>minimum wage
absolutely disgusting

They should *actually* try Communism. What do they have to lose?

IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOOOOOWN

To put this into perspective, 3 years ago 1 million bolivars were worth around $155,000. Now it's 1 million to $250

wtf that can't be true.
ours is like $600 USD

>there are people on Sup Forums that don't understand inflation
Sad!

Tu ru ru ruu tu ru ru tu tuuuu

explain

>tfw it probably still wont be enough for most people to afford their basic needs
What a fucking shithole...

I was talking about the general concept of minimum wage, not Maduro raising it due to inflation

That's a bit wrong actually. Oops

>communist country
>can't control inflation by banning price increases

venezuelan bolívar is dropping in value like sack of rocks. raising the minimum wage is useless if the currency is worth nothing.

funny, poles seem to have no problem with minimum wage when they come here to work.

maybe Sup Forums was actually right this time
really made my cerebrum sprain....

what is it about the concept of minimum wage that you find disgusting?

My question is they've seen what happens when you go socialist/communist in other Latin American countries over the years and how it's fucked their countries but they chose to go with communism anyways. Eastern yurop had an excuse in that they were practically forced into it but these guys went and did it by themselves. Why?

Well the fact that I'm in Poland and not in Finland might help then?

It greatly increases unemployment and slows down growth

>It greatly increases unemployment and slows down growth

how?
it just ensures that you are paid a certain amount if you are not educated.

>Why?
because "muh henerall" personality cult

>It greatly increases unemployment
lol wut??

Because dumb Indians and dumb Mestizos and dumb Africans will always vote for you when you give them a Choripan, a coke and maybe a new refrigerator.

I'm no political genius but it probably has something to do with businesses not being able to afford to pay everyone a higher wage. Same shit is happening here in the states with fast food joints going full robot

>tfw traveling to venezuela in august

i am going to swim in venezuela pussy

People whose job is worth less than minimal wage can't work.

>not wanting all unskilled jobs to go full robot while all the poors die in the streets

seems like a win-win to me

Problem with minimum wage is that it's near impossible to define proper level for minimum wage, especially if its industry wide.

Also generally minimum wage via increased worker costs are then transferred to goods being more expensive, eventually resulting in same result as before. If you want to even out income inequality, taxation (or tax breaks ) is more efficient method of moving wealth from the top to bottom.

ayy lmao, neoliberalism
there's no such thing as a "job worth less" unless you really REALLY want to generate poverty like does
but yeah raising the minimum wage only gives free card for the market to raise prices. as an anti-inflation measure, it's quite a stupid move

it might be because you are already dead

>ayy lmao, neoliberalism
Indeed, God bless
>there's no such thing as a "job worth less"
Yes there is, people without education doing easiest jobs. Let the market establish a wage that pays what they deserve.

Don't forget to bring your own bottled water. Most of the place, this shit is controlled. You only can buy a x amount.

You sound like an ungodly abomination of a libertarian and a neoliberal

>doing easiest jobs
but the Congress has the best paid wages. something's amiss here

I guess I am

Looks like you're just a libertarian

do you really believe a free market could ever be a good thing if the end state of a corporation is monopoly?

Time to invest in a Venezuelean wife

Dumb Canadian. Venezuela got bankrupt because government control their price, they literally import food.
businessinsider.com/venezuela-forced-labor-2016-7

In 2018, Bolsonaro will win the election and invade Venezuela, giving most of the lands to Bolivia if they agree in hang all FARCs members.

>the Congress has the best paid wages
I don't understand?
I meant jobs like janitor :^), overweight guard, cashier in a shop that has one client per day, etc.

Yes, the markets nowadays might be vulnerable to monopolies but by decreasing the red tape, regulation and promoting innovation it can be avoided.

That argument is usually made by american retards with zero contact or knowledge about wage negotiation or basic concepts like consumer price index and such and then parroted by useful international idiots who try to apply american standards to their own countries.

The whole argument is based around an erroneous assumption that minimum wage hikes are done arbitrarily with absolutely no consideration from employers, unions or taking the general economic situation into question when in reality incremental changes are rarely big enough to have a major effect.

Funnily enough at least in funland the bigger problem is the rigidity of labor markets and even low salary employees having too much job security. No one wants to hire an employee if the economic situation is unsure and there's a risk they'll have to dismiss them if the going gets rough since they'd be looking at months of severance payments and other fun little punishments for daring to hire someone.

Which is why companies would much rather outsource their employees with work rental services and short work contracts, never full time employment.

Literally Heterodoxical economics in action. Looks like Maduro forgot about the 1980s.

>decreasing the red tape, regulation and promoting innovation it can be avoided.

Wouldn't lead to more monopolies as current existing corporations would obviously be in a better position to use the advantages of the changes?

Our situation is simple though. And even economists agree this is a common hole in usual economic theories. Salaries aren't elastic when going down, unless it is done via massive inflation.

In my opinion no. The fact that they have more capital is their advantage but it's not a blocking factor for other players to enter the market.
Oligopolies would be much more probable but I think they wouldn't be as resilient as nowadays.

>actually get more money here doing nothing
F

You can get a woman in any country of the world with this gay ass flag. Why chose one which will give you deformed and manlet kids?

>If you want to even out income inequality, taxation (or tax breaks ) is more efficient method of moving wealth from the top to bottom.

Yeah, but then they cry about socialism or something. In any case, minimum wage is a nice ad-hoc solution to the sticky wages problem, though unfortunately it's not too effective when it can't be applied to specific industries.

Per day? Per week?
I assume it's not the hourly wage, because that would be insane.

This is industry specific. Certain industries (mainly infrastructure) is too prone to monopolies that it would be overall better for society to control that monopoly, not to mention the other benefits it has.

Why would I bring bottled water when I can buy soft drinks and everything there in the restaurants?

youtube.com/watch?v=-JhQ_MyppNw

>communism works...
For those who still don't understand hue, those are Venezuelans coming to Brazil (2 days buss) to buy food, because state food doesn't work.

>I can buy soft drinks
Because the only beer you will find there come from another country and is overcharged as fuck. All the brewers in Venezuela became bankrupt when the government force them to put a low price in their product.

You never visit a restaurant in a commie country, right? There is nothing more than staple food...

Is that in Boa Vista? I'm going to fly there from Manaus this summer and then cross to Venezuela.

Lack of elasticity in wages when going down as such isn't really as big of a problem as people make it out to be though, and I sincerely doubt things would change even if the triumvirate (employers, unions and government) suddenly agreed to get rid of minimum wage all together. The change would only apply to the lowest of the low income employees, and they are at best marginal cases like immigrant cleaners. There wouldn't be a general compression in wages or a sudden miraculous economic recovery based around the fact that instead of having to pay the said floor cleaner 10€ an hour the company can now pay her 2€ an hour. Not that anyone else except illegal immigrants would actually work for that kind of salary.

Yep, pretty shitty city.

Also, don't fuck people in Manaus. Manaus prostitutes are a nice way to get AIDS.

Here is a idea of pussy tat you will be "swimming".
youtube.com/watch?v=5q9U-erds2I

Another thing, you will come here in northern summer, our our summer?
Because your summer in the north of Brazil is hot and rainy.

lel why would I pay for sex with brazilian girls when women literally throw themselves at the white man?

anyway my plan is to make it slowly upwards to Caracas and the other big cities.

Minimum wage jobs aren't the problem though, they aren't the backbone of our economy. It is during 2007-2009 when wages went up because everyone thought eternal growth was well, eternal. This growth was mainly to experts and higher end jobs, especially heavy industry. But a Finnish paper mill worker isn't that much more efficient than an Indian one.

You have to remember, we have minimum wages for high end jobs as well.

i will come in august

If you think about from the perspective of the employer the nominal wage of the employee is always somewhat higher than what the employee gets. In other words as long as some form of taxation of mandatory insurance is involved the employee that gets say 10$/h can cost something like 14$/h to the employer.

Now if the minimum wage is set too high the kind of employee whose labor input isn't worth the price that the employer has to pay becomes unemployed, can only work under the table. Those kind of people are most likely young and uneducated, meaning minimum wage can work against the most vulnerable part of the workforce.

beta leftist faggot

>be german
>be white
>go to caracas
>get killed

why in the world would one voluntarily enter venezuela... the absolute mad man

godspeed dude

How naive

why would i get killed there? it's not like i'm going to run around the slum showing off my iphone. the city center of caracas is probably the same as in bogota rio or other cities.

>the city center of caracas is probably the same as in bogota rio or other cities.
Sure! Why wouldn't be?

Dumb ger"man"poster

Well, but you will still have to face the dangers of traveling the country by bus, or are you going to take a plane from brazil?

Anyway, Bogota also has unsafe zones in the center, e.g. la calle del Bronx.

Again, the effect wouldn't be major even in other salary groups. Higher income employment is not as organised as lower income or even middle income and it's already for all intents and purposes internationally competed. A drop in minimum wages wouldn't matter that much in that category.

When it comes to middle income there are a lot more variables that determine wages other than just minimum wage. Taxation, retirement payments, cost of living and people just wanting to be paid a competitive wage would still inflict a lot of pressure on employers to keep up the status quo. And with zero control over the currency there's not much the government can do to cushion the drop in wages even if minimum wage was removed.

those are not easy jobs
easy job is sitting on your ass, sometimes sleeping while the country is going down in flames and only shouting "I VOTE YES" when your leader requires you to bark
so again, something is amiss here
you gonna tell me being a CEO that only signs underneath what people sweat weeks thinking and what workers will produce later is a """""hard""""" work?

You would not get killed, but some soldiers in the frontier may ask for bribe. Don't forget to buy some reals (brazilian currency), or bring a bag full of cigarettes.
1 real = 520 pessos venezuelanos.
Hope you like to sweat under rain.
You would not get killed, unless you let yourself be lured by some girl to a slum.

I've been everywhere in South America and also Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador and the rules are the same everyhwere. The city center is safe if you don't act like a dumb tourist. Taking taxis to tourist attractions just increases the safety. Do you honestly think Caracas center looks like a war zone? Don't believe stupid propaganda Norway

Fuck off, I read through a lot of reports and everybody said there's no problem getting food just that you always have to eat out. It will be more "expensive" but still dirt cheap for you.

rude tbhfamalam :(

>city center of caracas is probably the same as in bogota rio or other cities
Actually is more safe. Since Venezuela is under martial law, the streets are full of soldiers. Just don't be retard when a clash between police and hungry Venezuelans start. You will be beat by both sides!

The only danger traveling by bus are military checkpoints that want bribes. No gangs are targeting busses because they know the people don't have any money.

South and Isla Margarita are completely safe. Cities like Merida, Valencia and Maracaibo don't have more homicides than cities in Cali for example. Also the homicide rate in Venezuela is greatly exaggerated by the government. Real homicide rate would be around level of "unsafe" cities in Colombia.

When are you going? Don't need a specific date, just want to know when to check the newspapers for the news of your death.
And the best part is that I'm not memeing you, but if you are dumb enough to go then might was well sit back and watch you get burned.

Sup dude, can you read the tips that i gave to our german crazy friend, and correct me (if needed)?

I never went into Venezuela, but had a few cop friends that get to Caracas for sex parties.

He will be safe if he run away when the protests tarts. Some people pick their phones and start to recording. next thing they realize, they are in a hospital blind because someone throw a rock in his face.

I'm flying into Rio on August 1, will spend a week there and then on August 8 I have a flight to Manaus. Will do a five day jungle tour there and then take a bus to Boa Vista. Chill two days there and make my way to Santa Elena. Do Mount Roraima, then take bus to Ciudad Bolivar to see Angel Falls. Then to Barcelona and Caracas and the other cities and attractions on the coast. Will fly home on October 15.

Well i am sure i will hear about your voyage

be safe

I strongly advise to NOT come here. If you really want to fulfill some kind of wet dream to come to south american countries, and choose Venezuela above all, then I suggest to go to Merida, Valencia or the elite high places like Lecherias in Anzoategui. Forget about Caracas, and don't even bother with Maracaibo. Also, Margarita has been going to the shithole lately, not even the high standing hotels have vital stuff like water and toilet paper.

>Will do a five day jungle tour there and then take a bus to Boa Vista.
You really want to get a airplane to Boa vista. The trip looks small, but is more than cross Germany north by south (+ jungle roads). And you will get bored without internet (no 3g cover at all!).
Also, the worst part will be Rio de Janegro. The rest is pretty safe.

If its only travel, go ahead. A friend's cousin came from Italy and did almost the same route as you.

Also, when in Manaus, try to find a german guy that own a bar. I know him (but will not post his phone), he can take you to fish in a nice spot and play airsoft in the jungle.

Why? I sincerely don't get the dangerous vibe as you and I know that 99,9% of the violent murders happen in the slums. As a tourist I will only travel around the city by taxi and never walk, so there literally 0 chance that someone robs me unless I do something stupid.

I like long bus trips desu always have interesting people on the bus and you get a sense of really traveling and getting to know where you are.

Any south american girl with >white skin will do. Maybe not 150cm but 165cm and above.

>I like long bus trips desu
Ok, go to any super market, and buy a flipflop. (not a white one with blue rubber, only criminals and construction workers wear those). You will need a light cloth because is fucking hot inside the bus.
You also will want to wear a light short. A very lose one. And maybe some under shirt (sleeve less).
And for fucking sake, don't forget the mosquito repellent. We still have malaria!

If i remember another tip, i will post.
Try Uruguay, at less most of the girls there know where Switzerland is.

I said that thinking you wanted to come live here but realised that's not the point, so go ahead. Just be wary in general though and make sure you hop on the taxies on reliable places, airports, taxi lines, etc. Watch out for bikers and have a good, safe trip

Godspeed, madman
Learn these words by heart: "les daré la plata y el celular pero por favor no me hagan nada"

Damn
At this rate everyone in Venezuela will be rich.
#Respect
#StayWoke
#ResistWhiteCapitalism

>"les daré la plata y el celular pero por favor no me hagan nada"

they would still kidnap him

Thanks!

How high is my chance to take home a Venezolana qt with me like at 2:33
youtube.com/watch?v=tlKsgYMoQrw
?

no my friend, with that beta behavious you alway lose. my response is always that one:
chupame la pija malparido huevon yo voy a violar a tu hermana tu madre y matar a toda tu familia si me tocas. y ahora andata o mejor matate ya, hijoeputa de mierda

>Watch out for bikers
Ohh yeah, good tip.
If you see someone driving a bike and the guy in the back don't wear a helmet, enter in the closes building that is open.
This kind of robbery is really popular in South America.
Pretend to be Brazilian. Venezuelans kind like us because they buy all their food for cheap in our markets.

Are girls like at youtube.com/watch?v=tlKsgYMoQrw 6:46 commun in Venezuela? Because she just looks like a regular German girl. I know Venezuela has a history of European immigration and also a German town but I have no idea how many are still left?

>Venezuela has german immigration?
yes
>they stil there?
no, most die from malaria. The rest leave the country when the empire fall.

When it comes to women is really hit and miss. The one you posted seems to be middle class, so she won't instantly jump on your dick, but will most likely find you interesting since you come from abroad and will likely want to know you/be with you/show you around if you are a likeable guy.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonia_Tovar
This si the closes you will get in Venezuela.

I know I was wondering if I will stick out a lot if I have similar hair to the girl posted and blue eyes or if there are a lot of people with light brown hair like. in Brasil

Eh, when it comes to race its kinda diverse, we mostly have brown/mixed goodness of course, but there's always some pretty pure white/pretty pure black looking woman here and there. They arent that common, but they are there.

>light brown hair like. in Brasil
Only here in the south and parts of Southeast.
North looks exactly like Venezuela since most of the population is native.

If you are white with light hair/eyes, you'll stand out, people will look at you but pay no mind. Once they hear you talk though, that's when people will notice you the most.

Ah ok thanks. Well I will see in any case I will go to see Roraima and Angel Falls and that should be perfectly safe right?

>The autosomal DNA genetic composition of mestizo population in Venezuela, is 60.60% of European contribution, 23% of indigenous contribution, and 16.30% of African contribution.
>Whites and European Venezuelans represent almost half of the population (43.6%).
>Black Venezuelans represent 3.6% of the population.
>5% Arab
>2% Purely Indigenous

seems pretty diverse brasiubruu

I worked three years in Bogota. Is the accent very different?
