Why are americans so fucking retarded and poor?
LMFAO
Why are americans so fucking retarded and poor?
LMFAO
Why are canadians so obsessed with America? That's the better question.
Niggers?
nrp just did a great story on it about the savings account situation
basically...(after a long post)...people are looking for respect from those places and would rather have cash on hand borrowed from their next pay check
TIL I'm worth more than the average American family
huh
>it's a blame the working class for not having the adequate education for making financial decisions episode
Yeah, cus the internet doesn't exist right?
Khanacademy and investopedia doesn't exist to teach you everything you'll ever need, right?
Kill yourself
How are they even supposed to find those sites in the first place? By googling randomly and trying separate those two sites from the thousands of "get rich quick" scam links and malware sites?
By turning your minuscule brain on
It's the age of information. This info is not hidden or hard to find. There's so many free resources. Khanacademy and Investopedia has tons of advertising.
If you can't use your 80iq brain to navigate to these websites and read information broken down to the level of a teenager, maybe they deserve to be poor. Maybe some people deserve to be rich and smart and some remain poor and dumb.
How much money do you need for retirement?
Depends on how you want to live
>Khanacademy and Investopedia has tons of advertising
So they are supposed to find them by clicking some sketchy ad (but not any ad, or they'll get scammed).
It's obvious that finding the required knowledge requires some degree of apriori knowledge of how filter out the irrelevant information.
Stopp being an entitled upper middle class cunt.
America is a terrible place to be if you are average (compared to other developed countries) but it's nigh unrivalled if you are smart and determined enough to get into that top 1%
>You're entitled for not being fucking retarded
Okay dude
How is it a sketchy site when it's a registered, non-profit website partnered with many educational institutions?
>you need certain knowledge to find free websites filled with information
How retarded are the people you're describing? If they're that stupid maybe they need their caretaker to help them.
Let's look at the path you've laid.
First, the people must understand how to use the internet, and have access to it. Then they must pursue knowledge, but not the wrong type or they'll be scammed or misinformed. Then they need to apply that information to their lives on a practical level.
This is assuming that Investopedia and Khan Academy alone are adequate.
Quit treating the working class like they're intellectually on par with fetuses equipped with Downs syndrome. It really is not a hard task to acquire trustworthy information in this day and age
it isn't about the lack of knowledge
you have to understand them in order to understand their habits and lives not say they don't do what you do because they don't know better
this is how you have a huge division of the classes of people and how you have a huge percentage of people that is changing the way banks operate
why are they willing to pay a fee so large that they could do it for free at a bank, ie, getting their cash or their checks?
and no it isn't they don't know better
But okay Mr. Swede.
You've made a very astute point. Perhaps it truly IS difficult to find this information, let's test if you're correct.
I will search a few personal-finance related questions that are at the top of any financially illiterate person's mind. Let's see how many of the top results are TRULY malware and ad-filled.
Let's start.
"How to create a monthly budget?"
Monthly budgets are the bread and butter of personal finance, arguably the most important. In order to track income and expenses and see where money is going!
Here's the results of my google search I just did a few seconds ago. (pic related).
The first 5 results are from non-virus nor scam websites.
Next question.
"How does credit card debt work?"
Pic related, the first 7 results are not viruses nor scams, nor anything else unsavory.
Most anglo countries shit on the working class.
But better education obviously makes you more fit for making financial decisions. Being indifferent towards the plight of the working class because you "respect their ability to make choices", even if they constantly make choices that misgovern them, is just a bullshit liberal defence of "freedom of choice".
"What is an amortization period for mortgages?"
First few links are literally from the government of Canada owned websites and banks.
None of them are scams nor malware.
You can find the exact same graph for most countries
Welcome to capitalism
Mr. Swede
It appears as though upon simply googling the questions you get tons of websites that explain in-depth, for free how personal finance works.
Can you really claim it's a problem of lack of education then? Or rather of simply being too lazy/ignorant to google a simple search query?
Your search results are largely determined by your search history.
What you usually google, too, varies according to class background, which in turn affects your search results.
For example
theglobeandmail.com
>Half of Canadian couples between 55 and 64 have no employer pension between them, and of those, less than 20 per cent of middle-income families have saved enough to adequately supplement government benefits and the Canada/Quebec Pension Plan, says the report, to be released Tuesday by the Broadbent Institute.
I was actually raised in an inner city and the swede is right.
Most people are too stupid to figure most of this out on their own.
I have cleared my browser cookies, history and cache prior.
>What you usually google, too, varies according to class background, which in turn affects your search results.
I'm not logged into my gmail account.
I can try this again from a freshly installed browser if you wish.
Lol
>I was actually raised in an inner city and the swede is right.
>Most people are too stupid to figure most of this out on their own.
Then what's the solution?
It would appear then that no matter how much you try to help them, it will not work.
I guess you could add a mandatory highschool class, but I have a feeling Cleetus and Jamarius will just sleep through it. Much like with basic mathematics (It is said that the average American adult struggles with highschool-tier math)
Why are Canadians so autistic?
Public education needs to be fixed.
>I guess you could add a mandatory highschool class
That's exactly what is needed.
>I have a feeling Cleetus and Jamarius will just sleep through it
At least that would legitimise your class contempt, so it's a win-win.
I'm just refuting what the Swede has claimed about it being difficult to find these websites.
I have googled these popular personal finance questions and have not stumbled on a scam or malware site within the first 10 results yet.
CAN It be fixed?
Should we simply let people fail, or further expend resources when they do not care?
>That's exactly what is needed.
But we have this with other highschool classes.
In my highschool we learned about making resumes, basic personal finance, applying to jobs, etc. The people who didn't give a shit, as usual just sailed through and did what they needed to pass.
The people who DID care would have just googled this and found it all out on their own.
You can add as many classes as you want but you're not addressing the fundamental issue. The issue IS NOT lack of information, it's lack of interest. Information is plentiful, as I have just demonstrated. What's lacking is people being interested in this.
>CAN it be fixed?
How the hell should I know?
And besides, can't you just see you keep making excuses?
You're doing everything to make these poor, innocent victims of capitalism not responsible for their choices.
First it was:
>They can't find the information on their own!!!
"Actually they can, you can google search these queries"
>All the websites are filled with malware and scams
"Okay let's test that, hmm seems they aren't."
Now you're claiming my fucking browser search history generated these results. Yet my cookies and history was cleared. (I'm willing to search with multiple search engines and browsers if you want me to, but I think that's a little useless when we both know the results)
People just don't care. They deserve to be poor, and some deserve to be rich. That's how it is, we're not equal.
In my opinion, Americans need to learn how to live within their means. Too many people buy things they can't afford and take out loans that they can't pay back. No one will learn unwillingly, but luckily we do live in an age of information where anyone from any socioeconomic class has access to information that can teach them to manage their finances. People born into a poor families now have the ability to mold their own future. We truly live in great times.
>t.ex-poorfag who launched a successful business last year
There really is no secret to this shit.
It's just like with obesity being a problem in the US. EVERYONE Knows how to not be a fatfuck, but no one actually cares about it. Doesn't matter how many free youtube videos, free wikis dedicated to health and fitness, how many hs classes you have when the underlying fundamental remains unchanged - People do not care.
I know that feel bro.
Immigrant from 3rd world shithole who's parents have no clue how anything financial works reporting in
>People just don't care. They deserve to be poor, and some deserve to be rich. That's how it is, we're not equal.
*flicks e-cigarette*
>Gets disproven on every single thing he's said
>Ends up just giving up instead of conceding that I was right
Do you have anything else to say?
What else do i need to disprove?
Hello?
Do you still believe that the information is hidden by the Rothschilds?
>they have 3800 in the bank
kek what the fuck
>Mississippi
How does that even happen?
>It really is not a hard task to acquire trustworthy information in this day and age
Honestly, the pearl is right there, at the bottom of the thousand-ton pile of shit!
With all that noise out on the net, how are people even gonna know the _good_ info is even out there, much less how to find it, when their education has been actively sabotaged to boot?
Look at my screencaps.
Info is a google query away
>Should we simply let people fail, or further expend resources when they do not care?
Right, why even bother teaching plebs how to read? If they can't figure that out for themselves, then they're clearly idiots!
We don't teach people how to use google?
How many more mandatory classes do we need to absolve parents and the individual of doing any independent thinking?
So is a fuckton of spam.
What?
Which of the results was spam?
Point them out to me
Because people 30+ had been fed the lie that hard work would make them set for life, when all it has done for them is force them to live paycheck to paycheck.
It's not just hard work, you have to be intelligent about it, and education fucked up several generations so now you have people 30-55 who don't know shit about finance.
Another reason is because local business owners like to keep startups from reaching anywhere if they present any sort of competition.
Welcome to American style "capitalism".
This is spam?
Or maybe the government of Canada owned sites or bank sites explaining credit are spam?
Unfucking the education system would be a start. Easier and cheaper in the long run than having to forever unfuck minds one at a time.
Also people learn to filter out spam much quicker if you take the trouble to walk them through the first step. This can easily be a part of the unfuck-the-school step above.
Why would you not have contempt for the lower classes?
Also forgot to add that there are predatory tactics that many companies employ such as identity theft. To straight up steal people's money.
It's not legal, but there's no way to catch them doing it unless someone from the inside leaks it.
If theyre young and dont have a plan, they are stupid lower class idiots
A lot of older ones are new to the concept of the internet, you would just need government pamphlets and maybe have a programme, encourage banks perhaps to ask them to come in to make a plan?
I have contempt for the upper classes.
Mainly because they treat me with the attitude you seem to be displaying.
Because you're dumb
I cant stand most of the lower classes, get a few good and honest ones who are endearing but the rest are either whiney entitled pricks, deanos or chavs
>i have on my name property 3 times the worth of the average american house
>tfw i come to a north Korean mattresses web forum to be called niggerspic by americans on a daily basis.
then leave
Tbh they can't stand each other either
It's a race to the bottom with that kind
How old are you though?
>Why don't uneducated over-worked poor americans hop on the internet and learn to manage their finances?
Really makes ya think!
Good job then, pointing out the sites that you can finally get to, to people that may or may not have actually been shown how2filter.
People need to know the good stuff is out there in the first place, before they can be arsed to go and look. Holding out pre-filtered results therefore needs to be done saying "it's out there, this is what it looks like" rather than "you're a retard for not already knowing this before you were even born, now go back to the ghetto where you belong and don't ever even try to leave".
What class would you say you are? idk if you go on /brit but it does seem from them that you also have our class system
Case in point.
We have pamphlets and tv adverts encouraging people to make plans here but we dont have as much trouble doing it in general as Americans
Ye very difficult to google
Need many hours per week to uncover difficult concept.
Whatever. I guess society needs people to clean toilets too. Can't help those who refuse to help themselves. Makes it easier for us to get ahead then.
I've done a lot of work convincing retards that College is a "Jew scam" in the past. Hehe
you should go on that awesome mexican chan that's so great instead. oh wait...
is it true american kfc doesn't put chicken salt on their chips?
nah,i like it rough, we're all cut by the same blade once the reaper comes and drags us to hell.
20, parents have a shit ton of confidence in me i guess. They sureley don't deserve me
Du er riktig, de trenge sosialisme
Thats pretty young to have a house worth that much, only one sibling?
>3800 in the bank
This has got to be blacks and mexishits bringing down the average again. I can't imagine any white family having such a tiny amount of savings.
Hell I'm single and I have $4500 just sitting in a drawer in my apartment.
>just sitting in a drawer in my apartment.
you're the one bringing the average down then you mongoloid
People generally have money invested, rather in their bank account.
it's only a house in which we used to live in, we made it into apartments and now rent half of it.
money is like a snowball that turns into an avalanche and my family knows that, it's on my name because I manage and pay the bills for it in order to have a credit history and help my father when we want to venture in a bigger project.
There's also this;
youtube.com
Not sure if we do, it's pretty crazy for you guys. That Duke/Prince that inherited 9bn a few months ago?
Well I assume when they say "bank" they mean all types of accounts, checking, money market, investment etc.
If they just meant a savings account then that's so stupid a figure that it isn't even worthy of comment.
kfc doesnt even sell chips friendo
They do.
It refers to savings account. Average Canadian/American family. I agree it is stupid though, makes it seem like we're all poor lol
There's 11MILLION millionaires living in the US.
Well then that's fucking retarded.
That's it?
Nigger, you're autistic for dedicating research to posts on a site used for international shitposting.
Even if you're right, you've used your autism to attempt to change the mind of a single swede - who is probably trolling you. You are not using this brainpower for any productive purpose, which makes you no better than the people you criticize.
That's quite a lot desu
Delet this
Why do I always get trolled?
I post on a lot of finance and economics forums so I guess I get memed when I step off
That is not very much compared to the really rich people, he has so much money because he is the Duke of Westminster and has always owned a lot of property in London, house prices in London have been continuously skyrocketing for ages, the value of his property has increased hugely as a result .
Context: House which cost 1 million 15 years ago is now worth 3 million. Many properties which are just 5 bedroom houses are worth 10 million, bigger ones go up to 25-30 million
He also has a property empire throughout the country part of a really big real estate company which also helps buy/sell for other people, called Grovensor, one of the big dozen retail agencies here
t. powerfull mayan wise warrior descendant
>TFW you'll never be a duke of anything
Why even exist?
Well I guess I could get my heirs to inherit my kingdom.

This is, in detail, the British class system:
Lower Working class
-ironically named as they do not work
Worst people in society
Middle Working Class
unskilled or unprofitable skills but do work- cleaners, caretakers, receptionists, cashiers, carpenters in some places
Used to be miners and factory workers as well but...
Upper Working Class
Some skill- low end tradesmen, builders, factory workers(most current ones are a bit more technical) , retail, delivery drivers, mailmen
sometimes they are shoehorned into higher end jobs but they never lose their ways- socially they dont move further than lower middle even if they become rich
Lower middle- often services and are trashy as well, often buy things they cant afford to flash on social media, they are the ones who are "sales managers" in chain-shops, tradesmen, train drivers, bar staff.other boring things
middle middle have low paying jobs which require some competency, are usually boring and mainstream people-
most civil servants, low end accountancy and admin postions, clerk or librarian,
chef or waiter in a good restaurant,
shop manager, own their own small shop, technical professions-well qualified tradesman who has his own business, engineers, pilots, pharmacists, hospital staff
most teachers
most university professors
sometimes are good, sometimes are like lower-middle
Upper Middle-
Some pilots
Bankers
Lawyers
doctors
higher end engineers ,admin and accountants
Business owners
Architects
Private School teachers
High ranking Army Officers and Civil servants
Rich university professors in good Unis
Lower Upper
Usually same jobs as upper middle, intermingling and overlapping with upper middle but usually have more inherited land and houses and go shooting more
Middle Upper
Large landowners and CEOs
If they choose to have jobs its usually mostly same as upper middle
Upper Upper
Royalty , Dukes and Earls
If they choose to have jobs its usually mostly same as upper-middle
I aim to get at least CBE before i die
Interesting
Is it really quite so distinguished though? I could believe this to be so in the olden days but does it really remain this way now?
Because the financial instruments you're talking about either didn't exist until WW2, or didn't exist as far as 99.99999% of the human race was concerned. "I mean, why haven't we all figured out a cure for cancer by now?"
Why don't you set up some more meaningless challenges for people to fail at?
I think they are rich.
>having a hold of your finances is a "meaningless challenge"
Yes, why would it be different?
The job differentiations are the big ones but social tastes are also important and distinguishing, we are able to tell what class someone is in very easily.
You can just tell what class someone is just by speaking to them for a minute or what they watch, what sports they like, what they do in their free time, how they dress, how the speak etc.
The differentiations are murky in some places/ professions but usually you can tell, difference between upper lower and lower middle is the hardest one to tell apart really.
Pic related- a classist meme against people from a certain town
Shopping regularly at Tescos and going outside in your pyjamas is seen as a lower /lower middle class thing to do
