>GOAT edition >starts thread with a picture of a drugged out guitar hack ???
Christian Scott
Go gray or go home
Carson Watson
>he doesnt own a gibson Keep playing your 80 dollar epi from best buy and pretend its good
Adam Rogers
Any recs for a great looper pedal? Just for bedroom use, doesn't need to be super high quality. I'd like the best bang for my buck as far as my needs go.
I usually read user reviews and google things up (and I have) but I want to hear it from you guys.
Aaron Sullivan
u cant call a guy who basically wrote half of rock canon a hack m8
nice try
Charles Mitchell
Do you want something with a bunch of dials and settings or just a basic stomp?
Jordan Allen
Nigga, I've got a 1000 dollar Ibanez and a 1000 dollar Tele.
I don't need your Gibson trash.
Hunter Torres
> tfw finally figuring out how to use my new audio interface
I have a Jamman Solo XT and like it quite a bit, but people around here seem to prefer the Ditto loopers. I'd say it depends on what features you want. Do you want to be able to save and store loops? Do you want the ability to record loops longer than 5 minutes?
Josiah Allen
>1000 dollar >ibanez
Kevin Rogers
>price=quality
Nicholas Mitchell
Pretty loud. I think you might be clipping a little bit.
I wanna play sick 70s rock solos ala running on empty, led zep, etc. where do I start?
Owen Torres
Start with running on empty.
Jace Scott
do you have a guitar?
Owen Gomez
Copy Rory Gallagher and Jimmy Page and Pat Travers solos or something and muscle memory and your own ideas of what licks you like will kick in and you'll incorporate that shit into your solos.
Maybe.
That stuff is usually pentatonics sometimes with an added 9th or 6th.
Hudson Cook
I asked this in the other thread, but should I get the epiphone sheraton ii or the casino? Rec me some other guitars with nice hollow body design/shape
Lucas Wood
black sabbath - first 6 albums
Oliver Hill
>Bought new guitar >Open it and dad grabs his acoustic I got him years ago >Didn't take to it because he had no time >Start showing him some chords >A week later see he wrote chord charts out
It reminds me when I starting learning and was obsessed to learn more. Feels good to share playing music with him.
Justin Adams
do you already have a p90 or bucker guitar?
i'd say get the casino cuz youre more likely to pick up an LP later that will have humbuckers.
Thomas Peterson
Play your guitar like a saxophone.
Adrian Gomez
Goddamn I am torn between >the blackstar ht club 50, >egnater tweaker/rebel >the bogner alchemist
I have found some decent prices between all off them, and liked the sound of each of them. Which of these do you think is more versatile, or just straight up better?
Nolan Smith
No I have an SG
Jacob Nguyen
T E I S C O
Justin Lopez
how though
Brayden Young
You get what you pay for.
Daniel Mitchell
It was actually 850, but with the case and tax it came to 1000
Nah just an attention whoring, mentally ill Israeli weeb
Dominic Scott
What do youse guys use to tie up any loose excess cable hanging off the bottom of your board?
Nathaniel Williams
cable ties
Evan Brown
I just use twist-ties.
Andrew Wood
Is Sup Forums here now too?
Chase Phillips
Doesn't the metal in those cause electrical infetterance?
Nicholas Ward
We all Sup Forums now
Austin Sanchez
Couldn't say. I have my amp/pedals/interface right next to my computer, so any excess noise/hiss I assume comes from that.
Adrian Reyes
Yeah, you need to build a faraday cage first
Aaron Cox
>not using tone ties
Justin Evans
>not making your own tone ties from the hair of fallen geetar heroes
Brody Sanchez
Looks fun, what's above the memory man?
Luis Hughes
Beginner here, I've noticed my biggest problem with chord changes is that I place each finger on the fretboard one at a time for certain chords which is obviously a no-no but when I try moving them all at once they're just too retarded to do it all at once
Do you know of any good exercises to help this?
Brody Adams
Thinking about grabbing one as well. Sounds like it would be awesome for swells/pad sounds if used with a long tape delay and modulated reverb.
Elijah Evans
Trying to self teach on base but this book completely fucked me with the latin names of scales, can anyone help with pronounciation? Ionian (eye oh en ee an?) Dorian (doh ree yan?) Phrygian (fer gee yan?) Lydian Mixolydian Aeolian Locrian
Caleb Price
Real tape delay?
Jack Williams
Are amerishartlets really this dumb?
Michael Flores
>base *bass
Cameron Stewart
please stop
Jeremiah King
Those are modes
Aaron Ward
Practice slowly with a metronome. Gradually increase the BPMs when you get comfortable.
Julian Stewart
come on guys, i have no idea where to go for this kind of shit
I really want one but I'm gonna hold out for a cheap deal on CL or something. I don't think I'd use it enough to justify spending $200. Either that or I'll have to settle for a B9/C9/Key9
Angel Brooks
Pretty good
Asher Richardson
>LOCK-ree-in >not LOW-kree-in
William Brown
I dont even know anymore
Ayden Myers
slowly practice this exercise with a metronome. Play the chord, then play a muted chord (lay hand over fretboard) then play the chord again. it forces you to take your hand off and reposition over and over again.
another one I do is play the chord then take my hand off and slap my thigh then play the chord again. its such a huge movement away from the guitar I have to quickly get back and get my fingering down right
Do what you gonna do, but maybe look into learning Major and Minor scales before getting inti those modes.
Dominic Bell
thanks user, i appreciate that
this is when i memorise these names by heart and get laughed at when i try talking music with another fag because i got le tricced right?
Isaiah Nguyen
already got those down which is why im moving on to these modes, are chords important to learn if im just using scales for practice and not writing music?
Dominic Peterson
>he thinks the people who hate Gibson would buy an Epiphone Are this a meme or are you stupid?
Charles Young
>a-OLE-ee-in
more like ayy-ol-ee-in
Nicholas Smith
Learning what intervals are involved is more important than the names desu
Samuel Martin
more like ayy-lmao amirite?
Luis Sullivan
>intervals w-what, the book doesnt mention intervals
Chase Williams
Once you understand scales building chords is a breeze, they are just built on different intervals of you scales. Might as well learn both at same time
Jacob Fisher
>can't tell if you're making an ayylmao joke or misinterpreting what was supposed to be a long A as a short A sound
That sound is hard to notate without phonetic symbols. Ayy or Aye more often get misinterpreted as a long I sound
Grayson Carter
While step, half step..distance between two notes
Eli Thompson
I want to start a noise rock fuzz funk band, but everyone in town thinks Im fucking crazy.
Joshua Evans
*whole
Wyatt Johnson
Oh. Did /tg/ bring musicians who know shit or just more idiots?
Sebastian Smith
Modes are scales as far as I'm concerned.
Christian Gray
...
Sebastian Sanders
How's that Doom Bloom? Always meant to try Tom's pedals, do to know what circuit it's based on?
Sebastian Torres
I was just joking tbqhfam
Carter Parker
Me too, just pointing it out for user.
Christian White
Is that a hot rod deluxe or regular blues deluxe?
Wyatt Allen
Joking has no place in phonetics. It's a very important subject
Wyatt Parker
...
Hudson Foster
>using the actual alphabet for phonetics >caring about pronounciation for latin
Noah Hughes
locrian is lo-cree-un
Liam Bennett
>implying using the phonetic alphabet would help anyone at all The people who know the phonetic alphabet wouldn't need help on pronunciation
Elijah Miller
get the casino
Jason Allen
How long has /gg/ been this shitty now?
Levi Phillips
Probably since 2014. I went through a handful of threads in the archive last week. I forgot how nice this place used to be
