>pushing students to their limit to get the absolute best out of them
>bad thing
Spotted the faggot who never played sports

Drummer wasn't on his tempo

He is a good teacher , music learning should be like going to army

it was the highest level of the best music school in the country

tryhard or gtfo

he bullied one student to death.

How is throw chairs and slapping students supposed to get the best out of them?

>push them to their limit to be the absolute best
>turns out "the best" is playing background music at a shitty jazz bar.

it's funny because you don't seem to realize that the movie was mocking people like you

He was a weak faggot.

I wasn't being ironic desu

Whiplash is top 5 redditcore. Get this shit out of here.

Fear works better than coddling them like children.

If someone treated you like that you would break down crying, don't act tough on the internet

What about the end? That was clearly a chance to go onto bigger and better things

problem? all he was trying to do was run a paper and reveal the truth about that web shooting bastard. He didn't compromise the journalistic integrity just to support some crazed vigilante

...

If you didn't notice

>This rises to a hilarious peak in the concert scenes; the fact that the camera is locked on the two men conceals the fact that these massive venues are almost entirely empty

Whiplash is 100% a satire.

he was a god damn nazi fuck

>projecting what you would do onto others
fuck off, spineless faggot. Grow some balls and then maybe, just maybe, you won't be a little bitch anymore.

Is that you and your friend? How is this relevant?

I agree with everything but the fact that you called it a "satire".

It's more of a look into obsession, and one aspect of obsession is how sometimes what you dedicate your life to doesn't matter to the majority of people. It's made clearer by Simmons at the jazz bar, the break-up, and the dinner scene.

No one cares about jazz anymore, but Simmons and Teller do, and they're willing to fly way too close to the sun with wings made out of cheap wax and pigeon feathers to achieve whatever it is they want to achieve.

not if he winds up injuring them and they can't play anymore.
