Ok jazz and blues I agree
I guess I just prefer the rock music that was inspired by the 50s stuff on a personal taste level
I definitely respect that music tho, just not my thing

I listen to a lot of classical and big band music earlier than this as well, but I wouldn't have a clue as to when they were recorded.

Friendly reminder that anybody who puts 60s or 70s at the top does not actually have their own musical opinion and fell for the pre-internet magazine gaslighting back in the bad old days when boomers (who were aged 10-25 in the 1960s) had a monopoly on music publication outlets.

Sadly, their media victory and gaslighting was so complete that it permeates to RIGHT NOW, on the Vietnamese Candyland board that is supposedly supposed to question and overturn narratives ruthlessly. The earliest permissible "best decade" is the 1980s or you have been gaslit by Rolling Stone types.

Best tastes so far except I like 50's and 40's, 60's should be lower

1969-1975 was a pretty great time for prog. We had bands like Comus, Can, Faust, and Henry Cow, and even more mainstream bands like Yes, King Crimsons, and Pink Floyd releasing great stuff every year. The eighties sound had potential but only a few bands got the best out of it for some reason.
