How often do you fuckers wash your mainboards?
I do it like every 4 months, but that's obviously not enough. The performance boost every time is amazing.

Oh shit I haven't washed mine yet. I've had it for 3 years. Should I do it myself, or take it somewhere?
doesn't this fuck up the entire circuit?
once for half year. When my computer is going slow
don't like to do it btw because drying is taking too much for me
oh boy oh boy lets see where this shit thread goes
what soap do u use ?
I just keep my whole PC in a tub of water and change that once a week. Can't get dusty if its under water.
I started doing it last year and you would not believe what kind of shit build up on your mother board.
I did it once a month until it looked new but now I only wash it every 3.
this nigga doesnt get the joke
No, it cleans the circuit for a better connection and makes things run much faster and smooth. If you do that when it's on then yea it will fuck it up.
Noob
Just let it dry for an hour before reinstalling it
fresh natural water is best, so use a stream or river
Implying you put electricity through that bad boy. I just let my sperm travel on the copper highway
Do I use regular dish soap, or is there a special kind I need to buy?
Kill yourself
Its easy enough to do it yourself. Don't really need to *wash* it. A thorough rinse should do the trick.
You have to use a soft sponge to not scratch it. learned this the hard way the first time I tried to wash mine.
So this is why my computer is so slow? Because I've never washed it?
only do it when i remember to buy thermal paste. so only about once every 6-8 months. but seriously man nothing gets that shit near-mint again like Dawn and Comet.
I've been doing it about once a month for a few months now and I can't believe the difference. You're a true faggot if you don't do this regularly.
I try to wash it once a year cuz the gold plate used in the mother board gets scratched off and it over heats faster if that happens. I
This
I started doing it every month now after I purchased a new computer. Thought I'd properly look after it this time.
I use liquid hand soap because its cheap. I have no problem with it but you might be able to use dishwasher soap too.
>this thread
Damn, I just did it and now it runs so fast and smooth, thanks you guys
Yes probably. I wash mine once a year.
Add a capful of white vinegar. It really helps
As long as you don't try and clean it when its part of the PC...
Take it out and its fine.
I have a laptop. (It's my dad's) How do I wash a laptop mainboard?
I garden hose it every other week. Trick is to just let it dry for a couple of hours. Speed boost is amazing though.
>this entire thread
Same with me. I want to keep my laptop for as long as possible and cleaning it every once in a while seems to be the best way.
You do realise you don't need to take it out of the computer or even unplug it right? Modern computers allow for cleaning while still powered, that is why all of the wires are wrapped.
I just did it and now my computer wont turn on....?????
I've actually done this with several older boards. It works fine so long as you don't power it until it's completely dry (take out cmos battery), and you don't use any heat source to try to dry it faster (learned that one the hard way).
I've heard of people just using water but I prefer a 90% alcohol bath. Anyone else part of the alcohol master race?
I've done this, dried the mobo in the oven, reinstalled it, and I got a boost of 20fps in most games. I'd definitely recommend this method, just make sure you completely dry the mobo before turning it back on.
I once do it butnow im just too lazy.
If im going to take all the components od the motherboardI might just as well upgrade to another one.
Two hours, you will risk if you let it dry for less that one hour and an half
Use a pressure washer, retard.
That's not a good idea because you might extinguish the firewall if the water goes into the chips.
Wait for it to dry off newfag...
No. You are the noob. No-one has even mentioned that you won't even know when it's dry unless you take the cpu out. Once water gets under the socket the it will stay wet forever
I use white spirit with mine. Works like a dream. :)
this.
I leave the network cable plugged in to clean my internet too.
This is a retarded attempt at a joke. Even if you did wash the motherboard, it most likely wouldn't be damaged unless you let it soak for a very long time, or forgot to take the battery out.
Nah it gives better results if you take the motherboard apart first
Shit, FUCK!! I can't believe how fast it runs league of legends now. This is awesome
what the fuck faget i did this in the microsecond it took me to read the entire thread and now my computer is shitting furry memes assholes
its only a bit moist.....I'll microwave it to dry it faster
Sometimes im in a rush so i just use the pressure from my super soaker to clean it this way i dont even have to turn it off then i dry it by turning a air can upside down and spraying so it freezez all left over water
Downy with the save the life of the duckee on it
Don't call me a retard you fucking jew.
Damn, never did this on my 3 year old pc. Gonna do it tonight
Yeah but there is still a risk of short circuiting if any electricity reacts with the liquid. Usually the electricity runs in the mobo but if it is faulty some electricities may run on the outside, which could cause serious damage.
>youarenteventrying.jpeg
Everyone's laughing but this works if you take out the cmos battery and wait for the board to be completely dry.
i do the same with my iphone
just make sure you download the latest version of iOS that adds water resistance. don't want to ruin it!
You can dry it in a microwave
(this is a serious post)
I whased my mb (and only mb, not cpu/cards/whatever) with denatured alcohol and it gave almost no results, only took away dust
can someone screencap this thread
Sent from my Android phone
I prefer just to del system 32, works wonders
Yep
Kek
a clean pc is a fast pc
Noob do you even ever into pc?
Any specific kind of cleaning tool ie sponge, cloth or brush?
nah brah. 's all good, you can wash it no fears. but it's best if you wash your system32 with warm watter. that way the drivers won't get buggy 'n shit
You're right. Now enjoy watching all the retards who think they're being clever, and actually believe they'll actually fool someone.
For maximum dryness, wrap the mainboard in tin foil BEFORE putting it in the microwave. I do it all the time and it works brilliantly. at least a 10+fps increase in my games.
if it's your first time washing your board I suggest you take it somewhere and ask them to teach you
underrated
True. Did that with mine a couple of days ago. It even recognised i washed it and god a nice notification. Its a must for all
It won't hurt anything as long as you aren't retarded and use non-bacterial soap. Antibacterial soap will wash without residue and won't hurt anything. Just let it dry for an hour and you'll be fine.
I run a computer shop in town and sink wash about 75% of motherboards that come in for repair and maintenance. I've only had one board die, but it was a solder joint problem, not from the washing.
It only works if you download the cpu into the ram microchip
Found waldo.
I resolder the power supply board every fortnight too. Clean solder stops power spikes and capacitance resistant transistor diodes. Boosts CPU speed by at least 14%
İ'm just deleting my system32. Do i have to do it too?
yup
>this also
helps very much with corosion
You faggots arn't doing it right. I'm a Physicist and let me tell you what I do. You're meant to remove your motherboards, ram, cpu and let them sit in a tub of nitric acid for several hours. The acid reoxidises the components vastly improving performance and acts as a protective layer protecting your pc from slow down in the future.
I actually bet you're actually diagnosed with actual autism.
>not letting a gold fish browse your motherboard
that engineer knows her shit
>soldering the motherboard
>not using a drill
Nice projection there, sport.
This should also help
Idk why these faggots never install a bluray burner in there too.
that's true
how can it fuck up? of course if you put it wet inside, you must dry it firstly
4 years, i open it like 8 days ago cause power suply blow up wen i was playing star cityzen, .... cant even see the damm circuits for the dust... xD not even try to clean just plug the new suply and close that shit..
if you dont see it, no problemo there.
Dishwasher is your friend here, OP is a noob scrubbing by hand, that doesn't get right under the parts and clear contact corrosion, plus, the dry cycle gets rid of the water completely, reducing dry time.
Next gen refrigeration system
...
its important to lube the cpu with mayo
why the fuck is he putting toothpaste on the ram?
that's metal as fuck
I did it and now my pc is like a rocket! Thanx guys, Minecraft runs smoother than ever!
you weak sauce fucks, watch this fucking video Sup Forums
The menthol is a very good conductor and helps to speed up your cpu and ram
Is there any way to do this with my playstation?
