I like Shpongle. Used to be 80% of what I listened to when tripping. The playlists for my last few trips have been very varied, thought. Some examples:
Aphex Twin (pretty much only Flim cuz that shits beautiful), Bonobo (mostly his first two albums. they have a nice atmosphere and always puts me in a good mood. I don't know it just works.), Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd (kinda cliche I know but it works), Shlohmo, Gold Panda, Teebs, FlyLo (trippy beats are nice), FKA Twigs (sounds like a godess on psychs)
I've taken LSD more than any other psychedelic but last few trips have been on 2C-B

I haven't tripped in some years, but Shpongle was my go-to when doing so. Especially with DMT, their music took me many places. One trip with "Dorset Perception" took me to a middle-eastern desert type place.
Lots of Grateful Dead too.

Yes. Especially if LSD is the only psychedelic you've ever done before, you would find it to be very much like LSD. 2C-B is closer to LSD than mushrooms, for example. It lasts shorter (5-6 hours), and it's a bit easier to handle than LSD. I find that I have to take quite a lot of it for the visuals to get interesting though, which is weird because everyone is always saying that 2C-B is visual as fuck.
It's definitely unique and worth trying imo. I do like LSD more but acid trips can be so long and mindfuck-y, that sometimes a shorter, slightly less confusing trip on 2C-B can be nice. I have had some very meaningful experiences with it too.

Don't understand how Shpongle avoided the hate directed towards Tool and Phish. Maybe it's because they're not a rock act.
Ott has a pretty similar sound, but since he's also on Twisted, you probably already listen to him if you listen to Shpongle.

yea the body load is weird. at 35+ mg it becomes pretty strong but it's not really that uncomfortable or anything. The LSD body load can get uncomfortable sometimes and other times it's perfectly fine (I don't know if this depends on the quality of the acid and what not).

I can't really stand Schpongle for whatever reason -- I guess their psychedelic undertones are waaaaay to heavy-handed for me. I'll normally listen to just about whatever I've been spinning recently and enjoy it greatly while tripping, but I tend to almost always spin Lateralus, Sunbather, Isis, and Ben Frost every couple of trips, especially on 4-AcO-DMT (which is my psychedelic of choice). On phenethylamines, though, I seem gravititate to bassy hip-hop, R&B, techno, etc which I *very* rarely listen to while sober. I've also tripped more than once with a Basinski record playing and found the experience incredibly soothing.
