No Lionel, sorry.

>both teams have 90 minutes to win(with 30 extra in some cases)

it is fair, you only have to put the ball in the fucking net

larger sample size at least

snipers

After regulation another ball is put on the field every minute. First to score wins

Hockey-style penalty shots with one attacker vs one defender and the goalkeeper

by completely removing them

and the match clock should start running only after either team scores 1 goal

this

every single player should take a penalty

Everyone leaves the pitch except the keepers who play 1 on 1 until one scores

this is some public school shit right there.

Remove the goalkeepers

Murderball

Knife fights until last man stands

>fair
penalties are fair
knowing how to score a penalty is a skill too
I remember Mendieta de Valencia player I don't think he ever missed one
Totti too

The reason we have penalties is because no one has come up with a better solution

>Its been 3 hours now and neither team scored
>some players are already collapsing of exhaustion

But think about all the distance they would cover! Egghand would never recover

Continue to play until someone scores.

The first 30 minutes of extra time are as they currently are. After that, it's golden goal.
Every 45 minutes, teams get an extra sub.

>b-but players will be exhausted.
Knowing they will not get a break after 30 more minutes will mean they won't just sit back and wait for a shootout. They will continue to press and actually TRY to score instead of trying their luck in a shootout.

Combine these two. After 90 minutes one player from each team is sent off. Every 5 minutes after that another player must be sent off until it gets down to a one on one. As the field opens up and structure breaks down, scoring chances will arise.

baseball bats come into play after 120 minutes

After the match ends the teams go on a corner kick round robin and whoever scores first wins. Have it so that if the ball is kicked off the field/beyond the center circle to the opposite end/goalie catches the ball the teams must switch.

What do you propose Lionel?
Flip a coin?

i dont wanna see pepe vomiting again

Pit the captains against each other in a fight to the death.

2x15min of extra time, and if it's still a tie golden goal kicks in.

30 more minutes with 8 players each team and they have to play in half of the field until one of them score.

Or just flip a coin.

After each minute of extra time the goals get about 5 cm bigger on each side.

golden goal with unlimited subs

Problem solved.

Athletics is brutal
When I trained, I'd almost pass out after those 100mx10 circuit training

Put all the bench in during extra time.

give everyone a crossbow and turn the pitch into hunger games arena

Remove the goalkeepers, first side to score wins.

Actually forget it, this would make parking the bus way too easy.

After each minute in ET if you don't have a shot on target you lose one player until it's 1 vs 1.

There isnt a defender in a hockey oenalty shot.

...

i agree but minus the half field

15min with 8 men
15min with 5 men
If still no goal the winner is whoever presents UEFA the biggest check

stealing this pepe, sorry

USA USA USA USA

If no goals are scored during extra time the first and second places go to the third and fourth and the ones playing the final share the third place.
If the semis end up in a tie as well then no team is presented with the cup and the last winner gets to keep it for another year.

MLS used to do this when it was first formed and it was fucking fantastic.

youtu.be/4LXiRCCB68E

Imagine this shit with actually good players. No excuses about luck anymore, all based on pure skill.

aet for golden goal
if nothing happens, 1 round of penultis to decide the ball possesion
they keep playing until a goal is scored but gk's cant use their hands anymore

Repeat the game another day. It's the only truly fair way.

televoting decides the winner

also 2 more subs allowed in aet and 1 in the final stage

countrywide referendum to decide the winner

So, you guys doesn't remember?

youtu.be/4LXiRCCB68E

Do corner shootouts instead of penalty shootouts.

russian roulette

Country wide referendum to decide the winner

turn off the lights and let them keep playing until someone scores

anyone with the name lionel gets the goalkeeper from their own team in goal...

make it that if the game ends tied both teams are disqualified
stop being a pussy and try to score a fucking goal

take turns doing corner kicks and give each team 30 second to score from the kick? Could be neat.

3 vs. 3 sudden death

after 90 minutes each coach gets a sniper rifle and every minute they can take a shot against the players of the other team

>Portugal having to bring 66 players, 11 for each game they drew

Penalties but instead of scoring you have to hit the goalie

MULTI-BALL MADNESS

Underrated post.

USA wins

Each team have to choose two of their players and then compete in a game like the video.

After the 90 mins, extra time as usual, but after every five minutes each team loses an outfield player of the respective managers choosing. When the 30 mins of ET are up, and both teams are down to 5 outfield players Managers can chose to substitute any or all of the players and an extra 15 mins are played of golden goal football,. If it's STILL level, a penalty scenario is used where one team has a keeper and two defenders and the other has two attackers. Sudden death rules

Alright what about this?
2 simultaneous shootouts with one striker vs one defender plus a goalkeeper.

At the same time the ref blows the whistle and the two strikers start going toward the opposite goals.
Each time a team scores or the ball goes out of play that team's ball is reset back to the beginning.

Then it's a best of three. The team that gets to 2 goals first wins.

1v1 wrestling

Do you really want he football equivalent of the longest tennis match ever, every other match?

Just switch the penalty shootout to before extra time. Whoever wins the penalties gets a 1-0 lead going into ET, meaning the other team has a disadvantage but still has a chance to actually play to win

Replace pens with a game of kickball.

it's like I'm back in the 90s

Normal extra time. After 30 minutes take a player off on both sides every 5 minutes, golden goal.

>implying somebody won't score when there are two balls on the field

it would be nearly impossible to play multiball for 30 minutes and not have somebody score.

After regular extra time each team drops a player and the teams play one ten minute game, switching at the 5 minute mark. The extra period would be 10v10 (or less if reds were issued). If they don't score in that 10 minute period the process is continued to 9v9 and so on until someone scores. At some point exhaustion will take over and when it's 8v8 or 7v7 there will be a lot of open field to exploit. In some random smaller league games we could even get some crazy 3v3 bullshit.

I chuckled

Infinite extra time until someone scores (could be after the 120 minutes are over) ;^)

Each team picks two from their team. The two chosen from each team get to the middle.

The teammates must make each other both cum as quickly as possible. Fastest team to both cum will win the game.

This has the strategy, team game, and skill that penalties miss out on while not losing the tense pressure.

Shoot outs like hockey

Fun fact:
The MLS, on its inaugural year, had shoot outs instead of penalties.
The goal was 1 foot bigger than normal, intended for more goals and a more excitement, yet still boring because c'mon it's soccer.
They had 1 time out only to be used at the last 10 minutes of each half, this was to deter diving, the Spanshit league is a prime example of diving ballerinas

In other words, except for the time outs, we've tried to save soccer from the it's age old problem of boredom since the 90s

The more you know ~~~*

crossbar challenge>>>>>>>>>>>penalties

...

its fair enough autists

With a 2nd match to be played on the day after. And another, and another...until someone wins the game in 90 minutes.
I'm sure tv networks love this idea.

Do like hockey & have it be seven on seven after regulation.

Top fucking kek.

That is pretty stupid

After minute 90', goalkeepers lose their right to use hands, they just become another player. Open goals for half an hour.

I'm not kidding.

> medel, vidal and aranguiz

¿enserio quieres una pelea a navajas contra el puto medel?

>players being sent off

Including the keepers? Are they to be the last two on the field?

I like it

half and hour is excessive though. maybe 15 or 20 minutes

This wall needs to be updated, the shame no longer lies with Croatia.

move the PK back to the outside box so it's not decided by which goalie guesses right the most times

I just suggested 30' because of the current standard, but it could be changed. Although 30 minutes would ensure several goals, enough to lift up the soccerness.

BTW American "Football" was indeed invented by silly tweaking of rugby football rules, we need to push this to FIFA.

Same rules a playoff hockey

This would be so much better. Based entirely on skill instead of luck, and still just as high pressure.

>objective of the game is to kick the ball in the net
>penalties literally embody kicking a ball in to the net, and stress the importance of a good keeper
>its not fair!
Go to bed messi

Querido.

No penalties
No substitutions
First team to score wins
