out his music? And I'm not a "casual listener", either, I like to listen to full albums and get the feel of the music like a lot of people here. I just think of his hits and it turns me away from him.

Any suggestions?

Tangentially related:

I used to think Eddie Izzard was a famous guitarist. I haven't the slightest idea how I ended up thinking that - it must've been that I heard a similar name or something. Thought that for years before finding out he was a comedian, as I never cared to look into it.
