How is "The Exorcist" a "religion-based movie", you moron?

Noah's pretty good.

>being this fucking retarded

I perfered the reimagining by Zack Snyder

Nah

The Gospel According to St. Matthew

You must be mentally impaired if you think that "The Exorcist" is a religious movie.

To be fair I can see where some people might not consider it religion based since it's more of a horror movie than a movie about a religion. It's like calling Alien a movie about science when it probably fits more in the horror category.

How are demons and preists and exorcisms not based in religion?

>it's not about wacky bible adventures so it's not religious
The exorcist is the only good religious film ever released.

The central conflict in the film isn't about saving a girl but a priest regaining his lost faith.

What is Count of Monte Cristo?

some of us need more from a movie than a man being beaten for 2 hours.

Ben-Hur was better.

>old decrepit shit
Grandpa go to sleep

top ten, for sure
these, plus
>Jesus of Nazareth
>Andrei Rublev/Zerkalo/Stalker
>Tree of Life
all give it a run for its money

actually its tree of life, OP

1. Demons exist regardless of religion.

2. The fact that some of the main characters are priests does not make the movie itself, nor its story, religious.

there's a remake. Not sure how good it's going to be though.

>decrepit
it was shot in 65mm you worthless dumbass

Go back to your capeshit, pleb.

>Not Robocop

How is Mirror and Stalker religious? Don't you mean The Sacrifice?

The Believer followed by The Last Temptation of Christ would be my top choices, but "religious based films" is pretty fucking broad and open to interpretation.

Most of you fags were probably too you to remember when this came out, but it was as close to a modern day nonviolent Holy War as you could get.

All the Jews and the media were against it, but I went opening weekend and it was sold out every showing for like 3 weeks.

>>Andrei Rublev/Zerkalo/Stalker
how easy is this to understand and enjoy? I'm pretty dumb

This. The Tree of life is GOAT

maybe you should watch them again
Mirror is about Tarkovsky's identity and its close intertwining with the Christian faith
Stalker is about the tragedy of secularism
Stalker is a linear plot and the themes in the movie are all expressed in dialogue, alongside the cinematography. You can't miss anything if you're paying attention

Incredible soundtrack too

I was in 7th grade and heard about Jews complaining about their depiction in passing. I can't even begin to imagine all the nasty words they said.

Andrei Rublev is an art film but still has a grounded narrative. Mirror is Tarkovsky's most challenging. Stalker is as shallow as Seventh Seal.

hurr it has priests and cgi demons in it so its religious

wasnt the protag a canon faggot though?

Everyone really seems to hate that movie and I don't know why

Urr durr dis moving piktures is make by our mens rite hero, Australian Mel Gibson. Iz gud by default.

It was pretty bad, user.

Terrible plot, bad pacing, bad acting and a load of ridiculous shit that made no sense. It was mediocre even compared to capeshit standards.
