Mad Men 1-Year Anniversary

The Mad Men finale aired 1 year ago today. What is the show's legacy? Where does it among the greats?

Also, Mad Men General.

Up there for me with the Sopranos and soon The Americans.

I meant "Where does it rank among the greats?" but I'm a fuckup.

...

Only behind The Sopranos in terms of quality. They're the only two shows that I really "miss".

>The Americans.

Is this actually good? I've watched three episodes and it seems to literally be: spymission of the week.

It starts off like that but its way, way different than that by the end of season 2 and through entire seasons 3 and 4. Gets mad good later on too.
It's not a police procedural so it doesn't really have good ratings.

The guy who really created the Coke commercial also coincidentally just died. What kind of black magic is Weiner up to?

>What is the show's legacy?

Pretty funny joke on Kimmy Schmidt.

miss that fantastic rack

Megan's was better

>Pretty funny joke on Kimmy Schmidt.

it was (didn't see it coming at all)
Karate!

Best episodes?

>The Suitcase
>Waterloo
>The Strategy
>In Care Of
>The Crash
>Marriage of Figaro
>The Wheel
>Commissions and Fees
>Christmas Waltz
>The Jet Set

I was always partial to Red in the Face for a Season 1 episode.

the last one is the best

The season finale of Season 1 was great, with the carousel

>Sopranos
>Wire
> MadMen

The holy trinity of TV dramaturgy.

...

>"True"

...

...

I also liked in the later season when we actually got to see Roger use his social skills to land Chevy for SCD&P. He always was an amazing account-man (I'd say even better than Pete) he was just lazy.

BEST VIDEO EVER !!!!

What was up with those nomad people in California? They were weird.

The Jet Set is probably my favorite MadMen ep.

But "would you say I know something about you, Don?" is my favorite gimmick.

I couldn't stand how in Season 7 part 1 Don was being fucked over and had a fucking boss.

Neither could he.

how much did coca cola pay for it?

that shilling was awful. why do americans love commercials so much?

Bait.

Puttnam, Powell, and Lowe fag detected. Fuck off back to McCann

>reply within 1 minute when I called out shilling from coca cola

impressive. not obvious at all

...

>What is the show's legacy?

Great reaction images.

Yep.
Currently on my 4th rewatch desu

the look on her face

>"Take your hat off."
What did he mean by this?

...

...

Which ep?

Too weird to be mere coincidence desu senpai

To take his hat off in the presence of a lady.

Ladies Room, Season 1, Episode 2

Get out.

but it's true

...

I liked Megan desu

...

...

...

...

>Where does it among the greats?

Makes me fall asleep like nothing else.

...

I only watched the first season, should I finish this?

...

How old are you? Because this is important.

>people rank Mad Men alongside The Sopranos

>it's a "very good, happy christmas" episode

25

Love that episode.

God that kid was the fucking worst.

Then yes finish it. Enjoy the ride.

Megan's body was relatively garbage 2bh

What did he mean by this?

I'm 25, and by he end of the first season I thought the show was ok. By the end of the second season I liked the show a lot, and by the third season it was my favorite show. So I would say that if you like the show at all by the end of season 1 its worth it to keep going.

You're garbage desu family member

THE KING ORDERED IT!

Did anyone in the entire series get BTFO harder than PPL? I can only think of Duck at the end of season 2 being comparable.

>Can I have some of your hair?

I kept expecting an /ss/ scene desu

Seen her naked. She's 10/10

Shitty soap opera for housewives who want to fuck don

I wanna cry

I liked her

she's no high test queen like christina mctitties

An exact time? I scanned through the episode but I cant find that scene.

>literally being forced to wear skimpy clothes by your agent

holy shit this world is ruthless

wish this aired on HBO

As much as I liked the show I doubt that it'll have a long lasting impact desu

Me family

>it's a pete campbell tries tried to molest a 16 year old he meets in driver's ed episode

Still 10/10

HANDSOMED

>it's a pete watches that girl get fingerblasted in class episode

The Jet Set was when I realised I was watching a truly remarkable tv show.

Did Sal ever get off?

best episode right there

made me go from hating Pete to sympathising with him

t. beta cuck

jane is so beautiful

it would've been worse if were on HBO IMO

I think the whole "sexy but no nudity" thing is more effective in general, and it's definitely in keeping with the time period.

hated her character though

she looks like a 60s Bond Girl

People will remember it for a few more years then it will be forgotten.
