Michael Keaton In Final Talks to play villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming

So everyone's thinking Vulture, but he's got to be J.Jonah Jameson right? He's basically a nicer version of him in Spotlight.

Wasn't he already out of the project? I'm confused.

Who cares, no Oscar for him.

I thought they wanted him to commit to multiple films? I doubt the Vulture will be in more than one movie so he is probably Osborn

It was reported that he was in, then that he was out, and today he's back in. I fucking hate film journalism

I hate to acknowledge that but I prolly gonna check it out solely for Keaton (I'm not really a fan of Spiderman). I cannot not love the man.

Which is true. They offered him the role, he didn't want it, they offered it to a bunch of other people, it didn't work out, so they went back to Keaton with more money, and now he's in.

They must've offered him a Jack Nicholson playing Joker-esque millionaire deal for him to go back in.

My take is that Keaton thought "why do I wanna be in a crap reboot" but then watched civil war and was like "woah i take it back this is actually pretty decent".

This is exactly how I felt. Holland really sold me as Spiderman after I saw CW whereas beforehand I was hell not into the idea.

J.K. Simmons is now Gordon in Justice League.

>They must've offered him a Jack Nicholson playing Joker-esque millionaire deal for him to go back in.
You mean they Robin Williams-ed him by Jack Nicholson?

Can they do a Deadpool like thing where Birdman exists in this universe as a film and when Keaton appears on screen u get the Avengers cracking jokes on how he looks like the Birdman actor and Keaton keeps saying "I do not look anything like that old chunk of meat!".

Be super hilarious

Mysterio

Oh that would be plain genius if they did.

YES

This reboot is gonna be kino if a love interest is not in the movie.

Just have peter's friends, keaton and aunt may and tony as the main cast.

Wow asshole, just like that uh?

If that's your criteria, youre an idiot. All great kino has a love interest.

>*thick mexican accent* Wooow Michael... aftel all le dings I zid fo yous, yous gong baaack to le superherro moveies?!"!"

What a hack

>Birdman playing a Bird Man
MAKE IT HAPPEN

THANKS A LOT FOR REVIVING MY CAREER SENOR CHUPACABRA!!! HAHAHAHAHA! SEE YOU LATER, "AMIGO"!!!

God I hope not

He was the worst thing in Robocop 2014

>george_lucas_poetry.jpg

>mfw Batman vs Spider-Man

Yes pls.

>but then watched civil war and was like "woah i take it back this is actually pretty decent"

Hahahahahahaha

He's doing it for money. Nothing but lots of money. Like every other actor on the capeshit mealticket.

Explain me why exactly I laughed from your post.

Getting rid of Ike Perlumtter was the best thing Disney has done for Marvel

Why would they hire an actor this old and famous for a thing like this? It's a movie every three years and the salaries get outrageous. Then after three movies, the guy has aged 10 years and wants 80 million a picture and we get a shit fourth film MAYBE. Just why. It's not like he will be the focus of the movie or that most people will see Spiderman for him. But it'll probably get that way.
Just seems to be a bad idea.

>His greatest hit is being a capeshit hero
>Discarded and unwanted he teams up with Inaburrito to make whats essentially a critic of capeshit, about Hollywood blockbusters and its decadence.
>Gets praise and money
>Goes back to capeshit

IƱarritu in suicide watch. They played him like a damn fiddle.

WHO GAVE THIS SON OF A BITCH HIS GREEN CARD?

Close-up of Keaton's happy face?
"Senor Chupacabra"? "Amigo"?
All caps?
I don't know. Comedy is a blessing. You've been blessed. Don't ask why.

You're welcome.

I find this odd too, with them casting a 12 year old spiderman youd think the plan is to milk this ofor a long long time.

Maybe he dies early in the franchise, who knows.

>Why would they hire an actor this old and famous
This is how literally every single A-class capeshit movie is made, from X-Men and Batman Begins. Or Burton's Batman. Or even Superman with Hackman and Brando.

>hire an actor this old
The Vulture is an 80-year old man

It's you who's out....out of your mind.

>Washed up actor need to be relevant decide to fight inexperienced superhero.

Mysterio's Origin Story right there

Mysterio is a special effects guy, he was never a professional actor

i doubt its vulture. disney veers away from magic and stuff thats way to close to magic mostly with marvel movies.

harvy birdman atrorney at laws bird is a machine in civil war not a psychic bird . thor isnt the god of thunder. the mandarin wasnt some guy using magic alien rings. fing fang foom wont ever be in a marvel movie

a guy draining life force from people is too hocuspocusy. hes probably mysterio or something

>Why would they hire an actor this old and famous for a thing like this? It's a movie every three years and the salaries get outrageous
He will not get three movies, he is playing a MCU villain.

>disney veers away from magic and stuff thats way to close to magic

They're making a Dr Strange movie.

>Birdman best movie
>Spotlight best movie
>Michael Keaton in both

holy shit. Spiderman Homecoming is going to win best picture FUGGGG

Spideyfans, enlighten me, is the Vulture even an A-list rogue, or a secondary villain?

First of all, Dr. Strange says hi.
Second of all, Vulture has no magic, he's a mechanic who created a flying harness that also grants him super strength.

>a guy draining life force from people is too hocuspocusy.
Third of all, that life force thing only happened during the 90s and the cartoon, it hasn't been used since and there's no way they'd use it here.

What's the best Keaton performance?

I liked him in Batman (he's a bit of a psychotic killer and is a weirdo as Bruce Wayne but it's okay), Jackie Brown. Birdman was interesting but all this supernatural stuff was unneeded crap. Beetlejuice was gross though.
He's part of Sinister Six but he's pretty lame to me.

>implying Keaton would be low enough to do cqpeshit

A-List.
He's the second super-villain Spider-Man ever fought and he's a founding member of the Sinister Six.

He was big enough to be Raimi's original choice for Spiderman 3, and then relegated to his planned 4th movie after the studio forced Venom on him

???

someone post the webm of Keaton putting away his Oscar acceptance speech. Always gives me feels, he was robbed.

dailymail.co.uk/video/news/video-1162242/Moment-Michael-Keaton-puts-acceptance-speech-pocket.htmlIt's pretty hilarious.

>Mr Mom is Batman? This is outragous!
>Arguably the best batman till Batfleck who also isn't held back by a new kill rule.

thats depressing
youtube.com/watch?v=5tbX51D6cJs

So he could be:
>Vulture
>Mysterio
>Chameleon
>Norman Osborn (doubtful, Marvel confirmed the villain would be new)

>J.Jonah
why try to fix what isn't broken?

youtube.com/watch?v=WNPg_grI40o
>laugh track
>rip off of the American Dad episode

>Mysterio
>"I can be anything, A bat a bird or even Spider-Man"
>IT'S SHOWTIME

His most famous role is Batman, the biggest capeshit hero of them all

>Mysterio

the nigga with fishbowl head?

Yeah, the only ridiculous-looking spider-man villain

Yeah that's the one. He could be a good Mysterio.

yes, it's something Spider-Man pokes fun at.

I wouldn't mind Keaton playing JJJ, though no one can replace J.K.'s portrayal. At least TAS2 had the sense to now show JJJ, you know Sony would have miscast him horribly.

To not** sorry

Best villain
youtu.be/K1MZIU_feIk?t=40

Vulture might be to much stunt work for Keaton.

you can take the man out of the capeshit but you can't take the capeshit from the man

Yes

>tfw Bruce Campbell will never play Mysterio

This.

They should give him a blank check to come back for this. Maybe some extra scenes too.

They want Keaton bad. Probably offered him a shit ton of dough.

You have Robert Downey Jr. and Michael Keaton in a Spider-Man movie, that's guaranteed billions.

Anyone else hyped as fuck for Spider-Man and Black Panther movies?

>Black Panther
You mean Nailsman? His superpower is scratching you with his nails.

>DUDE FIGHTING IN NEW YORK EVERY MOVIE DUDE I LOVE SCHWARMA

please die. having futuristic high tech shit in a jungle in so refreshing.

>le nailsman new epic maymay Sup Forums gold not from reddit tho XD

fucking pathetic

He's probably playing Norman Osborn.

>My take is that Keaton thought "why do I wanna be in a crap reboot" but then watched civil war and was like "woah i take it back this is actually pretty decent".

Is this bait?

I kinda miss wizard and those toyfare theater strips.

Kill yourself. He's a token black superhero with no interesting powers.

I'd rather see a Falcon movie than Black Panther. Nailsman is one of the few heroes who's actually weaker than Cap in every way.

They said it's a villain that hasn't been in a movie before

The main villain of this movie is Vulture.

Osborn will be the bad guy behind the scenes over multiple movies, played by Keaton.

Keaton is in talks for Norman Osborn. Latest rumors are that Mark Rylance has been offered The Vulture.

Keaton was Disney/Marvel's first choice. He told them to fuck off the first time, then they bought him off with d-d-dat CASH FLOW.

Literally the opposite of Batman Forever where DC/Warner Bros. were willing to pay him a shit ton of money to be Batman again and he told them to fuck off because he thought it sucked.

bp has beaten up silver surfer before so there

I'd buy that for a dollar.

>he has an opinion on MCU BP
>didn't even watch Civil War

he's literally a super soldier with an indestructible suit and class made of vibranium that's just as strong as wolverines adamantium who has super human bodyguards and resides in a massive jungle inside a high tech facility

u pleb

He's an affirmative action superhero with generic athleticism and nails.

Not claws.

Not a sword.

Not even a shield he can throw.

Fucking nails.

He literally has to get within three feet of someone to hit them.

>using Vulture instead of Kraven, Scorpion, Mysterio or Beetle

No. Capeshit fans actually think this way. They're retards and children. And retarded children.

...

Why doesn't Captain America just stick him to a big magnet?

terrible casting

fuck this game was amazing

...
