Thoughts on this record? Why isn't this talked more in Sup Forums?

its spammed everyday
lurk moar

anyway 99% of the discussion is "it sounds good"
bet you can't tell what chords they are using for each song

it's more or less universally loved so there isn't much to say about it imo

>bet you can't tell what chords they are using for each song
are you implying that's what should be discussed here?

>woah solo in d mixolydian so experimental and jazzy

Prove It is best song
Title track is overrated

No one praises the album because it is >so experimental, >so jazzy, though.

it sounds too dated to get into

It's a perfect album, from start to finish, why make fun of it?

Highly influential early post-punk album.
What else is there to say?

>Marquee Moon
>dated
Lel, other way around

It sounds better than most albums released today

It's proto-Sup Forumscore baka

I REMEMBERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

the actual question is why no one ever talks about their other albums

I know right.

It's funny my mum really likes Adventure but has never listened to Marquee Moon

damn you sound so much smarter than me can i suck your dick user???

Their follow-up is depressingly overlooked. It's not as good (obviously) as Marquee Moon, but the songs and writing are solid as hell. A bit depressing and more serene than MM

Because if they post it with the intention of discussing it someone will inevitably remind them that it's dadrock and Cheap Trick is better and this will make people angry.

Maybe because it's just a Velvet Underground rip off. A GOOD VU rip off mind you but a VU rip off all the same.

Something tells me you haven't heard either albums

Fucking how?

I call them The Good Strokes

It took me some some time to get into (mainly because of the vocals), but now is one of my favorite post-punk records. Great guitar playing throughout the album.

I also like Little Johnny Jewel.

>comparing bands of different genres
>power pop better than post-punk
haha oh you

I actually really enjoy Tom's whiny vocals. I get that he's really not that great a singer, but I think his voice actually fits the album very well
