Still one of the GOAT shows

No show will ever be this comfy

Every single female character is hot as fuck. I wish they had been my friends

Its sad to look them up now though.

Buffy got old & ugly and retired

Xander became a drunk wreck and got jailed

Cordelia now does softcore porn flicks

Only Anthony Head and Alyson H have gone on to better things really

...

>Cordelia now does softcore porn flicks
She had a kid right? She can't look that great.

>Cordelia now does softcore porn flicks
Whoa wait what. Gonna need some titles here matey

Boreanaz jumped from Buffy to Angel and a year after Angel ended he started on Bones.

>tfw so many feminists did their PhD on Buffy
>tfw you missed the chance to jump on that bandwagon because you thought it was just a stupid fad

>Cordelia now does softcore porn flicks
WUT? OMG GOOGLE DO YOUR MAGIC

anyone wants anything HD webmed from the first 5 seasons, let me know.

>Only Anthony Head

literally haven't seen him in anything before or after Buffy. is he a big deal in Britbong?

dark willow doing stuff

>alison hannigan

>first 5 season
>dark willow

one job, user.

Anything with boots and miniskirts from S1, I'll try to find something more specific.

that scene in season 5, can't think of the episode, where Buffy is stroking Dawn's hair and it's almost like they're about to kiss

>tfw you realize Buffy's love interest in S5 is Dawn

on it.

>You will never hang out in the Bronze

you mean the one before she jumps to her death?

nigger it was like a thousand years ago i dont remember that shit

Nah, it takes place in Dawn's room. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure it's the episode No Place Like Home

yea that's what i thought. already working on it. webm encoding is slow as fuck when you want quality.

there you go

thanks based user

...

seconding this

I prefer it if you ask stuff from seasons 2-5, tbqh. season 1's files are different and are a bitch to reencode, and i rather not deal with it.

Why was Anya so much better than all the others?

season 7 Anya deserved her death. talk about overstaying your bloody welcome.

He was most famous in Bongistan for a long running coffee ad campaign. He was in other shit but these ads were huge.

youtube.com/watch?v=TKlhL5JTHgE

>tfw seasons 1-3 were best
>tfw no one agrees with you

I agree, user. Season 4 was pretty poor and it never got better.

I had it bad for season 1 SMG.

brit commercials pure class

Her character got stale by season 6, but then the same could be said for Spike, Xander and even Willow. Tara was never good, her death was supposed to be dramatic but my reaction was "hmm, okay."

she is hot as the hellgate

season 3 is good. season 2 is good only after Angel turned (minus the awful motw episodes like go fish or killed by the death).
I think the show's high point was from the end of season 2 up to the musical episode, and it's all downhill from there (season 7 is so awful i don't even consider it part of the show when i think about it)

Spike was literally the only character still good by season 6. Spike carried the show after season 3; he was the only one that underwent any meaningful development.

That's the smoothest 42 seconds I've seen in my life.
Fucking Bongs.

Goddamn fucking top tier ace nigga

I love season 4, the hate for it has always baffled me. Sure Riley is kinda lame and the seasonal arc/villain is a complete misfire, but most of the season consists of top-tier comedy episodes. Also Giles' character arc in that season is great, about him feeling old and useless. It's also when Anya and Spike became main characters but before their shtick got old and they became annoying. IMO season 4 is amazing, only topped by seasons 2 and 3

Which season was it with that stupid Chad who was part of some weird military demon hunting force? And there was some cyborg type guy called Adam (I think?). Yeah, that's when Buffy went to shit.

I'm watching for the first time and I'm on the 3rd season now. I really can't stand that Xander character and I hope he dies soon. Also, Willow is a babe.

mein nigga. season is my favorite too. What i find interesting is that season 5 of Angel which is so loved by fans, is basically the same as season 4 of Buffy, right down to the 'bring in Spike to replace Cordy as a comic relief character'

I disagree, his "meaningful development" was becoming a love-sick faggot who pines after Buffy and eventually becomes her bitch-boy. It made sense that he would develop an attraction to her but they took it WAY too far.

They redeemed his character on Angel though

Who doesn't agree with you?
The high school seasons are without a doubt the best ones.
Even the low quality S1 had some true gold writing/banter and really only felt bad when it came to the MOTW stuff.
Especially the Xander stuff was top-tier.

also, Adam = Eve

>Beer bad

Season 4 had some stupid episodes. Also getting rid of oz and making willow gay were stupid and dumb decisions.

Riley was a stick in the mud and a completely uninteresting romance. Especially following angel. Adam was a lame villain and the season finale was lame.

How did Cordelia go from so good in Buffy to so shit in Angel?

She was great when she was sassy and bitchy, her being nice was just boring.

Is Buffy the TV show with the most attractive cast of all time?

Cordy was barely a character on Buffy, what are you even talking about?

I loved it too. Even liked Riley. The only real problem with it was Adam.

Beer bad is better than the majority of season 1 and season 2's MOTW episodes.

>Riley
>Chad

Um.. I don't think that word means what you think it means.

yeah, it wasn't my favourite development, but I could at least see it happening. spike was always an obsessive.

i guess i was just happy to be watching a skilled actor and not suffering through anymore tara/willow

(the part where spike tries to rape buffy is full retard. Buffy had proven to be stronger than him at pretty much every other point of the series. there's no way she would've ever been overpowered. dumb dumb dumb. And cheap for mr. feminist whedon to throw a rape scenario at his main character when he didn't know where to go with the story.)

What? She was dating Xander for ages and then hung around a lot before and afterwards too.

No, that's Charmed.

beer bad is based, gtfo. fun MOTW with a good message.

missed Oz so much though, he would've added a lot if they had kept him around.

>getting rid of oz
> dumb decisions.

but Seth Green wanted to leave and go do hippie shit.

...

Xander has some good and funny episodes, but most of the times he's a useless irritant. I hated him too.

I also hated how the buffy gang treated angel. after he lost his soul they still refered to him as 'angel' and not angelous. And when he came back ensouled, they still held it against him despite the fact that he no soul.

Angel did nothing wrong. Xander was a jealous cunt.

and she had exactly zero personality in all those stories. There's a reason why 'The Wish' didn't even focus on her and only used her to get to where they needed to get in the story.

I just can't make my mind on whatever or not I liked Oz. I think it would have work a bit better if it wasn't bloody Seth Green who played him.

>tfw this is my future even though im old
>tfw eye infection and no insurance so I probably wont even make it

I never got to watch this with other people so I want your guys opinions on these events.

>Spike attempting to rape Buffy.

>That twist in the season finale where Spike actually gets his soul back.

>Black principal vampire hunter

>The three nerd villains

>Willow skinning that guy alive.

>that fucking beer caveman episode

shit taste confirmed

he only wanted to leave because they weren't doing anything with him

>anything with boots and miniskirts from S1

Great taste.

>after he lost his soul they still refered to him as 'angel' and not angelous
why wouldn't they? the 'Angelus' differentiator was only introduced on Angel the show 2 years later by the writers.

Beer Bad is a so-bad-its-good episode, cracks me up every time.

>Also getting rid of oz
They didn't get rid of him, that faggot Seth Green left the show on short notice to pursue a film career or some shit.

>making willow gay were stupid
They didn't make her gay until season 5, in season 4 she just happened to fall for a woman and it's never implied that she's anything more than bisexual or maybe Tara is just an exception.

It's season 5 when they have all that dialogue that retardedly sets her in stone as a lesbo who has no interest in men whatsoever.

>Riley was a stick in the mud and a completely uninteresting romance.
Fair enough

>Adam was a lame villain
It's true Adam was lame, but like I said the arc is kept in the background and most of the episodes are great ones that have little to nothing to do with Adam or The Initiative. It's odd to me that people remember the few stupid story-arc episodes and conveniently forget about classics like Pangs, A New Man, Fear Itself, Superstar, and the Faith two-parter.

>and the season finale was lame.
You're probably thinking of the second-to-last episode, which finishes off the arc and is indeed a letdown. The actual finale, Restless, is one of the best fucking episodes of the entire series.

>mfw Angel was better in almost every way but we never have threads on it

Just leave me and Wesley's perfect character development to die user bros

How can you possibly dislike Xander?
He's the self insert for the entire male viewer base and the character with the most natural character development besides Buffy.
Also he's fun as fuck and a needed counterweight for the later seasons when everybody gets super powers.

no requests, so i'm posting randoms.

because liking Xander in this day and age is misogynist. He was liked by all back in the 90s

oy gevalt

>people like Oz

He was just boring as fuck. Also was he meant to be cool? People kept saying he was in the show but he was just dull.

Was it a 90s theme?

1. maybe the dumbest plot decision in the series. see 2. not the worst thing in the world, but didn't really care since Season 7 was so useless

3. horrible, only good in his final scene with Faith and there's real chemistry. i actually started to care about the two of them for a second, and then the show was over. lol.

4. i had forgotten about them, but they were pretty fun honestly. at least each had a personality. jonathan got short-changed though

5. dark willow was the dumbest character decision in the show

6. pretty fun, don't know why everyone whines like a baby about this episode. throwback to the cheesy season 1 MOTWs, which i always loved. (that dummy that was actually a demon-hunter -- great '90s camp)

What's your favourite episode and why is it The Zeppo?

Cordelia's character arc in Angel is great, she's far better in that series than on Buffy, same goes for every other character that crossed over. The fuck you on about

Holy shit, I need to rewatch this series.

literally a meme episode.

oh god

>Spike attempting to rape Buffy.
Interesting from a character perspective. But the Buffy-Spike ship never felt natural to me.

>That twist in the season finale where Spike actually gets his soul back.
Kind of crappy since his character pretty much didn't change at all.

>Black principal vampire hunter
I liked him. However I usually forget that he even existed.

>The three nerd villains
Fucking loved it! Third best villains below the Mayor and Dark Willow

>Willow skinning that guy alive.
I was sure that they would stop her before it, so I was genuinely chocked. Great move on Wedons part. Sadly they don't really do anything with it after Willow goes normal.

>that fucking beer caveman episode
Felt ridiculously forced and lazy.

>It's a Spike finally gets spiked episode.

Angel's dancing reminded me of Vampire Bloodlines when you'd go onto the dance floor everyone would stop dancing and look at you funny.

I love both, but I definitely prefer Angel. It's better in every way except for humor. Lilah is my favorite character.

Anyway let's not turn this thread into a debate, both shows are GOAT

>Only Anthony Head and Alyson H have gone on to better things really
They were already very established. In fact Alyson H for a time was in a ridiculous number of films with Seth G, a bit like Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn.

Head was in the Jonathan Creek pilot as the famous magician guy and has an American accent. Weird af.

>>that fucking beer caveman episode
>Felt ridiculously forced and lazy.
It was kinda like the caveman episode in Stargate except with a hot cave-Buffy and less grunting.

Because of how well the rest of the cast acts like it is the end of the world to such degree that it's full blown satire on their genuine end of the world episodes. That in context of Xander's shenanigans are just hilarious and truly great satire on the show's own expense.

It's definitely up there. My personal favorite is The Body, never fails to give me feels

>it's about the negative space

there's something about Angel that doesn't lend itself to a rewatch. With Buffy i can rewatch almost any random episode and be done with it. With Angel it feels like i need to watch from the very beginning every time, and that's a chore.

hard to argue that, also they liked wearing tight shirts with no bras. I wish Buffy and Angel had some of that

>When Buffy discovers the body
Best acting in the show there.
Felt almost too real.
Almost cried, and I don't cry because of TV.

Fuck off with that bullshit.

One of the great things about the show is that it grew and evolved with characters.

A lot of peope don't like change and they couldn't handle the shiftmon season 4. No more high school, no more library.

It would be like the cast of friends without the coffee shop.

But Buffy was ALWAYS brilliant. Even when it was shit.

I disagree, I find myself rewatching Angel far more often. Also when I rewatch Buffy it's one ep and I'm done, when I rewatch Angel it compels me to watch at least 2 or 3 more. Since I can always kinda remember what was going on the arc-heaviness isn't really a problem for me.

>tfw I've seen the season 4 Angelus/Faith arc at least 20 times

that's what i meant tho. When watching Angel you know you're gonna have to keep going, since it's a very arc and story heavy show, while buffy for the most part has more one offs you can just watch and go one with your life.

>ywn see 20 yo SMG and Alyson pokies and mid riff

The entire show is good, but the first four seasons are far, far better than anything that came after IMO. It became too soap-opera like in season 5 and only got worse in season 6. They let up on that a bit in season 7 but at that point you could tell they were running out of ideas.

>it grew and evolved with characters
Eh, the show never did a great job with character development outside of Buffy and Giles, and even they weren't that interesting after season 5.

Im sorry user, I wish you the best
