ETIQUETTE - Include correct format (artist / band, title of release, year of release, cover art, the file type (v0, 320 mp3, FLAC, etc), short description, YouTube sample, link) - Send thanks if you have downloaded something to let them know they did a good thing - Avoid sharing / requesting things that are already on the archive - Soulseek / rutracker are your friends, too - just don't argue in this thread about it - No samples on YouTube, Soundcloud? Drag'n'drop any mp3 on clyp.it
REQUESTS >I have a request! Did I... - Check the archive for a live link before requesting? - Share something first? - Google "blogspot + artist name + album name"
ARCHIVE >"I don't know how to find what I'm looking for in the archive" - Go here: >>>>>>>archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/ - When searching, limit your search to links only, like so: "desired album mega|zippyshare|mediafire|slacktunes" - Make sure you've typed "zippyshare" and not "zippy", or else Zippyshare links will not be found.
I know I'm breaking the rules, and I'm deeply sorry. Does anyone have John Cale - New York in the 1960s: Sun Blindness Music? Only archive links are dead and I can't seem to find it elsewhere. Thanks, I love you.
Joshua Walker
asking for this again, I would be extremely grateful
Evan Jenkins
it's been one hour and there's only been ten posts total. chill out
I know, it's just that I've been looking for this album for a really long time as I had the LP a long time ago but have since lost it.

more people replying to requests, more junk (easy to find) requests, more complaining and more memes = fewer quality shares = fewer shares per thread = less 'value' per thread, and threads more often.
if we want to counter that, the op has to be simpler, or at least better directed, for people reading it for the first time. with soulseek and deezloader mentioned down the bottom, and etiquette for posting up the top, new anons are more likely to read half of the post, stopping because it seems useless to them, and making a shit request.
soulseek, the source of almost all requests that aren't in the archive, is only described as p2p with an external link, which doesn't even describe it accurately. without a more retard-proof op, threads will (and already have) become more frequent, less interesting, and less useful.
slow, album-dense share threads are the ideal, but a slow thread is harder to maintain on a board which is gaining activity like Sup Forums, pushing threads off the board in only a day of no replies.
it ain't gonna fix itself
Oliver Edwards
does anybody have anything that sounds like this? mainly the fuzzy guitar tone
Oh, I know. I'm just desperate and it helps grab attention
Aiden Jones
maybe if you shared it would attract more attention you waste :^)
Adrian Sanchez
I'm sorry :(
Hudson Ross
genuinely the first time I've seen Mad Season mentioned on Sup Forums I don't like grunge anymore but this is a nostalgia trip
Josiah Sullivan
When was the last time a sharethread hit the image limit before the bump..? Exactly, stfu faggot
Samuel White

I don't post in these but if vs means what I think it does then here is some good, relatively unknown maya themed black metal mega.nz/#fm/hskEWbJZ\ hope the link works
next time, read the sticky on the very top of the thread, dude. invlude the artist name and the album cover, and the type of file (320 mp3, flac, etc) be specific next time.
Lucas Anderson

Maybe these threads aren't some sacred space and it really doesn't matter.
Michael Hoenig - Departure From the Northern Wastelands (1978) [320] >electronic, ambient, sci-fi soundtrack, music for driving through a desert at night

thanks for the shares.
I just recently got back into music and share threads have always been the main way that I discover new interesting stuff. I dig through blogs and shitty dl sites that turn up on google to find more whenever I get hooked on a certain artist/genre. It's a lot of fun discovering sounds that are new to me. Music is also a way to escape into the past for me though. I tend to gravitate towards older stuff 5, 10, 20 years ago. Unhappy with the way things are going - the future feels wrong but there's such a wealth of culture and creativity going back and that comforts me.

thanks 4 the blog post anime picture

>Bitrate varies damn...
Angel Bell
Yeah, what the fuck is with that shit? I see albums occasionally that have the bitrates all over the place.
What reason is there for this?
Dominic Williams
Jessica?
Landon Turner
probably because they were encoded using variable bitrate and not constant bitrate. VBR encoded as V0 is as transparent (for lossy that is) as 320 CBR and it saves you around an MB or two for every song
Nolan Morales
Good explanation. Thank you
