OP, you can get a kid without having to trick a woman. OR a custody battle. It's not hard either.
Go to a foreign country, and get a surrogate mother to have a child for you. It could be cheap to do, and the child would be yours alone to love and raise without having to deal with a mother wanting to ruin your life (and being able to with the help of the US legal system).

His life, 'happiness,' hobbies, etc are all given up in exchange for taking care of some sack of human fat, blood, bone, and shit, which will just grow up to be a slightly larger sack of fat, blood, bone, and shit.

You can have it prescribed to you by a textbook, and you can't infer it from the scale of the universe relative to the size and longevity of a human being.
