Well abstract visual art of the early 20th century also had its counterpart in music - it's when composers started making more and more abstract music to the point where it was literally bashing two things together, random screams and terrifying sounds and other non-coherent sounds mixed together. Same as in visual arts some artists just started splashing random colors and objects onto canvas.
So yeah, that sounds like "post-music" to me.
