How would you rate your country's archery tradition?
How would you rate your country's archery tradition?
15/10
>Not just throwing a stick at things
not bad/10
They are seen as feminine weapons for as far as the iron age
bows are a dishonorable weapon for dirty peasants and *nglish"men"
come at me, perfide albion
Although arbalests are ok
gj darrell
doesn't exist
Are you guys still assblasted over Agincourt?
Nonexistant.
Only savages use bows over here. This is more our style.
>longbows
>not overrated
0/10
>This is the weapon of a Samurai. Not as clumsy or random as a gun; an elegant weapon for a more civilized age.
...
You mean our shooting cannonballs tradition.

Why korea gets all archery medals in the olympics? step it up senpaitachi
maybe for knaves
Agincourt was an inside job
No way *nglish"men" could ever defeat a french army in a fair fight
>2017
>bow
idk man why not fucking sling or rock throwing.
The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth started to decline after it lost a huge chunk of Ukraine following a cossack revolt.
Every day is cannon day.
Why shoot bows when you have guns?
>tfw Bohemia was ruined by the Smelly Dumb Habsburg Scum
wtf...
we really ought to ban east asians from the olympics
Gonna go a bit assburger here, but pic rel. also during the uprising we fought a war with Russians, and by the end of it the Swedish deluge happened as well.
>iktf
By that logic, America won the Vietnam war :DDDD
Also, the Russians declared war on the Poles because the cossacks asked them to.
>t. city faggot
Bullshit.
Injuns were archers until they got wiped, and then bow hunting became popularized in the 20th century.
Im not saying we won the uprising, just clearing things up, since while everyone here knows about the Vietnam war, nor everybody knows about the Chmielnicki uprising, so I wouldn't want people to base their opinions on memes.

Not really prominent as kris and spear but we're already do it since Srivijaya's era.
And when Islam comes in it was rise on popularity because of "prophet's sunnah"
Archery? Nah, our focus was always on mêlée combat. Even when gunpowder weapons took over, they would only be fired to soften up the enemy for the charge.
When the first firearms came out, the archery became nonexistent here.
I've posted lisowczycy, not hussars, fatty. Completely different unit.
Pretty bad.
We did have some based stuff
Like pic related
Basically 11th century ship versus ship battle
King with his men, against some Danish fag
Basically best archer loses his bow after it gets sniped, so King gives him his bow
and as Einar said
"Too weak, too weak, the kings bow is"
And hence they lost the battle
So, where's that..
>killing unarmoured peasants with a 9 metre long lance from horseback with full plate armour is """MASCULINE"""" to frenchies
It was painted as dishonourable all across Europe for a long time, even when the long bow was prevalent in Britain it was still seen as bad and lower class. Purely because it means a shitty knight can get killed by peasants
>a shitty knight can get killed by peasants
'no'. The english archers weren't peasants and a longbow didn't kill knights, not even at agincourt
what are non-full plate (of which knights were largely equipped with until late medieval period) and gaps in armour and while they might have been more professional later by and large they were peasants. Peasant doesn't mean you're unskilled. Do you think knights and other nobles of western euro used bows in combat?
We hate archery.
(I like it, tho)
>still
We never gave two fucks about HYW, lad. Only Englishmen are obsessed with this (lost) war desu
Our natives must be pretty good with it.
we use blowdart
>How would you rate your country's archery tradition?

The tradition is absolutely dead, but the tribes were tits at it.
