this thread is dedicated to discussion of anything punk rock including any offshoots(hardcore punk, crust punk, pop punk, etc) >recommendations >general discussion >underground/ scene discussion
what days do you think we should have theses threads on? also we should work on a compilation of the best bands for people interested in getting into punk but don't know where to start
I'm a part of what some people call the "alt-right" and it feels punk as fuck. It feels like an actual counter culture, or rebellion against the PC culture that dominates American colleges.
Brayden Flores
fuck off nazi punk
Nathan Smith

why are nazis consistently so fucking disgusting
Tyler Mitchell
Oh, yes, I love that album.
AND OH, HEY, WELL OKAY AREN'T YOU GONNA ASK ME WHAT I DID TODAY?
Reminded me I should get some Yacopsae. Thanks, man.
Pic related. What I have been digging lately. I've been an Alexisonfire fan for years but every six months or so I get on a total Alexisonfire binge. I find it very unjust how underappreciated they are: if they were more underground this album would be hailed as a post-hc masterpiece.

The only Punk music I seem to enjoy is crossover/Metal Punk. Bands like Cro Mags, Discharge, Amebix, Flipper and Black Flag. I also am into more technical Post hardcore bands like NoMeansNo. I don't care for stuff like Minor Threat, Dead Kennedys. If anyone has some recs for me, I would greatly appreciate it. Don't feel the need to limit yourself to lesser known bands because I have an extremely surface level knowledge of Punk.
What's some punk that supports drug use, violence etc? I need some edgy shit.
Blake Turner
holy shit
Jackson Green
>drug use Crust >violence Hardcore
Jason Green
that's more like post-rock
if we're heading down that road, we might as well call This Heat punk
Jack Smith
what's some punk that supports incest and fucking trannies
Brody Harris

i've been meaning to get around to listening
Isaiah Cook
they're both basically post punk, just with a lot more experimentation and genre mixing than bands like gang of four or joy division
Jordan Wright
>incest Ur >fucking trannies Mum
Oliver Gonzalez
Any bands you'd recommend?GLOSS talks about trans stuff
Ryan Evans
yeah maybe you're right still, I've got to admit I discovered Pop Group through scaruffi and I dug it right away sounds schizo as fuck
Easton Brown
I'd love to find more modern bands that are like a continuation of Zen Arcade: high-energy drumming and vocals, jazz-influenced harmonies, layers of guitar/bass tones and effects, lyrics that are more mature in that they cast off melodrama/emotional-extremes and instead embrace wonder/questioning/balance.
Sure, it might not be "punk", but I'm sure it would fit somewhere in the post-punk realm.
Gimme some fuckin bangers tho pls senpai. None of that boring ass moderate tempo Pink Flag shit. 200-300bpm is ideal. Idk. I just like the energy.
