Regarding previous thread's question about Kramer stuff, I have mixed feels. Their designs are good in terms of playability and comfort. Appearance is too much on the side of edgy metal kind thing. Usually good components. Often poor setup/construction because they use Indonesia factory.
I'm the guy who bought the Kramer bass on steep discount last month. There's something to this bass. It is very comfortable to play and, I dunno if this is because this is the first bass I have had with an EMG pickup, but sound wise it fills a niche that my Fender bass doesn't quite. EMG pickups are very clear (played clean) with very little of the traditional mud you get when bass notes are allowed to play together. To that end I thought it might sound good with flatwounds and it does, in fact sounds significantly better with flats than rounds.
This isn't the kind of bass I would ordinarily buy. Only went for it because of how cheap it was on black Friday sale. I think in future I will replace plastic nut with a graph tech and do some experimentation on bridge saddle material. I am really curious how it would sound with rosewood saddles (those are typically only used on retro style semi hollows).
I've always wondered if all his ranting about string tension has any basis in reality. Not really interested in giving him money to find out though.

American strats have better pickups and electronics in general, though some particular low end American models have extremely bad electronics and are absolute lemons.
Its like the difference between a 500 epiphone LP and a 1500 Gibson LP...very little The difference is mostly markup price just for the brand when that. Epi is about 80-90% as good as the Gibson.

I read that scoliosis happens because of adaptation and if you use a shoe pad it might make your body adapt in a way that is even worse
