Geoff Johns to replace Snyder as head of the DCEU

JUST

Could this be the DC's Feige?

I don't give a shit anymore. DC movies are unsalvageable.

This.
Reboot when?

It's already all set up for a reboot.
>Post-apocalyptic future
>Barry runs back in time to prevent it
>Ends up creating another timeline

And Johns is the reboot-man

>needing a Feige to shadowdirect every flick

Marvelfags are anti-art plens

This way they can keep actors and things that worked

I just mentioned this in another thread and I will say this, I don't particularly like Johns as I think he favors certain characters and flat out doesn't understand others to the point of negligence , but I trust him more with this than the people that WERE in charge.

If I were to have a dream team though it'd be Wade, Busiek and JMS

yeah bring on superman 8 and batman 9 with new actors. make them origin stories too, we haven't seen enough of that shit yet

>implying they need origin stories to reboot

Geoff Johns was heavily involved in Green Lantern.

>tfw Normalfags are going to ruin Kino

Did anyone complain about Civil War not having an origin story for spidey?

You don't need an origin story for heroes whose entire existence is ingrained in popular culture. My 60 year old mother who has never read a comic book knows Superman and Batman's backstories. You don't need to waste time on that shit.

>dcucks

He has a hand in The Flash which shat all over itself this season so it doesn't seem a viable solution to me.

>mwf in 20 years ZS hero films are seen as the golden age of classical capekino

He can't even write a good comic book anymore, and that's his actual job

Snyder wasn't at the head of the DCEU anyway.
They had no real division for DC until now.

We should not blame Snyder when it's the script that's the problem. Remove Goyer and pull inspiration from the comic book pages.

>didn't even lose his hair to Kryptonite exposure
>instead it's shave off for LE realistic reasons

this movie was an absolute travesty, and I was hoping it would be fucking amazing after the first trailer.

>In the reboot, Flash goes "This is a reboot, right? I mean...i'm back...in the future, right? so to speak...cause...wait...i'm too late now? ooh maaaan"

>believing this meme

The editing was the biggest problem, and Goyer just made the initial plot, which was basically Man of Steel 2. It was severely rewritten after he got kicked to include all the JL bullshit.

MoS and BvS were Superman living through the Darkseid's Omega Sanction. JL begins with his coming out of it into a world that looks and feels much more like the DCU fans recognize instantly.
There. Just fixed the DCEU. All it'd take it probably 10 mins.

Nope. Just a throwaway line of "something happened 6 months ago", he was an absolute highlight of the movie to me.

The scene of Bruce's origin in a dream sequence was so fucking pointless in BvS. It was absolutely not needed at all.

Capeshit is an anti-art genre. Just use it for what it is worth: the feel comfy generation of revenue to invest in actual art that brings statues home to the studios.

pointless and intrusive

>starts decrypting data
>suddenly in the middle east with a machine gun fighting alien mosquitos

oops, ignore me
I was talking about the other dream

It seems slowly they're trying to get rid off Zack.

The damage is done. Leave it be, start over by focusing on lesser known heroes or at least ones who never got a chance at the spotlight.

>The editing was the biggest problem
As someone who works in post, you don't know shit about editing.

Geoff is pretty good . I'm just happy that they got rid of the guy on the Flash. He has no actual talent

>reboot
Just make a fucking movie. Normies don't care.
Don't even have a cinematic universe ...DC characters are better on their own anyway.

>Justice League filming under Snyder's ''vision''
>Wonder Woman too
>Suicide Squad doing reshoots due to BvS
>Aquaman getting completely rewritten
>Flash lost it's director
>Cyborg apparently cancelled
J U S T
U
S
T

Series already hit it's peak with MoS, it could get canceled tomorrow and I wouldn't really care.

...

Is Screenrant Sup Forums approved? Like VLC I'm too used to it to change to something else

The fuck does a postman know about editing?

It's okay.
They don't seem to have any SJW vias and such, and the comments aren't completely retarded.

The worst part about Wonder Woman is that it's release is getting sandwiched by Pirates of the Caribbean 5 and Transformers 5.

Good. Johns was in charge of Green Lantern and it was much more enjoyable than Snyder's flicks. Also, Johns was involved with Arrow before it got bad.

>Implying the cereal master isn't going to elevate the DCEU to it's true kino potential

>Johns was in charge of Green Lantern and it was much more enjoyable than Snyder's flicks

Based Johns, living the dream

>Wonder Woman gets spitroasted and bukakked by pirates, giant robots, and Will Smith Bad Boys 3

True.

At least it would make me get a boner for the skeleton.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

SNYDER BTFO

>people getting uncomfortable because he took pictures of cereal boxes
wut
fucking america

AHAHAHAHHA WOW

that and the fact literally no one even cares about Wonder Woman, she was absolutely terrible in BvS, and looked terrible. Literally random women with a sword. Little girls don't even give a fuck about her, if they saw Lynda Carters Wonder Woman they'd be running around pretending to be her.

>putting a cereal eater in charge of the DCEU
JUST

those dreams were pointless too and edited terribly. they held no weight to them at all, I couldn't believe how choppily edited BvS was.

How they could sit in the editing room and think "yep that's done" is beyond me.

Well it was fun while it lasted.

No it wasn't.

never thought id root for capeshit, but i hope W beats transformers, thats a greater evil

The last two Transformers movies made around 1.1 billion.

I liked em

Great news! I can't wait for the quips, camp, and """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""fun""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" XD!

Your time has come, Snyder.

He's busy directing, makes sense.

The media is painting it as if he's getting kicked out, but they already have plans for more Snyder DCEU films.

>Johns

Well, if they people thought they were shit before, they're in for a ride.

I liked all the times people who professed to like MoS called "fun" a buzzword that not all movies needed.

>edited

People only care about wonder woman because it's the only female superhero they can name.

I liked it for the imagery and action and tonal seriousness tbqfhwy familia

...

And there is nothing wrong with that, but after 3 years of MoS posts, you might be the first I can recall who unironically described it as "fun."

Yeah, me too.

Also, was Snyder ever head of anything besides the JL arc to begin with?

Beautiful.

Well
It was also kinda fun

holy shit that's perfect.

maybe we can get a proper Lex too while we're at it.

And now Wonder Woman is going to teach the magic of anorexia and having no emotion in their faces at any time.

Snyder: Too much work, I want to see Batman getting raped. that's REAL.

If Snyder does a JL movie, it should be this one. He can't handle non-edgy capeshit.

ITT: well-poisoning.

Too true. I'm sorry I was brazen enough to think I could be a better capekino maestro than you, sempai.

aw shit dcucks resorting to looking up fallacies on wikipedia. now you know shit is getting desperate.

Good. Snyder is good for visuals ONLY.

Yeah, just go look at all the threads micro-analyzing Disney's decisions and putting their own spin on them. Can barely keep a legitimate film discussion afloat for all of them,

You just KNOW this was his idea

Caramel Crunch was bretty gud T B H, Didn't try Chocolate Strawberry, because I'm not ready for that.

there's Marvels way of making comic book world, or Nolan's Batman to make normal world.

Then there's Snyder's TRADITIONAL comic book movies, by people that just work for a paycheck.

Why was Green Lantern seen as such a bust, it was maybe as bad as Spider-Man 3, but in light of the recent movies that was golden.

I don't know. It was meh and the villains were terrible, but it had the right tone, at least.

I would rather watch GL again than BvS. At least it was funny-bad, like Batman and Robin. BvS was just... dull.

Personally, I hated it because it was the most transparent attempt to date to mimic the Disney treatment that the MCU has already received. They tried to fit Hal Jordan into Tony Stark's on-screen persona.

It was shit.

animated bacon suit, too whimsical and miscast lead, literally the worst thing to happen to GL in the comics is the main villain.

The only reason this didn't happen sooner is because his boss is his wife

Darkseid destroys the current DC universe and then the new movies take place in a new universe.

It was ugly to look at. The main character was unlikeable. I legit fell asleep in the last half hour.
Also what this user wrote

People keep claiming 'if WB/DC just made movies in the same tone of Marvel/Disney they'd be popular!' but Green Lantern was that attempt and it was terrible.

>Guy who wrote BLACKEST night

Can't wait till Cyborg pound Lois Lane in front of Superman

>Dawn of Capekino they said
>Marvelcucks on suicide watch they said

I just rewatched man of steel on fxx and it's so much worse than in the theater.

the DCuck reddit community seems to be accepting capekino
reddit.com/r/DC_Cinematic/comments/4k4nz9/bvs_mankind_is_introduced_to_the_superkino/

So the DCEU is just going to keep softly rebooting itself until it strikes gold?

>Mark Wade
Pls dont pretend you read comics

you don't remember the previous hulks, that was fine tuning, and even then ...

I spelled his name wrong. It doesn't change the fact that he's an amazing writer if that's what you're implying. His Flash is probably some of the best the title has ever been.

What I don't like about him is how he changes the characters to make them suitable for his stories.

I'M BARRY ALLEN. I'M A COP!

Yes but that was just one movie, it wasn't meant to be the kickstarter of a massive cinematic universe. The Norton Hulk is still canon to the MCU, they just switched actor.

>Geoff Johns Wants DC to Include More 'Hope & Optimism'

>"There's a lot of emotional underpinning of the characters and the stories," he shared. "It's not that people take it for granted. They’re just not as aware of it. But when it's not there, you really feel that emptiness.”

Well, he might be on to something. I've seen Holocaust movies with a more positive outlook on life than BvS

That's how you do it, you don't START with Captain America, you start with a smaller one, should have done a second green lantern and tweeked it
