He's overrated for a good cause at least (getting chinks to listen to classical music.)
Jason Lopez
for me it's Rubinstein. I can't stand his Chopin.
Zachary Sullivan
Horowitz has one of the GOAT recordings of Liszt's B minor sonata though.

Total pleb here, just wondering.
How does centuries old classical music work in the copyright world? Does each performer of the public domain music have copyright over his own recording?
Daniel Robinson
Whichever record label recorded it owns the performance, like Deutsche Grammaphon for example. But the performer can hold concerts playing the same music without giving a dime to DG. If the composer is still alive I think they get a cut.

I agree, but his Art of Fugue and WTC are still 10/10.
He died horribly and pianfully cause of a eye surgery infenction.
>tfw the divine Bach died in pain with fucked up eyes
Wagner for opera, Brahms for everything else.
Lang Lang and Kisin are the ultimate overrated pianist. Perfect technique accompanied by the most boring interpretation possible, no matter what they are playing.
