Why does the world care more about Ronaldo than Andy Murray winning Wimbledon?

Why does the world care more about Ronaldo than Andy Murray winning Wimbledon?

Because football is more popular than tennis?

It's the opposite, it's only the US that doesn't care about football because you guys suck at it

Football is the world's biggest sport so understandably the media focuses more on the Portuguese victory.

because tennis is shit and no one cares about EBAM

>'s only the US that doesn't care about football because you guys suck at it>>

That's why our National Football League made $9.5 billion last year...

white guilt

I'm happy Murray won but:

a) Football is a bigger sport than tennis and
b) Ronaldo is a much bigger star than Murray

The only way Wimbledon could have been bigger news than the Euros is if Federer had won Wimby and the Germans had won the Euros. Because people love Federer and don't care about Germany.

>the US suck so much at football to the point they changed the name of a worldwide sport so they can feel better about winning at football

>Tennis
>relevant or interesting
It's baseball tier

Because Murray is a depressed jock with the exact charisma of a brick wall

>England's Brave

Serena made the news here. Murray not.

He said football, not advertball

b/c murray didn't face djokovic/nadal/federer in the tournament

Because he won it already?

pretty much this, even his reaction after the match was very subdued, almost like he knows it's a "ya, but...." win

What the fuck is football? Is it like soccer?

That might explain why there's less interest, but it doesn't mean it was a "ya, but..." win. Raonic is a very good player.

Because tennis isn't an sport.

Because tennis is a gigantic circlejerk of rich people who pretend they play sports, same for golf and cricket.

Because Federer should have won it and now tennis is dead as dead.

Seriously, fuck tennis at this point.

why the butthurt
i like federer too
but he's an old man now

nobody cares about/likes murray

No. Tennis is about ASS.

he is, but winning a slam in the current year without beating fed, novak or rafa is the definition of a "ya, but..."
