im 28 years old, i know a bit of guitar but not a lot, is it too late to become a good guitar player, is it really worth it playing rock after 30, whitout getting chicks, without going out with friends for a beer without youth, while having a demanding job, is it worth to rock just for rocks sake?
Samuel Murphy
Get in a cover band and make some major bucks at bars and shit. Casino gigs usually always pay about 1000 bucks for a band to play a 2-3 hour set.
William Howard
is it too late to become a shreder? can i become a decent metal guitarist in a couple of years practicing like one hour per day? or does it demand full time dedication?
Liam Gonzalez
offsets are garbage and pedalboards are for people who can't play
Cameron Gomez
As long as you practice daily, you'll get there.
David Moore
is being a metal guitarist exclusive? like, if i want to also play stoner rock and blues, is it a path too different?
Ryan Adams
>pedalboards are for people who can't play Or for people who play live Not everyone with a pedalboard is a silly bedroom shoegayzer
Adrian Hall
Nah, not too different. You just shred less.
Cooper Parker
Slate Digital plugins are well-known here and just another enhancer plugin? I loved it when i found it. Could you point some good plugins and vsts? I really appreciate the sound you're getting.
Btw i used the les paul onto the alien mars and the cheap nylon acoustic, both miked with a cheap sm57 copy
Kevin Wright
Why does your tele have 3 strings and your strat 4 strings? Also your 12 string has a broken string. Do you not have any strings, dawg?
Jordan Murphy
Cause tfw no job
The tele saddles are a piece of shit that breaks string (even the low e) by the string's first week no matter how much you sand it. I will only string that guitar when i get a new, vintage-like bridge
Luke Thomas
Anyone in a band in central USA wanna trade shows?
Jaxson Peterson
>That one song from the 90s that everyone forgot that you like
The mix feels kind of awkward and lop-sided with electric on the left and acoustic on the right. I would have double tracked both, hard-panning the electric and doing the acoustic maybe 50-50 or something around there. Or maybe just put one acoustic in the middle, but then it might be at odds with the lead when it comes in. Anyhow the playing's pretty nice, seems like some good standard rock stuff
Jayden Ortiz
Guys I'm torn between getting Bias Fx or Bias Amp, anyone with experience with them able to give me their opinion? Anyone with input on any similar types of software are more than welcome to share it also.
Julian Diaz
I found some dude selling this. Is it even real? Can't be.
Christian Phillips
I posed this tone two (?) threads ago, here it is in a mix. any better?
I guess i'll do what you said last Double track the electric and hard-pan it And an acoustic, just for the texture, on the center or slightly to the side, and automation its volume/pan on the solo spots for it not to mix up
I'm still on the stage of learning of copying others and trying to sound like them but it seems people dont enjoy standard/dad rock much
Parker Davis

Is Crate and Behringer ok for amp brands? I could pick up a head and cab for $150.
Aiden Stewart
Why so?
Cooper Foster
for that money i would get a used peavey combo
Luke Torres
...
Oliver Watson
Am I wrong about Peavey being a lower end metal amp?
Hudson Hughes
Yes, completely. Peavey 6505 is the stereotypical modern metal sound
Camden Murphy
What about a set of Marshalls for around $220?
David Anderson
I know the 6505 is a standard in metal.
Is their classic line for blues/rock worth a damn?
Camden Rivera
Anyone have suggestions for a guitar with a tele sound in the neighborhood of $500?
Jason Bell
yes, their late 70s/early 80s combos go for like 200 all day and are great amps
uh what model?
Thomas Bailey
G100rcd Head and MG412B cab
Bentley Rodriguez
It's the stereotypical metal sound going back to the early 90s m8.
Low end Marshall stuff is garbage.
Cooper Parker
Laneys > Marshalls Prove me wrong
David Howard
super shit cab, wouldn't touch. pretty meh head but tolerable through a better cab. still would get something else though
Matthew Robinson
both make good and shit amps so....
Andrew Watson
What makes a good cab, arent they just glued wood with a speaker and a grill?
Asher Rodriguez
well that cab has shit speakers so that ruins it off the bat. in the case of closed back cabs good sealing does help too
Eli Taylor
>Cause tfw no job KEK what a fucking loser
Andrew Jackson
for the guitars I'm using s-gear and amplitube 4 with reaper EQ setup in that link I posted earlier
then in a bus for all the guitar tracks I'm using the slate plugins (mix rack & tape) + "thrillseeker xtc blac" to fatten up the sound a bit, "freeverb3 stereo enhancer" for the same again and just some reverb as well
this is only good for "recording" though, with so many plugins running you won't be able to actually play with this sound as you hear it
Austin Perez
The height and depth affects bass response, the quality of the wood affects speaker reverberations (voidless wood provides better resonance), Not to mention that those cabs come with shit speakers. Look for something with voidless birch and celestion or eminence speakers.
Christopher King
it just sounds really bad. it sounds really, really fake, even relatively to a lot of other plugins.
Brayden Ortiz
i need to practice RIGHT NOW
Tyler Kelly
Lmao what
Benjamin Cruz
Then do it.
Thomas Collins
what should i practice?
Brandon Ross
I don't know. What do you play?
Wyatt Martinez
everything cuz i'm still learning basics
Michael Gray
Well, first I'd tell you to pick something and stay with it. Jack of all trades is master of none.
Angel Allen
>everyone going apeshit on a redditor about to release his information >it all stops
well rip now its gonna be a boring thread
Adrian Evans
t. PC_Viking
Oliver Barnes

Adam Baker

Carson Barnes
The solos are just different combinations of the same licks LMAO
Ryan Sanchez
Just learn blues then brag about your emotions to 4chins
Lucas Scott
This man has more musical talent in one finger than you have in your whole body.
Lincoln Turner
>tfw you shit all over blues, jazz, and metal fags
Tyler Miller

Benjamin Morris
What is it cuckboys, you scared of me? You better be you fucking gg plebs.
Jason Ward
Nobody "shits" over nobody on gay internet debates and namecallings this is literally clickbait-tier shitposting "watch this girl destroy patriarchy with one sentence!" bullshit smd
Alexander Mitchell
We heard you were talking shit about me. So why don't we have a guitar battle, loser sucks my dick.
Brandon Jenkins
>tfw too intelligent for playing one stereotypical genre.
Noah Hernandez
This is sad, please stop.
Lucas Wilson
Hey blues dads and jazz fags, Fuck you I'm better
Jace Jenkins
...
Luke Sullivan
So you're telling me you can't sing, growl, shred, blues, jazz, and death metal? How sad.
Nolan Cooper
Let me see the "combinations of licks" you can come up with, i bet you don't even play
Evan Watson
Prepare to be euthanized blues dad.
Owen Fisher

Leo Foster
You think I won't fuk ur mum on her period? Fuck off cuck.
Parker Davis
Fender thinks I am gonna play their shitty blues dad amps, I'll cuck them while wearing their gear.
Wyatt Anderson

Gavin Fisher
>Mic water bottle holder He should just put it on the amp
Nolan Murphy

Charles Reed
>Putting things on the amp
YAMETE
Gabriel Rivera
Lol then those autists on 4chins started banging on their chest with their hands like this. What a bunch of retards.
Tyler Jackson
>tfw can do cord change when im playing fast and dont think about it, but cant do it slowly
Dylan Stewart
Have you tried slowing down and practicing with a metronome?
Hudson Lee
probably think about it too much when it's slow, i do it with a few things
Adam Lewis
it sounded real good, congratulations do you care for the settings on the slate tape plugin? i'll look for that thrillseeker xtc
Elijah Richardson
busy charging my metronome, will try soom
Isaac Murphy
Hes just a snob Guys these days are retarded picky snobs, myself more or less included
