This year has been fucking horrible for me, haven't been able to keep up with releases as a result. What do I need to hear (aside the obvious ones, looking at you p4k list) this year, mu?

Looking for personal favorites, all genres allowed, hit me with that good shit.

Fucking awesome year for music down here in Australia

The Jezabels and Delta Goodrem were huge albums for me.

Here, have my personal 2016 top 5.

So many good releases down under this year.
Don't forget Skin by Flume, Honey Bones by Dope Lemon and Telluric by Matt Corby

Cowz II - Tim Allen Firing Squad (2016)

>49 seconds of Phil Elverum rapping over a familiar sample
>a bold new direction for an Bosnian LGBT group typically known for free improvisation
>living proof abstract/conscious rap rock is still alive

Oh cool I actually didn't realize Flume was Australia. I was pretty surprised by that album. I should listen to it more.

lolocaust

I think his debut was the better album but his new one is still good.

Sunflower Bean - Human Ceremony was pretty nice, as was Car Seat Headrest - Teens of Denial.

I would also Give Mild High Club's album Skiptracing a listen, as with Orb - Birth and Slaves new album Take Control

Here are the ones that caught my ear

Show Me the Body-Body War
Emma Ruth Rundle-Marked for Death
Sound of Ceres-Nostalgia for Infinity

I basically got obsessed with Sunflower Bean for awhile. So pissed I didn't get to see them on this tour even though actually played at least 5 times including the festival which I think accounted for 4 of those. Did you know she was a runway model? Have you checked out the singles for the new Cherry Glazzer that comes out next month? Kinda similar vibe.

Glazerr excuse me

Sunflower Bean make great music
Haha no I didn't. Can see how she could be tho
Didn't know that either but I will definitely check em out.

PUP: The Dream is Over

Its obvious, but it's all that matters to me.
