yes, yes it is

got bored of watching it around that episode nate and his kid's mother go camping with that other couple

and that dexterxdoakes subplot was pretty gay

Season 3 really picks up after that episode IMO.

yes

I miss this show

bump

really hate that stupid slut Nate dates

The crazy one or the cute one?

they are all cute and crazy

Six Feet Under is the last of the generally-agreed-upon television classics I haven't seen yet. What am I in for?

Feels

One if the most emotionally gripping shows ever but very diverse. Truly one of the best shows ever. If you can watch this series and not catch the feels you're not human. Also the best finale ever.

this

I could still put on the ending scene any time and start getting emotional

>nate dies
>dexter gets kidnapped
>the ending showing everyones eventual death

the only 3 things i remember
was a pretty good show, but not kino

The mom is an insufferable cunt.

If you cut her out, the show would be god-tier.

There is nothing to compare it to.

It isn't as consistently good as some of the other greats, but it will bring more feelable feels than any show ever made.

How does the finale stack up with the finales of the Sopranos and Mad Men? (I would throw in Twin Peaks as they're my three favorite shows but that's kind of apples and oranges with respect to the former two.)

Every emotion there is. Just watch the first episode. It's a really good gauge for what the show is like. No "it gets good later" bullshit. It has some dull points but it's still extremely good all throughout.

It just as perfectly fits the show as Mad Men's ending does (which I think uses that show's format better than the Sopranos, although I understand it's arguable)

no
its actually an overrated, underwhelming piece of shit show that relies on emotional manipulation
shows like The Sopranos and Mad Men are miles better than this one

Puts em to shame. Every last feel you could wring out of a person and have never heard anyone say a bad thing about it's finale unlike the two shows you mentioned.

Kieths ending makes me cry everytime

The undisputed GOAT series finale

Literally every show and movie relies on emotional manipulation. That's the entire fucking point.

>they are all cute and crazy

Lisa is not cute she looks like a meth addict 24/7

>everyone dies at old age from natural causes
>except for the black guy who gets shot to death in a robbery

POTTERY

I disagree. Ruth on ecstasy was one of the best episodes.

>Nate died on his way to Quaker enlightenment

Goddammit. I love Nate and sympathize withe him so much, but I'm not sure I can ever forgive the fact that he planned to just up and leave a pregnant Brenda and join some ridiculous religion just because it was easy.

brenda detected

>You can't take a picture of this, it's already gone.

Goddamn I would love to see Sup Forums's reaction to Brenda, Ruth, and Claire by todays standards.

>relies on emotional manipulation

Oh, you mean all story telling ever?

That was always Nates biggest flaw. Always trying to do the right thing when he just wanted to run away from it all and live a carefree life. Then he finally realized that doing the right thing never brought him happiness and just decided to say fuck it and be free. Then he died.

I'm not convinced that becoming a Quaker and leaving Brenda for Maggie would've brought him lasting happiness. It was just something new that caught his attention and was easy for the time being.

I really love this show, but the only thing I didn't like about it was the ending.

It wasn't bad, and I guess it fit the show, but I didn't really feel like it added all that much.

Which is why his vision as he died was so perfect. He was finally free.

Honestly can't think of any TV death that bummed me out more than his. I loved that character and his demise was so random and unfair, but that shit happens in life all the time which was obviously one of the major themes of the show.

Fuck I gotta rewatch this now.

Well you're wrong

>not liking Ruth

Here's your (you), you.

I think she was a very realistic character, if not necessary likeable. Her reactions to David's homosexuality were so fucking authentic in a way I've never seen again on television or even in movies

>very realistic character, if not necessary likeable
>authentic in a way I've never seen again on television or even in movies

This is a good way to describe pretty much the entire series.

It's good enough that I can forgive some of the terrible daytime soap-opera storylines from the later seasons.

And the acting is top tier throughout the show.

I always wished Nate was the gay one because I fucking had and still have one of the biggest crushes on him. I cried when he died :*(
I miss him senpai :*(

>ywn be guilt tripped by brenda chenowith for getting angry at her for cucking you

just die in my sleep already

The best show of all time hands fucking down.
Pure kino

Christ Brenda and her brother were such absolute cunts, they made me angry every time they appeared on screen and they worsened Nate and Claire by proximity. Eventually I ended up kind of liking them begrudgingly though.

>Brenda
>cucking Nate

Other way around. Not only did he cheat first, he totally left her to raise his kid from another woman.

>It's a Brenda is a huge whore and blames it on her parents episode
>It's a David having another fagshenanigans-fit and generally acting like a degenerate episode
>It's a Ruth overreacts and acts like a bitch over something trivial episode
>It's a Claire having the worst possible taste in men ever episode

I really enjoyed Mad Men's finish and thought Sopranos was okay. Six Feet Under had the best finale I've ever seen. It hits you in the gut with a fucking jackhammer. A few episodes from the show are spectacular, but it wasn't consistent enough to be top tier with The Wire, Sopranos, Mad Men, etc.

Season 3 is the low point of the whole show imo

1 > 5 > 2 > 4 > 3

I got stuck about half way through the final season. It just feels like constant filler, with the drama being even more pointless than usual. Maybe I had just had my fill of it or something.

I liked that one dude that pretty much right away called out Claire on her constant goddamn sarcasm and unnecessary pessimism. Too bad she didn't take it to heart.

>The mom is an insufferable cunt.
true , she was unlikable most of the time but i think necessary .
i think you need unlikable characters for a truly great character driven show .as long as the show doesn't constantly remind you this character is likable and you should relate to it while its being an insufferable cunt\idiot .

you should have unlikable characters but you should explain and develop them\their reasons for being the way they are .

Why is life so hard, bros?
