Why was this album so overlooked? It's their best release since Amnesiac. Easily top 5 AOTY and my personal number 1

>>>>>>>>>It's their best release since Amnesiac
Because its not that good.
The crescendo finale at the end of Burn the witch was the only good thing
They're irrelevant now
They've gone the way of AnCo
>Band popular in the late 90s, early 2000s, starts releasing lower quality material at lower frequency, no one gives a shit anymore
There's your answer for both this and AnCo
>It's their best release since Amnesiac
Maybe that's the problem
idk. i was listening to it today and kinda wondering the same thing. its really good, but its really really soft. i guess it just doesnt solicit the attention that kid a and ok comp do.
its a very subtle album, thats probably why.
burn the witch and daydreaming are fuckn great. the rest tho.
i might even prefer king of limbs now that i've learnt to love Bloom.
>best album since amnesiac
that is batshit crazy. in rainbows is equal to OKC and KID A
you're so wrong and the funny thing is you're pretending like your opinion matters
agreed. it's up there with in rainbows. felt like i was ready to listen to it the other day, went through it and felt like every song was a masterpiece. listening to songs like glass eyes and present tense make the singles pale in comparison
It's pretty good, my personal AOTY
definitely in my 5th spot just after OKC
this is easily one of my favourite records, but i do think it's highly forgettable.
live version of identikit was better imo but still a solid album
Starts off really good. Burn the Witch and Daydreamers are the 2 songs that really make an impression. If you get the bonus, Spectre is also a pretty good ending. Otherwise it gets progressively shittier as you listen along I think.
As for the reviews, they probably didn't pay for them, that's why you're not hearing about it.
true. If people consider Kid a radiohead with idm influence, AMSP is like ambient influence almost. Idk. I can fall asleep to it tho (which isn't a knock)
like the pianos on enos music for airports. or the closing piano track from aphex twin's syro
It's boring, they're old. I can't come up with an actual criticism for it, there's nothing wrong with it, it's impressive, even. But it makes no lasting impression. Radiohead finally hit critical mass in regards to their coldness to greatness ratio
I don´t know what it is. The album is very solid, yet it is not impressive. Radiohead is one of my favorite bands, and yet I didn´t feel thrilled listening to this. That said, the other day I had my heart broken, and two days later "Present Tense" came up randomly on my ipod while I was walking on the streets and I couldn´t help start crying.
it's the same kinda of album as skeleton tree,
made by a person / group who are well past their prime, and it comes off as trying way too hard to maintain their relevance. in 5 or so years nobody will be talking about them, because they do absolutely nothing new or interesting.
Because it's underwhelming
IMO the album was fantastic, a solid 9/10. Its an absolutely beautiful album. My favorite off of it is Present Tense, its just the album was far too over hyped. People expected the musical equivalent of the second coming of Christ for LP9. Alot of fans didn't like softness of the album. Alot of fans expected all new material verses long awaited studio versions of songs like Present Tense, Ful Stop, and True Love Waits. I personally didn't mind and I really enjoyed the album
After my first few listens of AMSP I thought it was almost as good as the holy trinity of Ok Comp, Kid A, and In Rainbows but over time my opinion of it has just gotten worse and worse. One of their more boring releases.
>overlooked
more like forgetten, deservedly.
Same thing happened with "mbv" when Sup Forums wouldn't stop sucking its dick for the first month of its release
After seeing them live this tour, Ive come to the conclusion The King of Limbs was a much better album and era in the history of Radiohead.
Their setlist and energy is so weak this time around, it made me see that these songs just aren't that good.
Except Ful Stop. This shit is GOAT. No wonder it cacme from the same sessions as TKOL
Bitch, I will kill you. Skelly Tree is fantastic.
Its not overlooked. There are at least 1-2 active threads about it per day & has appeared on most year end lists
it's their worst album
I would listen to it more if their lawyers didn't wipe it from youtube
why not just listen on Spotify for free?
because it's not pop
Its radiohead second best album, after IR. Every song is amazing and diverse from eachother
>that taste
strongly consider killing yourself
2nd best radiohead
the worst song on the album is burn the witch and the best song on the album is true love waits, obvious your post is untrue
