Here is the Irish script which is titled seanchló or old from in English. It used to be the standard method of handwriting in schools prior to the 60s.

irish will probably be irelands future in the eu... since EU will most likely loose english as a official language when GB exits the EU

so they get shit of the eu parliament not translated in engish but in irish... quite funny if you consider that most people in ireland arent that fluent in irish-gaelic

The UK leaving the EU does not mean English will lose its status as an official language, there would have to be a unanimous vote to remove it.

This was the standard German handwriting - being associated with Fraktur - until 1941, when Fraktur use was discontinued by the NSDAP because Fraktur is based on "Schwabacher Jew letters".

real life example

I can barely read Fraktur anyways, this is just impossible.

I have to say that looks like lovely handwriting. Is it your own?

yes, it's recycled from an old post
It's not that clean though imo.

>tfw I wrote in the Seanchló during the entire leaving cert year
Must have looked like such a cringy larping fedora. Thankfully the teacher loved me because I was fluent and nobody else saw, but it's mortifying to think about.

nice.

Germany cucked again by nazi autists. Well, we're just as bad we got cucked by fucking typewriters, which are completely irrelevant now

Bhí Gaeilge líofa agat?
Scríobhainn in seanchló chomh maith, ach níor úsáid mé é san ardteistiméireacht.

Gael bump

This is my favorite Japanese poem.

What does it mean?

Is the photo sideways?

...

「いにしえの
奈良の都の
八重桜

けふ九重に
にほいぬるかな」

Cool

looks medieval as fuck, i like it

It means like this!

Yes, I'm sorry…
I don't know why the photo become sideways.

Thank you!
This is the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu's poem.

Fuck me

>german cucks mad they will still have to speak english in the EU without any English countries

I like how the old Mongolian script looks. They apparently still use it in China, but the cyrillic alphabet they use in Mongolia looks awful

Lord of the Rings tier

A lot of medieval writing, particularly in England, was influenced by the script used by Irish missionaries.
