Why the hate?
Why the hate?
Because the same shit happens to the same guy twice
>That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. It doesn't show up on your airport X-ray machines here and it costs more than what you make in a month!"
Bad movie
Third one is superior
naked karate man is not good enough a villain as hans gruber.
Was originally a shitty movie but was repackaged into a Die Hard film.
This, third movie is best
What was his fucking problem ?
He was an asshole
die hard>die hard 2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>MLP porn>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>midget niggers dressed as nazis porn>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>the rest
You didn't like 3?
Btw was the naked karate a reference to Apocalypse Now?
I always assumed it was
1
3
4
2
the others don't count , should four even count ?
That's the case for the entire series though.
Die Hard was originally a book called Nothing Lasts Forever.
Die Hard 2: Die Harder was originally a book called 58 Minutes.
Die Hard with a Vengeance was originally a script called Simon Says.
Live Free or Die Hard was originally a script called WW3.com inspired by a Wired.com article about cyber warfare.
I think A Good Day to Die Hard was the only one not based on something else which is probably why it is the worst kek.
4 was decent, it could have been great even if it had been a hard R instead of PG-13
And 1 3 2 4 is the correct order. 5 does not exist in my mind
I thought 3 was originally a Lethal Weapon movie?
And of course Speed was originally a Die Hard movie
1 > 3 >>> 4 >>>>> 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> being a basketball american in these movies >>>>>>>>> 5
I think they considered giving Simon Says to that franchise but decided on Die Hard instead.
Funny how things turn out
1. Harlin had to follow up on a smash hit done by the visionary genius John "The king of 80s action" McTiernan
2. I don't think Harlin, Wood and Willis understood/cared for the strenghts of Souza's incredibly campy writing (for an example of it working: see Commando)
3. Harlin is a very mediocre director to begin with
The adaptation of Nothing lasts Forever into the Die Hard script is one of the best (if not THE best) book-to-screen adaptation ever. They changed just enough to take full advantage of the movie medium. It's an even harder task than making a 100% faithful adaptation.
Iirc, Die Hard was originally going to have Arnold and be a sequel to Commando.
Die Hard is the better movie, but Lethal Weapon is the better franchise (no bad movie, good and consistent character arcs, satisfying last movie).
That was one of the ideas. The original idea was to have Sinatra reprise his role from The Detective (Nothing Lasts Forever is a sequel to that book and The Detective was adapted to the screen with Sinatra in the lead role) since in the book the character is old and it's his daughter, not his wife, that he tries to save. But Frank felt too old to do an action movie so he said no. It's at that point that they thought of Arnold and Commando.
