Looking for winter jams, twee, noisy, etc.

Foggy, autumnal, or blizzards
I am not very good with metal but check out Luciano Cilo, Afrika Bambaata

Talk Talk - the colour of Spring if you haven't heard it

Thee Oh Sees -Carrion crawler/the dream

Looking for any recommendations

What's that Dale Cooper Quartet album like?

Phil Spector - A Christmas Gift for You From Phillies Records
Tim Buckley - Starsailor

It's like the soundtrack to a really gritty, but calm mystery/drama, pretty darn cool. Much less like Bohren & der Club of Gore than I expected, really takes its own approach to that whole thing.

I made my first chart last night and didnt get a chance to share it.

I know that most of the music on here is garbage, so please give me some constructive criticism

did you add me on rym the other day?
tama - tokyo fruits

simply saucer - cyborgs revisited

jasmine star - s/t

dressed in streams - the search for blood

...

Good taste IMO

>Wax Fang - The Astronaut

A lot of this feels painfully generic desu
recs appreciated
I would have put the album titles on it but I tried to upload my background image and it RELOADED THE PAGE ffs. Something tells me most of these aren't hard to figure out anyway though

That's not Galaxie 500 - On Fire next to Endtroducing is it? If it is that cover is way better than the original

What's the best New Order album? I've tried to listen to Movement and PC&L and I love the fast-paced songs but I always have to drop them because the slower-paced ones do nothing for me

Ever listened to Murmuure?

Sonny Sharrock - Black Woman

i'm late so no recs today, sorry
not that my recs are good enough to warrant giving anyways

Oh yes it is my good sir
original one was far too 90s kids for me
why don't you love Eels - Electroshock Blues yet wtf

jimbon with the quality recs, my dude
Noticed you haven't rated Talking Heads 77 yet
also Death In June's first record has been a recent enjoyment thatll suit you well

Love both of those albums, thank you though
anything you haven't heard from my chart, also The Raincoats - Odyshape and first album

Morning, fellas.

Why didn't you invite me
prick
Hey UFO is pretty good
ever listened of their first 2 albums? It's very different than their later work and criminally underrated imo
also patrician metallica choice
Traitors Gate - Devil Takes the High Road
Tank - Honour & Blood
Diamond Head - Lightning to the Nations
Coroner - Punishment for Decadence
pretty good
You'd probably like most of the stuff on my chart
%7 Solution - All About Satellites and
Spaceships
Quickspace - The Death of Quickspace, Precious Falling
White Noise - An Electric Storm
Loop - Fade Out

>BaAS moving on up
I like what I see

...

Bmp

i don't really care much for any of new order's studio stuff bar a few tracks on power corruption lies but substance is just honestly leaps and bounds ahead of anything else they've done. i'm not sure it's something you'd prefer because a lot of the tracks on there are like 5-7 minutes but the a side of substance is probably the most consistent piece of music i've ever heard

if you like the faster paced stuff though you'd probably like this, one of my absolute favorites
rateyourmusic.com/release/comp/love_parade/past_crimes/

yeah the only talking heads that i really care for is their live album but i haven't delved much into the rest of their studio stuff bar remain in light, i probably should do that huh

i haven't listened to death in june in a long ass time. i have a huge hard on for gothic post punk though and this looks very nice, will report back. thx for the recs hombre

>did you add me on rym the other day?
yeah, thanks for the rec.

Wall Of Voodoo - Dark Continent
The Toasters

Mutyumu - Il y a
Blurt - S/T
Sup, snoozy.

>tama - tokyo fruits
also, do you have a link to this, archive's down, no luck on slsk and i can't find a blogspot with it

Nice, can dig it

Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
Eloy - Ocean
Aztec Camera - High Land, Hard Rain

Love this chart, need to have a good pilfer through this

annexus quam - osmose
lizzy mercier descloux - press color

chameleons - script of the bridge
chameleons - tony fletcher walked on water
prolapse - pointless walks to dismal places

Cul de Sac - China Gate

Chakra - Satekoso
Boredoms - Creation Vision Newsun
Shoji Aketagawa,Kan Mikami & Toshiaki Ishizuka - 大勘定

this might be a stretch but since you like noisy stuff and mississipi luau, try this
Even Oxen - Arrayed Above the Seraphim Lights

gonna review some of the recs I got last time I posted my chart earlier this week since I bet those same anons are lurking again

>Titus Andronicus
I had already listened to them in the past and I do like them but idk why people adore The Monitor so much. There are some great melodic parts but a lot of the record feels like they're chugging along just to get the words out.

>Mr. Bungle
some tracks are way better than others. Feels like they are (very proficiently) goofing around. Didn't really enjoy it as a whole though (I listened to Disco Volante and California. I liked Disco more)

>Thanksgiving - The River
had never heard of it and thought it was totally awesome. thanks user

>The Brave Little Abacus - Masked Dancers
I checked them out once before and was turned off by the singer's voice but this time it didn't bother me and the album was awesome

>Herbie Hancock
I liked it. My knowledge of jazz is extremely minimal but I'd like to listen to more so I'll take any jazz recs

>twee, noisy
ever listen to Los Campesinos?

>ska and pop punk
we should chill. check out Anamanaguchi, Jeff Rosenstock's old bands Bomb the Music Industry and The Arrogant Sons of Bitches, Alkaline Trio, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Danny Brown

nice vinyls bro

not to be a dick but I hate the sex pistols. what do you like about that album? genuinely curious. Check out Nouvelle Vague and The Depreciation Guild

The Olivia Tremor Control but you've probably already checked them out

i'm saving your chart so i can check out more jangle pop/power pop since i see you love bnl and weezer as much/more than i do

Not much, you?

...

Posting up again, I'd love a bunch of recs. Now that I'm on break, I'm in need of new stuff to watch.

Going grocery shopping in a minute here.

WE NEED FOOD
I love and hate your chart so much at the same time.

checked

Meant listen to, of course, oops

what's the love and what's the hate?

OH FRICC
>Now that I'm on break
From college, right, user? RIGHT?
>love
AnCo, Naked City, Melt-Banana, AJJ, Weezer, Sufjan, Dillinger, your hip-hop and (post-)hardcore choices
>hate
Burial, Swiftie, CRJ, Bon Iver, all that pop-punk

You obviously have found your niche though and that's cool. It's a respectable chart.

you have paranoid twice

robert wyatt - rock bottom
+janacek, very underrated composer
this is fairly pleb but glad you're being honest rather than pretending to like Sup Forumscore
patrician

also patrician
Try Organisation - Tone Float
You really like mbv don't you?
Try LSD & The Search for God

Patrician taste
October Falls - A Collapse of Faith
Dark Angel - Darkness Descends
Leviathan - The Tenth Sub-level of Suicide
Forteresse - Metal Noir Quebecois

Elder - Lore

You know of Melvins? If not, you'll love them, especially Bullhead

Hexvessel - Dawnbearer

I a surprised artists like Janelle Monae and Julia Holter aren't on this chart. Maybe worth checking out if you haven't yet?

Otherwise idk maybe you might find Gems Of Masochism by Antioch Arrow interesting for its interesting take on emo?

So many textures in this chart. Here's some textures in a buncha genres.

Actress - RIP
Anthony Davis - Variations In Dream Time
Rhys Chatham - Pythagorean Dream
Acid Mother's Temple - La Novia
Hash Jar Tempo - Well Oiled

>My knowledge of jazz is extremely minimal but I'd like to listen to more so I'll take any jazz recs

Alright, I'll rec something similar to someone else who I was tryna help out

>Pre-1959 stuff
Louis Armstrong - Hot Fives And Hot Sevens (traditional jazz stuff)
Duke Ellington - The Blanton-Webster Band (big band stuff)
Charlie Parker - The Charlie Parker Story (more complex, bebop stuff)

>if the Herbie Hancock album you were recced was 60s stuff like Maiden Voyage, and you wanna get into that usual Miles Davis/John Coltrane modal stuff that's usually rated tops everywhere
Wayne Shorter - Juju
Ryo Fukui - Scenery (the red meme japanese jazz album)

>if you were recced 70s Hancock like Headhunters or Sextant, and want more jazz fusion type stuff
Miles Davis - On The Corner

Collection of tracks with Herbie on the electric piano as sideman. The earlier tracks are on the jazzier side of jazz fusion, and the later tracks are on the fusioner, cheesier side of jazz fusion.
