Oh, wow, I actually didn't know that Radiohead was named after a Talking Heads song.

Godsmack is the first that comes to mind. They didn't even pick a very good AiC song as their name

In Fear and Faith.

>Boris
>Death Cab for Cutie
>Ruins
>Big Country
>Judas Priest
>The Rolling Stones
Examples of the reverse:
>Boredoms
>ABC
>Negativland
>The Sisters of Mercy
>Stiff Little Fingers

Another example in the reverse. Crass.

And Judas Priest and the Stones were actually quite solid desu~

Yeah but Muddy Waters and Bob Dylan were much better, I'm not saying those bands were bad, just named after superior artists, in some cases it's just due to consistency or more great material

Like Neu! had two great albums and a short career and are certainly very influential but Negativland had more great albums and were a more trailblazing band in their own way

Agreed on Crass

You know the Rolling Stones predated Highway 61 by a while, right. It's a common phrase, "A rolling stone gathers no moss."

Judas Priest is named after Bob Dylan

Rolling Stones are named after Muddy Waters

Try harder next time

Negativland

Kooks

Weakling, although I prefer them to swans. I just wouldn't call them better
