I always thought 24 would've been good as an anthology show with a new cast and plot each season but after 9 seasons of Jack it'll be hard to not have him.

I think its safe to assume we're never going to see jack again (because reasons.) and i get the feeling that we're getting season one in a modern time setting.

I don't have anything against Dindu Bauer, but I don't like how the filming style seems to have changed. 24 was never particularly cinematic, it was quick and pacy even when there was no fighting going on.

This show will do awfully. It just feels so lazy, without Jack Bauer there's no point to the formula. Just leave it alone and make an original military themed show.

I'm not hating for the sake of hating. There are some real genuine problems.

Trailer looked awfully bland and lacking anything that made the franchise great.

The cinematography from what footage has been displayed looks a lot like every low budget indie flick that's direct to DVD. If it wasn't for the clock gimmick and ctu this could be any bland procedual.

The revenge bomb plot, lead actor, aesthetic of entirely trailer just looks unoriginal and nothing short of filling the networks quota at expense of the franchise's fan base. Believe it or not it's cheaper for the network to shit out new pilots every year than retain original series.

I won't even talk about the music. It should be apparent they really don't care about the license.

So really, are you serious about being hyped for this? I'd rather nothing than what I just saw.
