RETURNING ALL FEEDBACK ON SOUNDCLOUD
ok this was amazingly fucking chill. dont have much to say. rec
wasnt feeling the vocal at like just the start, but I actually got really really into this I must say. Some of it reminds me of the 90s guys that are coming back strong this year i.e. ATCQ, but also with some modern shit flowing through. nice
ive enjoyed this in the past. groovy. rec.
What remains is gorgeously chill, good job. also listened to LX103, going to have to come back to this stuff later. really smooth.
oh man that just hits so fucking hard and nice. rec
prisma is always a rec x

im tired but i will do a few more before i hit bed
This bounces and grooves so nice. very chill beat. a few more fills here and there wouldnt go a miss but whatev. rec :)
Really lovely driving indie rock track. I dig the almost shoegaze vibe to the vocal. rec
midnight is a goddam banger. Angel too, no feedback like, you seem to know your sound man, really like it!
myself
Very chill. Great sampling and mixing. Rec this for a long lone night of studying
I like the slower delivery at first. Very reminiscent of late 80's east coast style. I also really respect the self awareness of your track at the intro. 'Just do you and you will be fine'
Recc
Always digging what you do. I really enjoyed LX103. Your sampling is really nice
I love the guitar in this, But The bass drum feels as though it is clipping in this. I like how hard it hits though. Nice track
I really like Dead Battery Company. What did you sample to make this track? something sounds familiar in it
I always love what you put out. The portamento on the lead synth had me hooked right away. Great mixing. Recc
the choice of synths on this is very reminiscent of Plastic Beach or Demon Days, and I love it. Great mixing, everything sits great in the mix
delivery isn't bad. Great dictation is important and you seem to have it down. Nice man
I love the guitar on this. I get a vibe of early Wild Nothing. I love the vocals on this too. Recc hard
I really love the dooming feel of Midnight. Great mixing and feeling. I love this track. Recc
Not bad sampling, but everything seems to be either clashing or is too compressed. I like the aesthetic of it though
Not my cup of tea, but great mixing. You have a great chiptune sound in the synths

>droney sample based folk and post rock

huh, bedroom noise... never really heard of that besides maybe Wolf Eyes r Dead c... listening to Drony Outro, I think there's some more stuff you could do in the background (vary the sample, idk) n just change up ur rhythms and whatnot to make something that seems more dynamic, because your soundscape is actually p good
listening to Brown Recluse Spider, the instruments sound nice if a bit shallow (that phaser really doesn't do it for me and the drums sound a bit thin) but the big thing turning me off from liking this more is the vocals, that go monotone but not deadpan- try to vary with shouts, higher register vocals, etc., unless you're specifically goin for that Natalie Rose Lebrecht sorta thing.
was about the comment the other day that I liked ur stuff and all that needs work is that the drums feel a bit dry n need to be more cohesive with your instruments via... bitcrushing maybe idk?
good stuff tho

super chill samples man, really good shit. rec
not really my style of rap but good flow and delivery. I'd like the beat more if you used a different hi-hat but that's just me
The beat feels a little overwhelming at times, a lot of the instruments/sounds don't have enough room to breathe imo. The rap is great tho, love the hook and great flow throughout the track

The mixing on this isn't that great. The drums are too quiet, the track isn't well balanced, The Mastering seems a bit quiet, and the track seems to slip out of tempo alot. I really do not like the drumming on this either desu. I like the feel you were going for
I only reveal a sample if I absolutely have to, makes it more fun for the listeners when they discover the sample themselves, maybe even add it to Whosampled or make a sample deconstruction video :)
>the vocals, that go monotone but not deadpan- try to vary with shouts, higher register vocals
try listening to my other stuff.
I'd suggest Complexity.
The vocals were supposed to be that way. It is in an album that follows a theme mang

Guys this dude is amazing. Highly recc.
Thanks so much man. Grievances of a past love has some beautiful feel to it, jangly guitar and some of those synths sound gorgeous. Vocal could actually be mixed a bit louder, but still a great song. rec
ok wow man, this is some noisey and cool shit. I will make some points about the mixing though. Like this is a brick across almost all frequencies the way through, which fine if its what you are going for. But you can actually make more impact even in droney shit if you do play with ideas of loud/soft and also build around certain parts of the spectrum at certain times. I think it could be some of the fed back guitar that is pushing this mix btw. Could be something to look at. Also you could contrast some of this crazy noise with something maybe that is harmonious at times, you could even keep the strange rhythms.
anyway really liked it, just wanted to offer some advice too :)
hey man so i dont know if you did the rap or the beat. The beat is absolutely fantastic and really creative. As for the vocal, it isnt bad - some of your flow is really good in fact, and some of your rhymes work really well. Some of it though is not my cup at all, makes you sound like a smarmy annoying kid or something when I can hear in fact you got a lot of good things going for you in the rap.
Sorry if that seems harsh, just trying to offer some proper feedback, i had a lot of trouble wording exactly what my problem with the rap was.
not going to lie, was skipping around in it because it was so long. going to have to listen in full later cos this is really cool
hey man, really cool little piece here, dont always listen to this stuff the mood well

some interesting stuff here man. night train starts a little bit monotone but what it builds to is quite nice, I think the kick could either be worked on with slight variation or you could start the build a little sooner to retain interest etc. maybe even change the kick sample and have more like ambience at the start. still a good song
surface tension is a fun little trippy hip hop song.
oh wow man, this is like an awesome brick of industrial noise. dope as fuck to be honest
alright man, the flow here is pretty hypnotic. Production is good but the mixing could be improved, your snare when it was in was insanely loud compared to your bass in other parts which could rumble even more. Instead it sounds like super compressed. okkkkk and I just read now its an actual song. still point stands about production, its fun but mixing could be improved.
ah aidan clare, love your stuff, enjoying the new ones too. I think you would like Jason Carruths stuff, he directed and scored primer and upstream colour
Really liked Axon btw
hey man, no shame if it was in highschool ;)
hey man, video game-ish music isnt always my thing but I thought this was quite laid back. This Small Town reminded me of like a soundtrack for the sleepy town in an RPG

Will return everything you guys leave here, would love to hear what you all think
My post
Ambient, instrumental, and easy going; overall good.
solid beats, good attitude; could go harder on the melodies/lyrics though
I like the theory, the melody unfortunately is drowned out by the effect. This song I feel would do more justice with less flanger/phaser and just a full sound focusing on the keys
There is much potential with this. Keep it going, and go ham at times.
Upbeat and catchy. It does have a lot going on which could take away from the whole song. Where is the bass though?
>soundcloud.com
already following lol, good shit
Really basic stuff sounds like your holding drone keys with simple bell melodies and trap drums
