>still upload shitty jpeg pictures to internet
Fuck no
>fibre optic penetration
>japan
>Chile higher than France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium
hhmm
>same as US
on US defense most of our fiber infrastructure was made 10 years ago as a form of intranet for the state's electricity company.
t. telecom engineer
more like texts.
you also wouldnt care bout the speed, if you were japanese, unless you were a heavy torrent user.
>jpeg pics are good for our flip phones
u got to make a contract with a fiber optic int. provider
there are some bottleneck and not as fast as you expect
>beaten by Poo Peeland
It's easy to top this list for a country whose main population lives in large buildings getting plugged in. The most impressive on this list would be the country with the most percentage of population living in detatched houses in europe, yet ranked among the first on this list. Latvia and Sweden are semi-commieblock countries, so they are almost like Japan and Korea.
>2017
>2/3rds of Norwegians still don't have fibre optic internet
Lmao, poor souls, we've had it since 2004 here in the south, my parents got it in 2006.
What is fibre optic, is that a special type of internet
>tfw always lived in a poor part of the city so every area but mine has fibre
Japan(2013): Flat 42.4%, Semi 2.5%, Detach 54.9%
(flat is increasing)
>lightugal
you ar third world tier by internet and road standards
get over yourself
Portugal yes
meh, I'll take being #1 in Lat Am any day
but seriously wtf is it with Germany, Austria and Italy? They're below Colombia ffs
Meh. It's alright.
internet at my dorm
...
so which connection do you use there?
350 down for 32e/month
>lower than fucking Australia
Now what do I make fun of them for? Not having trees?
most greks use Ote but this ISP has been banned
thank god i dont use that one(cuz it sucks)
24(10 in reality) down plus some other benefits for 25 E
JUST
what should i be taking from this
>Spain is top 15
and to think that i had 10 Kb/s just 6 years ago...
>mfw spoiled 100 Mbps kiddo
>can't ever go back to 5 Mbps and think "this is fine"
ping and routing are shit in EU for some reason tho
the best ping i ever have is 20-30 in PT servers
>my country doesn't even appear in the graph
I'm ok with my connection though
ours is probably like 14-16% now
I don't know why it's dwindling so much
Everyone here who knows the thing wants it
I mean we're a rural country in a way but cities and their periphery aren't completely covered
I'm pretty sure the incompetent German government has given up on supplying the countryside with fast internet. At least there are LTE flatrates now.
>Turkey 17.6%
>Germany 1.5%
wtf
>(< 50 mi)
Disregarded.
Might as well test speed to the server 5 meters away from you.
...
yanks get fucked
ok, here you go
That's pretty consistent. They are limiting your speed artificially.
God of nations at thy feet
>poland bag us for shitty internet
>we have more fibre optic than them
JAKUB BTFO
>NBN
I don't even understand what you're saying.
I'm paying for 10 Mb/s and that's what I'm getting.
I don't care how they do it or whatever.
Here most people have access to fibre, but we already have 150/15 on the old system so no real need to switch
also we will be quite a bit higher now, in the process of home fibre installs
Who gives a fuck about poorfag options.
You can get much better internet in your country than shit you got.
Doesn't matter if its enough for you.
>Who gives a fuck about poorfag options
uhm
M-me?
I'm a working class guy, there's like 100Mb/s packs and even though I can afford them it's a waste of money that I could use for something else, since 10 Mb/s is way more than I actually use/need.
pls Ivan, this is fine by me, I don't mind a poor man's internet connection.
I demand an answer
Kill me
I cannot game like this.
The saddest part is that this is actually a vast improvement over what I used to be stuck with.
...
Forgot pic
>(44ms
jesus, there's something really wrong with that m8
Shitty rural DSL
You can get actual cable closer to the main road, and fibre optic if you live in town.
But my shitty local government-sanctioned monopoly cable company can't justify the expense of running real cable out here when the population density is so low.
Could be worse. Until a couple years ago I was stuck with literal dial-up.
>he doesn't know
Currently Estonia is working on a plan to get fiber optic to closer than 1.5km for 98% of the population by 2018. My tiny village also got the cable last summer.
just tell me
I gave up gaming a long time ago because a it
they are the country that pays the most for it
in some places you can get gigabit speed for 70$/month but in others you are stuck with shtity 10 Mbps or less for the same price OR MORE
internet companies are almost a mafia in USA
My shitty DSL costs the same as faster "basic" cable does in town. $30/month.
Just build it yourself. Or are you some communist East German who needs the government for everything?
thelocal.de
>visited germany last month
>people used fucking yellow pages in 2016
>LTE flatrates
Wo?
Satellite internet that isn't as much of a ripoff as it usually is.
I only get around 7mb with a download speed of 2mb if I'm lucky, though my ping is often good at around 10-20.
Damn didnt know we were so behind everyone else, I always had a decent speed.
I actually have symmetric 300Mb/s but I'm using Wifi.
>tfw 4ms in csgo
It trully feels good.
>Turkey
I'm actually surprised
It's a bit late but I'm satisfied enough.
Who needs fast speeds.
I just upgraded to an unlimited broadband plan. I can DL/UL as much as I want each month for only $80.
>Germany
SAD!
1. Australia
2. No we made the mistake of voting in a centre-right party funded by Rupert Murdoch
I got fiber to my house though. Suck it.
>4ms in csgo
a man can dream
What he said.
Assholes still limit my speed artificially though.
wait, actually what's the point of fast internet in korea/japan if you can't torrent?
Sadly, no.
My Computer Networks professor once explained to us during a lecture that it's because our shitty old commie telecommunications moloch of a company fucked with the modernization process so that they didn't have to invest the money. There's no reason for it except those entrenched, monopoly-holding, too-big-to-fail dickbags.
but we can
ah good then. i thought the law was much more draconian for copyright theft
>that cable management
