hey guys just ordered this baby yesterday, invoice said it'd be delivered in 8 months.
you like? im super hyped
Alexander Jenkins
gorgeous, what kind is it?
Chase Richardson
>Not a tube guitar
kek u fugged up
Jeremiah Miller
repetitive too reliant on bends and whammy way too long slow
you're putting me to sleep kid.
I guess if you're on LSD its amazing or something.
Owen Brooks
way less tasteful ur buggin
John Ross
now this is actually more my style. I dig this but probably wouldn't listen to an entire album
Christian Adams
It's a Cort G-series. It's cheap and amazing in my opinion, especially after you get it checked by a professional to adjust everything.
Nolan Bell
That's a good one lmao
Tyler Butler
in your own words what about the playing makes the first example "tasteful"
Adam Perry
Man that would be great if it didn't have a matching headstock
Lincoln Miller
the whammy is the only use ive ever enjoyed desu him and mbv and dinosaur jr i guess
nothin wrong with bends what does it matter whether u bend into another note or just play it
u wish u were that long knawmean senpai
Luke Ortiz
compare trhat to le ebin master master music man who knows poetry and subtle chords functioning and can make you feel the most extreme emotions a living thing can experience by a couple of notes and simple sounds
you have yet to post an example of this. show me. prove me wrong if you can. I'm not closeminded I just haven't seen any evidence towards this yet.
Elijah Evans
We don't play harps here.
Oliver Lewis
Speak for yourself
Samuel Green
A nice hollow body bass is the last thing on my wanna buy at some point some day list. I love this 60's Yamaha.
Evan Adams
it sounds like the guy in ur video could be replaced by anyone else, nothign about how hes playing is distinctive noone plays like stevie
Isaiah Martin
That thing's truss rod is probably stronger than the beams in the World Trade Center.
Christian Long
RATE THIS RATE THIS a.clyp.it/1xrsj5zx.mp3 Basically a ripoff on Rory Gallagher's Bad Penny
John Rodriguez
Cool, gotta check them out (or the casino version of it) been looking for a smaller hollowbody to lounge around with.
Juan Torres
That's not a guitar
Hudson Morris
I don't mind it but I understand why you're saying that. My other guitar is a M600t. It's been like 6 months since I last touched it.
Leo Jackson
It's got 2
I think it's debatable at this point tee bee haych
John Hill
Real question, why are you guys such cynical assholes?
I mean I guess the answer is >Sup Forums but I want to hear you guys answer it.
Why do you dicks see music objectively? It isn't.
Brayden Phillips
>man plays 5 notes in different order for 8 minutes and 36 seconds
quick reminder that based Rory could've beat the shit out of literally any guitar player
Nolan Cox
Careful, the Casino Coupe comes with Epiphone p90s, where as my 339 comes with the Epiphone p90 pro, although I'm not quite sure of the difference
Thomas Bennett
>its good because its old Thats the fundamental ideology for guitarists when it comes to musicians and gear. They have this overzealous reverence for all things old. That's why they shell out hundreds for old "botique pedals" that honestly sound the same as newer pedals and that's why they're reluctant to admit amp sims and modeling technology is just as good as tube amps.
Owen Baker
because i dont give a shit about other peoples opinions on music, i know what i like and i know what i hate. i'm too old and tired of this stupid subjectivity nonsense to give a fuck anymore
Luis Lee
>He expects anyone to keep a good conversation on track on a himalayan crossfit imageboard.
Isaiah Young
ive been thinking of getting a casino coupe but i just bought a classic vibe so ill probably hold out for a bit
Dylan Watson
Sounds like you should kill yourself.
Jaxon Rodriguez
I get that. I think though while paul gilbert is emulating some older blues guys he puts a distinct modern spin on it which I like which still sounds like blues and not blues-rock. To me vaughn sounds like every song in the 70s which isn't a good or bad thing
Gabriel Scott
im actually a ghost tho
Anthony Green
>People in this thread actually talking like they're better than Petrucci
kek
Zachary Hill
because we're looking for confirmation bias and won't accept anything that contradicts that.
Lucas Perry
b-but any robot could replace what hes doing. alternate picking is easy sweep picking is so easy a newborn baby can do it he has no emotions
Eli Thomas
>i know what i like and i know what i hate. >this stupid subjectivity nonsense
Eh...that's almost a contradiction
This board is full of contrarian faggots, horny teens and hipsters, frankly I don't know what you're expecting.
Caleb Mitchell
sidenote: why does every song have to be so "full of emotion" I hear a lot of old songs just saturated with "emotion and feeling" that it just sounds melodramatic at a certain point like a bad soapopera.
Kevin Harris
>watching rock discipline >do these "easy" exercises >mfw no face
Charles Long
that 70's thing of having a picture behind them while they play is kinda cool
Zachary Bailey
i really dont know how you people can even listen to dream theater. it's so cheesy. i mean i can listen to guthrie govan, but something about dream theater just makes me roll my eyes
Angel Price
>you can't critique anyone unless you're better than them just delete every art board on Sup Forums then
Elijah Rivera
on Crest Of a Wave he has the sheet music for it in the background lol
Juan Davis
this is pretty dope. its got dynamics a sense of urgency/agression, groove and feeling.
Andrew Williams
Pretty much this.
Fuck insight and thoughtful conversation, i just wanna feel like my opinions are better than other peoples. My opinions on everything are completely correct, and everyone else is dead wrong. For some reason I'm just the one person in the world that's right about everything.
Right cognitive dissonance?
>right bud!
Christian Price
no sorry im more right than you and you are a complete pleb
Aaron Martinez
How you feel about DT is how I feel about dadrock. so you can understand right? people can go on and on all day to you about petrucci and you probably won't give a shit.
same for me and these dadrock and bloooze players.
so you see we're not so different you and I
Connor Lee
Anything slightly prog makes me cringe.
John Parker
I said talking like they're better than Petrucci, not critiquing him.
Aaron Walker
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Gavin Harris
What if they're better?
Ayden Hall
no one on this board is better than petrucci
he can play circles around me and i'll never be a technically better guitarist than he is, but i hate his music.
he is a very cool guy though, so it's not like i hate him, i just hate what he writes
Luis Cook
kek this is sick
who's talking like that?
Dominic Flores
WRONG
Luis Perry
y?
Grayson Miller
Because while I appreciate the technical aspect of the genre, I feel some kind of pompous vibe around it. Well prog is pretty large but I'm talking about the last 10/20 years. Sometimes, I'd rather listen to some chill math rock than Opeth
James Cox
I really enjoy that
Jonathan Mitchell
So /gg/ who is your favorite guitarist or bassist to see live? Not favorite band, just favorite live performer, or i suppose they could be the same thing.
Brian Setzer is do not miss for me when he comes through town. Him and his whole band. Always incredible show and excellent playing.
Nice energy, nice vibe, nice performer, I like the guy and I like his watch, I was some I was a /fa/ggot so I'd be able to find a similar one.
Carson Evans
how to raise action on a tremolo bridge ive tried raising the saddles and not much is happening. what the screwing heck is wrong with my guhtar lads
Hudson Young
loosen the truss rod.
Brayden Rogers
I, love it.
Angel Clark
Saddles are as high as they will go? You'll need to loosen the truss rod a bit. Make sure to watch a couple tutorials on how. The most important part is checking neck relief so you know what's happening when you adjust. It's simple enough. Put capo on first fret, hold down last fret, see how much space is between the strings and the top of the 12th fret.
