I felt exactly the same between 2007-2009. I HAD to listen to Tool every day, its the closest thing musics every been to a drug to me. Now I hardly ever listen to them, but I still understand why Tool fans are the most annoying fanbase, because there's something about their music that really fucking takes hold of you when you're into it, and its particularly successful on teenagers. What that hold they had on me, it was pretty much gone by 2012, I'm not sure I even care if they ever put out a new album, whereas circa 2009 it was the only thing i wanted.
