MODS ARE FUCKERS
KILL ALL PORKY SCUM

How's your first week treating you?
You're pretty edgy, but I think I like you.

>pakistani pomade

You might like Evan Parker with Birds, its not available on any streaming service I know of, but theres a blog called jazznotjazz that has it for free download

Friendly reminder that if your chart contains any of these albums, your admittance into the GrimesCuckhold will be unlikely. :^)
Appreciate it. I've been looking to expand my knowledge of European free jazz; atonality tickles my fancy.

>another tripcuck thinking he is important

Ive been getting into Euro freejazz lately too. John Tchicai with Strings is one of the best I've found (also on jazznotjazz). Mats Gustafssons band Fire! is really good too, and I recently found a really good solo Brotzmann album. I think its called Brotzmann/Solo and its cover is yellow with a boat on it

Need 50s and 60s recs

Thanks for Ghoul. The other two are great.
Been meaning to Fire! and more of Brotzmann's stuff (I love Machine Gun). Never heard of Tchicai, but it looks like he played with some legends in the New York Eye and Ear Control soundtrack. I'll have to get around to that. Got an RYM?
:^)

You liked Stems And Cages once. Did you ever listen to Mural's Nectars Of Emergence? Another really good improv album with that nice organic "nature taking over" feel.

If you want some more rawk you could check out Shudder To Think's Get Your Goat, supposedly underrated post-hardcore (!?)

You got some good ones on here and that top four makes me want you to give you this:

Trondheim Jazz Orchestra & Kim Myhr – Stems And Cages

In a way a combination of all four. Droning and sprawling free improvisation goodness. One of my favorite albums. Hope you like it.

Blo – Chapter One
Peter Green – The End Of The Game
Amon Düül – Psychedelic Underground
In Mourning – Monolith

You the man duggo, will check both of em out sometime tomorrow, promise, just for you.

Coolio. Get Your Goat is a Scruffy 7 btw, so should be solid.

thanks for recs

>Peter Green – The End Of The Game

just downloaded this one yesterday. the first track is pretty wicked

2 pieces of album art aren't in the database...probably because of how they're labeled on my phone....oh well...

You're welcome. Nice, I feared you would have heard it already with that Fleetwood Mac album in your top ten. Hope you like the rest.

I know I'm very entry level, go easy boys.

You're always very irritable over me being here. I feel like as soon as you come to terms with the fact that I'm here to stay, you'll enjoy yourself more.
I've always been meaning to. Thanks.
>he fell for it
The sound they're going for only works on paper.
I still love you though, Brian.
>Braindance - Redemption

>It's p4k approved so you'll like it
Since when am I a p4k drone?
>A Love Supreme is great you fuck
Haha "no."
Any time.
Thanks, dug.
I gotta say, I was disappointed with Melt. As much as I love Chippendale as a guitarist, I feel like there's a reason distorted guitars aren't used in most free improv. The album felt pretty cluttered and didn't really have an atmosphere to it that I look for. Appreciate it though.

Hi kiddos, wassup

...

Chippendale plays drums though. All the distorted sounds are from Pupillo's bass and Gustafsson's noise setup. My only real problem is that Gustafsson gets caught up in said noise setup; I would have liked more saxophone. I think the album is a lot of fun though.

>The album felt pretty cluttered and didn't really have an atmosphere to it that I look for.
It's free improvisation; there's going to some kind of messy, disjointed clutter. I like it that way. It's basically a more drawn out Lightning Bolt with Gustafsson's sax. Dream come true for me. What atmosphere do you look for?

>Chippendale plays drums though.
>pic related
I'm so new to Lightning Bolt, I got their members confused. Heck.
>It's free improvisation; there's going to some kind of messy, disjointed clutter.
Well, of course, I expected that going into it. It just felt like more of a brick wall of sound that I couldn't pick through to really hone in on what each instrument was doing. And dynamics in each track were basically non-existent; you can't just play fortissimo for a 40 minute track and expect people to not get bored. It's impressive, sure, but then that just makes it wank.
>What atmosphere do you look for?
Sparse, eerie, foreboding atmosphere that builds and falls in tension.

clarence clarity - no now

animal collective - spirit they're gone spirit they vanished

Sure m8

talons' - Work Stories
Dodmen - Azimuth
The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Methodrone

Even Oxen - Arrayed Above the Seraphim Lights

I hope you didn't go through the effort to make this by hand

underrated beck album
The Bug - Angels & Devils
Cul de Sac - China Gate
The Feelies - Crazy Rhythms

Morgan Delt - s/t
King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard - Paper Mâché Dream Balloon

A couple of people in here have the new clipping album on their charts already, is it that good?

also

Atta boy.
It's aight.

Ah, no worries. The guitar dude in Lightning Bolt could really be anyone, the real personality is Chippendale. He got his own sound going. It's why he can do stuff like this.

I think there's a good amount of dynamics. Wouldn't say it's brick walled at all. Just look at middle part of the second track. Chippendale's high tuned drums cut nicely through the murky soundscapes of Pupillo while Gustafsson is adding another layer on top with his saxophone while also participating in making the murky soundscape bigger. Maybe I am just too fascinated by Chippendale's drumming as a drummer and too in love with Gustafsson's sax. I can see how it can be a bit too much though.

>Sparse, eerie, foreboding atmosphere that builds and falls in tension.
You'll like The Topography Of The Lungs more then.

Maybe check these out as well:
Koboku Senjû – Selektiv Hogst
Angharad Davies, Tisha Mukarji – Endspace
Dans Les Arbres – Dans Les Arbres

I mean the album has filler but many of the tracks have absolutely stellar sampling and production, for example the 8-bit samples and drum samples in Jimmybreeze are genius imo. The interaction of their schizophrenic deliveries and the ambient beats amount to something really really fascinating, at least to me.

Hey, for sure. To each his own, y'know?
>You'll like The Topography Of The Lungs more then.
Listening rn. Yeah, I dig this.
>Maybe check these out as well
Will do. Thanks, dug.

The end is nigh. The world has begun to end and Sup Forums will become the final haven of peace, ruled by an autocrat with little concern for the well-being of anybody outside his rule.

>ELP s/t over something objectively worse in their discog
Got me to reply/10 I guess

Damn...

Timbre - Sun & Moon

Soul Coughing - Ruby Vroom

Skylarking is the essential Psych Pop album

That Acid Mothers Temple album a good place to start with them? their discog looks confusing as hell to try and get into.

Then change the album names on your phone?
David Axelrod - Song of Innocence (Day at the Races samples the first track off of it)

Beautiful.

youtu.be/AnW4sqjj9fc

Tarkus and Brain Salad are great. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Oh, it is fascinating, I can agree. I just don't find it to be much to listen to.

A pretty cool guy

Brain Salad Surgery is good, but Tarkus falls apart on some of the side 2 songs. I don't think Greg Lake learned how to write more humorous songs until the next 2 albums.

The Tarkus track is literally a 10 and I don't actually dislike the Tarkus b-side like everyone else seems to.

>rym
I don't, I got spotify and lastfm though

if i skipped over you today, you know why
