...

Comrade, I would "understand" economics pretty well if I was born with such a silver spoon in my mouth.

I am a Marxian Socialist.

Bring it on.

A classless society isn't possible. Grow up.

Do you always put all your punctuation marks at the end of your run-on sentences that makes no sense?.

College will never be free asshole

not him but oh I am laughin

Explain

Trump has said he would literally default on American debt which would crash the world economy.

Nothing is free. College would be paid for with taxes like it already is in many countries already.

no, america's excerptional

I dont want stupid ass high taxes u retard

And you feel that higher education should be paid for by the government?

>A classless society isn't possible.
ok I can understand where you're coming from that doesn't sound unreasonable.

>Grow up.
>pic related
>you'll never make a machine that flies. Grow up.
>you'll never go into space. Grow up
>you'll never land a man on the moon. Grow up

Yeah with that attitude nothing will ever get done. It's time to stop treating new ideas and intellectualism like a kid's dream. Dreams are the foundation for new ideas. Dreams are visions for the future that can be constructed by minds who dare to do what isn't the norm.

Grow the fuck up and tell people to dream

Trump also said the would literally deport all Mexicans too.

He won't win. He and the GOP have zero issues to run on. That is why their convention has literally been nothing more than a giant Hillary bash-fest.

Isn't the u s just a big business now, wouldn't somebody who has exp do a decent job?

Not all dreams are based in reality.

>I dont want stupid ass high taxes u retard

you know with a better education you could've learned to write better. And make it possible to pay for the higher taxes with a higher paying job you got with that degree.

Trump is gonna take it. You are gonna have to deal with it faggot

and they never will be if you don't try.

>illegal Mexicans
>illegal

This is why libtards aren't taken seriously. You peat and repeat just what the DNC emailer says instead of actually listening to him.

In what? Gun deaths and incarceration rates?

Honestly you could do it without raising taxes much. It would just require reallocation of what it is now. The Iraq war has already cost us 2 trillion dollars. By 2050 that number will be 6 trillion when you include interest. We could cancel all outstanding student loan debts with just 1 trillion of that.

Yes. Think of it as an investment. When government pays students to go to college it allows civilians to acquire better paying jobs. They then in turn pay more in taxes. There are multiple studies showing how this is good for the economy and promotes upwards mobility.

>that is right elmer, keep dreaming eventually youll be able to breathe cheese and become immortal
Dreams are fine, but knowing when to stop is key.

"Measures for the redistribution of incomes in a way likely to raise the propensity to consume may prove positively favourable to the growth of capital." - John Maynard Keynes (founder of modern macroeconomics) in The General Theory of Employment, page 373

Memes?
I like memes!
Look at this meme!

But how is it an investment if the educated dont actually get well paying jobs? How do you plan to get people these high paying jobs, when even right now there are not that many? How many college students have not found high paying work in their field? It cant be an investment if it doesnt pay out.

>has no rebuttal against knowing when to call it quits

The fact that you still use terms like libtards proves you are uneducated/ignorant. Life isn't black and white, neither are politics. If we are going to have a shitty two party system, these parties need to work together, not shoehorn each other into 4th grade level stereotypes. Fuck off, your opinion is baseless and ignorant.

Education is just like infrastructure. A country needs more of it to facilitate greater economic growth, and government spending is the only reliable and effective way to invest in large-scale education or infrastructure.

Where will this money come from? There are alot of students

he had an excellent rebuttal. Saying something won't work because it doesn't now is basically saying this whole world shouldn't exist.

No his rebuttal was memes

The US has 5.5 million job openings available right now, which is literally an all-time record, and the overwhelming majority of those openings require some level of college education. The average income of people with a college degree is significantly higher than those without a college degree. The argument that having a college degree doesn't actually help you get a job is totally baseless.

>The fact that BLAH BLAH BLAH

The fact that you didn't even address Trump really saying ILLEGAL immigrants vs the left's claim of "all mexicans" proves you're a closed minded dumb fuck.

>In what? Gun deaths and incarceration rates?

don't forget type 2 diabetes

Not every single graduate would have to find a job for it to be worthwhile. The return on investment is larger than you think.

Yes they are undocumented. That doesn't mean we should assemble an army of brown coats and kick in peoples doors to ship them back. Look up how well mass deportation programs like Operation Wetback work. They're horrific and don't solve the problem.

>work hard enough and don't give up and you can do anything!
>but not too far out into the realm of possibilities that's just crazy!

And are you saying I should just give up when something I dream of seems impossible? Some people dedicate their entire lives to something they're passionate about and you don't see them giving up because they hit a snag. They keep going until their vision is realized. Humanity is filled with examples of people having impossible dreams but actually making it happen

At first you don't succeed, try try again

Also hate to tell you but it's quite possible that humanity becoming immortal will be a thing in the next 100 years

The federal government. Economists have estimated than it would take 150 to 200 billion dollars a year to cover all the current college tuition currently being paid by students and their families, which is less than one-third what we spend on the military and one-fifth what we spend on social security. A small tax increase could easily cover the cost.

A rebuttal? You wanted a rebuttal?
I thought with that weak ass argument you wanted to toss around some zesty pictures.
What even is your argument? That everyone's dreams ought to end when you say so?
Little Timmy is dying of cancer, better pull the plug on him, cause his dream of getting better is ridiculous.
Suzy wants to be an astronaut, well fuck her, do you know how statistically improbable that is? She'd better be an accountant.
Billions dream of world peace, an end to hunger, the end of strife and pain. Nope, unrealistic. They'd better toil until you, some random asshole on the internet deems those dreams worthy.
Furthermore, as far as your statement about "breathing cheese and being immortal" is concerned I'd advise you to google transhumanism.

Yet how many people are out of work? How many college grads actually have jobs? How many people do we import to do jobs? What makes you think that making education free will actually make people able to do these jobs?

uhhh, there's a job reparing air compressors I'm looking at right now that pays $25 an hour + overtime. No college required.

there are fuckloads of jobs that don't need degrees. If anything the fact that everyone has degrees now has made jobs want people to have them. It's kind of a chicken or the egg question. Do companies want degrees because everyone has them now because they were told they needed them? Or Did companies just start wanting degrees?

My uncle is a software developer for a large cell provider and he doesn't have a degree. If you wanted his job now you'd need one.

>small increase

So you think people should pursue their dreams at all costs?
>fucking millennials

So you think people should pursue their dreams at all costs?
>Fucking Greatest Generation

The irrational pursuit of dreams is what built this country, boy.

Yes small. Did you not read the rest of the paragraph? It's a drop in the bucket compared to things like the military budget. In fact we should just reallocate the money from the military to pay for it but then the cowardly republicans would be all butthurt and scared as they always are.

Have you ever heard of marginal demand for labor? If not, go take a macroeconomics class. The wage that a worker earns is proportional to the demand for employment in his field and speciality. The fact that college grads make so much more money than those without college education proves that companies have much greater desire to hire them. And, as I already pointed out, the US has a record high number of job openings for college educated workers which proves there aren't enough workers already available to fill those positions. And the unemployment rate for college graduates is significantly lower than for those without college education.

tomorrow, all will be revealed

moot is donald trump

welcome to your life

youtube.com/watch?v=SFU1GeGFpzY

If there are so many jobs available for those without college degrees then explain why the unemployment rate for those without college degrees is so much higher than for those with a college degree.

cause they're stupid and they've never thought about going to a construction site or doing an apprenticeship and learning valuable job skills.

This country is shit, I'd rather have a buisness man than a crook

The minimum wage keeps them from entering low skilled jobs, unfortunately.

Fine, but dont expect others to foot your bill. Pursue your dreams until your hearts content, but you pay for it. That is something else that made this country great.

>Trump wants to force American companies to manufacture in the US
>Doesn't realize this will cause the price of consumer goods to skyrocket

Construction jobs typically pay more than minimum wage. McDonald's would be your average minimum wage job.

What? Construction apprentice pays way over min wage

No I'm saying that you shouldn't give up just because it seems impossible. Your generation taught us that. We're all told to shoot for the stars but suddenly
>actually we lied grow up and get a feasible job.

Where if more men and women thought like you did we'd still be in the dark ages because anyone thinking outside the box was a lunatic for throwing away a good opportunity at something average and safe.

Also saying
>fucking millennials
is like saying fucking liberals, fucking boomers, fucking X

You don't add to the conversation you're just trying for a sad attempt to rally some crowd that would gather up and say
>here here for that! yes X is bad don't you see haha!

Our military protects more than just America. That is why we spend so much. We get fucked by our NATO allies, so if you want to get out of NATO im with you.

>join the military (pay is shit at the beginning but you initially get free housing in dorms/barracks)
>choose a job that provide valuable trade skills(some provide certifications)
>do 4 years, use tuition assistance to acquire certifications if your didn't get them already
>get out, you have 4 years of experience and a certification

Fair enough. Keep the multinationals out of my way, though.

But what happens when higher ed becomes the new standard? What happens?

I didnt mean construction specifically but i understand why i confused you.

He knows that.

The real truth is that millennials believe that this type of job is "beneath" them. They shouldn't have to work such a job because they are special little snowflakes.

But what happens when you spent your whole life pursing your dream and nothing comes out of it?

also niggers don't want to do manual labor or have to listen to some white foreman tell them what to do, if the foreman is black he's a slave to the whites

Yes low skill, service, dont pay much but when there are apprentice jobs and trade jobs that dont require much schooling, how can you make the point that wages need to increase?

The fact that you have to go through military training to even get into the job market is insane, I understand why they'd give you incentives to do it, but it shouldn't have to to start working as a low skilled worker.

I'd also like to say that mcdonald's isn't supposed to be a job for fucking adults popping out kids. It's for high school students.

I won't argue with that, but what about the highest demand fields, the ones most critical to economic growth, like STEM fields, doctors and professors? There's no denying that our economy needs more workers qualified for these kinds of positions, and they almost all require substantial education. Software developers without high school degrees is an exception, not the norm. Mostly because it's a relatively new field and there aren't enough fully qualified workers to meet demand. Free college would increase the number of students studying in these fields which would be a significant long-term benefit to economic growth.

I don't understand the question?

>get out of NATO
So Putin can rule Europe? What a disaster. Allowing our NATO allies to take advantage of our military spending is a small price to pay for global stability and the preservation of Western hegemony.

We dont need more professors.
Doctors, maybe.
And only some STEM jobs are in high demand.
Why not make getting an associates degree free in the STEM fields? Why must it be a 4 year degree?

So how can you say we need to decrease spending? Do you not want our allies to feel safe?

But what happens when I spend my whole life working at some fast food place and nothing comes out of it

But what happens when I spend my whole life working at some desk job and nothing comes out of it

But what happens when I spend my whole life working at some car shop and nothing comes out of it

Life is full of variables. If everyone said,
>what if it's pointless?
At every decision, T=then life would have no purpose.

Why not at the beginning of thought someone came up to us and said
>you can try and go through life, but what if it's all pointless?

That's kind of how you sound.

at least they'd appreciate us

By that point the economy will have grown substantially from the benefits of a more educated work force. You seem to be fundamentally misunderstanding the effects of growing higher education. Higher education becoming the standard would be a good, not a bad thing, because the benefits to the economy will far outweigh the costs.

...

Howw can you call for a higher minimum wage when there are plenty of low skilled jobs out there that pay more than the minimum? A higher minimum wage will decrease hours, make contract and freelance work more likely, and will kill employee drive/morale.

fuck all you niggers i hope trump wins hes gonna be a good president

what?... How does higher education as a standard help the economy? It will just make skilled trades less achievable and probably lower wages.

Also, what happens when everyone has a bachelors? Companies will only higher people with a masters.

No they wouldnt lol. They dont appreciate us now

Paying for college through taxation is incredibly inefficient and usually makes it cost way more than it should, like it already does because of guaranteed loans through the government to student. And also, the jobs that are most crucial to economic growth are production and entrepreneurs who lower the costs of consumption and give people better conditions of living. But ofcourse, major innovation comes from those jobs but it's not detrimental.

My whole point boils down to this: know when to call it quits. Dream all you want, but know when it is time to stop.

I'm not, I think it should be abolished lmao

.... and the media will go after him daily telling what a shitty job he's doing, or how this is terrible, or that is terrible.

I remember them crying about "the average American can't pay $2.00/gal for gas" and constantly harping on the prices going up when Bush was president. Like he controlled it or something....

Then when Obama was president, prices went over $4.00/gal and not a thing was said about it..... crickets....

Nobody understands economics, except economists. And they're soulless husks of autism because of it. Not that that's a bad thing. We need robots to deal eith these things

The majority of engineering fields, software, informatics, communications and other technology-related fields are currently in high demand. Plus most chemistry and geology fields, especially biochemistry (because the pharmaceutical industry is huge).

I'm currently studying for a degree in engineering at a four-year university and I can speak from experience that a two-year degree wouldn't be enough to cover the necessary subjects.

Well, I'd say that's because people with more than minimal skills, motivation, and contribution are not payed more than the minimal amount.

Gas is $2.04 now, and I can very distinctly remember the media blaming Obama circa 2010 for high gas prices.

>why are libtards so stupid do you understand economics at all?

asks the user who supports the guy who's gone bankrupt 6 times. not once..... SIX TIMES.

And mine to this: dreams build ideas, nations, works of art, knowledge, inventions, companies, and kings.

I think it's ironic how the right says to work hard and never give up. But when you work hard for something big, you need to know when to stop.

>But that's not REAL bankruptcy!
>His Dad bailed him out!
>It's the American way!

And i just got out of college where i had many engineering friends. About half had to stay and get their masters and the ones who tried to get out in the field only some have found work. Engineering is the biggest joke in university right now. So many of them have the 100k dollar signs in their eyes, but they dont understand that they are in for a world of shock.
So you are saying a two year degree, and a two year apprentice program wouldnt be better? Subsidize both programs so the company is incentivised to hire these apprentices.

>why are libtards so stupid do you understand economics at all?!?!

Why are Jews allowed to be in the banking industry AT ALL?

Trump never went bankrupt

Saying that more highly educated workers makes education less valuable is like saying have more infrastructure makes existing bridges less useful. Having more bridges might lower demand on each individual bridge (i.e. less traffic), but the benefits of having more bridges will justify the cost. The same principle applies to education. Having more highly educated workers means that companies can get more work done and increase productivity in the areas that require highly educated workers.

The American taxpayer bailed him out. Fucking shit up, then sucking off the government teat is what he does best.

...

I think it is hillarious that the left always thinks when someone goes against them it is the right lol
Dreams do build these things, but not everybody has the right dreams. How can you justify telling someone to never give up on their dream, when they very clearly have the wrong dream?

>strawman
>bridges arent the same as bachelor degrees
>the same principle does not apply

Have you muricunts ever asked you why liberal mean something different in europe? Liberalism is classical liberalism here. Your liberalism means social liberalism in most of the countries.
